Disambiguation link notification for May 30
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Enhanced Integrated Framework, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages French and Portuguese (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Joyce Wong (director) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Joyce Wong (director), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~ Amkgp 💬 14:03, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
Joyce Wong
[edit]As an AFC reviewer I am going to approve the draft, because she does have a valid notability claim and you have added sources, but I need to make a few minor edits to clean up the formatting and structure a bit before it can be moved. But I just tried to save some of those, and had an edit conflict with you because you made another edit to the page after I started — so could you hold off on editing the page for a few minutes so I can make the cleanup edits and proceed with the approval? Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 15:34, 26 July 2020 (UTC)

Bearcat (talk) 15:44, 26 July 2020 (UTC)Thanks for waiting. Just to fill you in, the main thing I needed to change is that because film and television directors aren't necessarily automatically notable enough for articles just because their work exists, what we need to do is to ensure that their strongest notability claim is actually reflected in the lead so that it's evident right from the start. So I moved the two awards that constitute the strongest notability claims (Dunning and TFCA) to the first paragraph. Other than that, it was mostly just a matter of minor formatting cleanup like placing references before external links instead of after them, and using the IMDB name template instead of formatting her IMDb profile as a wikilink, and italicizing the film and TV titles. (We also don't use the "honours" field in the infobox to list just every "people to watch" listicle the person was ever named in; we use it only to list major distinctions like the Order of Canada or wins of major notability-clinching awards.) But thanks again. Bearcat (talk) 15:50, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
- Also, one other quick question: I wasn't able to add her to ethnicity-based categories, because I don't know whether her background is Mainland Chinese for the purposes of Category:Canadian people of Chinese descent, Taiwanese for Category:Canadian people of Taiwanese descent, or Hong Kong for the purposes of Category:Canadian people of Hong Kong descent. If you know which one of those categories is the most appropriate and suitable, could you either add it or let me know which one if you'd rather that I did it? Thanks.
