You are invited to the first ever Glasgow Wiki Meetup which will take place at The Sir John Moore, 260-292 Argyle Street, City of Glasgow G2 8QW on Sunday 12 May 2013 from 1.00 pm. If you have never been to one, this is an opportunity to meet other Wikipedians in an informal atmosphere for Wiki and non-Wiki related chat and for beer or food if you like. Experienced and new contributors are all welcome. This event is definitely not restricted just to discussion of Scottish topics. Bring your laptop if you like and use the free Wifi or just bring yourself. Even better, bring a friend! Click the link for full details. Looking forward to seeing you. Pending release of Notifications
Hey Stwalkerster :). I'm dropping you a note because you have signed up for the Notifications, or Echo, newsletter.
If all goes according to plan, we should be launching Echo on en-wiki either tomorrow, or next Tuesday - I'll drop a followup tomorrow when we know what's happening. Should the launch succeed, we'll begin the process of triaging bugs and gathering feedback on what features work, what cause problems, and what we should do next; I hope you'll help us out on these fronts by leaving any comments you might have on the talkpage.

- Test Helpmebot's twitter <=> facebook link. It's been broken since Jan 2012, and apparently it's gonna stay broken for a while longer. [stwalkerster|talk] 04:01, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

Re ACC suspension
My account was suspended. I mailed them but have not got any reply. Seeing FastLizard's contribution page, I can see he is not active these says. Meanwhile, I have read the ACC guide very carefully. If you see my contribs, you'll find I went for a short WikiBreak too! Actually I was studying on multiple topics like Wikimedia's copyright policy, Non US copyrights etc, ACC guide was one of those. I am requesting to unsuspend my account. This time, I have thought to handle much less (only few )requests than I previously did, so that I can concentrate on each request in a much better way. Could you please unsuspend or forward this request to appropriate location? Best, --Tito Dutta (contact) 03:40, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
- Titodutta, while I think you have been suspended long enough now, I think you should not receive the account creator flag for a while. But it's up to you stwalkerster.—cyberpower ChatOffline 03:56, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
- I've nudged FL4 on IRC, I'll give him a while before poking others :) [stwalkerster|talk] 04:00, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
- The thing which I think was not noticed the huge number of requests I handled at that period (500+ in 8 days?) At that time there was severe backlog. So, the ratio of total number of requests and number of errors should have been a point to concentrate too. Believe it or not, for those 8-9 days I worked for 7-8 hours per day to bring the backlog under control. And the day, it became normal, I got suspended! --Tito Dutta (contact)
- Hello Titodutta. I've gone ahead and unsuspended you from ACC, you should soon be receiving an email indicating such. Please be advised that you'll have to resubscribe to the ACC mailing list (be sure to resend the identification email too) sometime in the next week or you may be suspended, and if you want your access to the IRC channel restored just poke an admin the next time you connect. Happy account creating! FastLizard4 (talk•contribs) 06:34, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
