Arb Report

[edit]

Yeah, I was just itching to do it :) I'd be glad to collaborate with you on it in the future. Together, our (average) graph skills will make the best Signpost articles ever! :P

Anyway, I'll be sure to add in the amendment request, which by the way is written very well. Cheers, Lord Roem (talk) 01:00, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I normally draft the Arb report in a word document and post it on Saturday or Sunday (so today) but to be honest hadn't even started to do so yet. Kinda dropped the ball, been a bit busy :-). Eh, that was written in about 10 minutes, I normally take half an hour to write stuff like that. I do take pride in being eloquent :) Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 01:04, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Abortion amendment request

[edit]

Steve, I think it's safe to say that there's no one, absolutely no one on Wikipedia that I trust more than you. But dude, I was in over my head at the Abortion Arbitration thing before, and I can't lie to you--I don't really even understand what you want to do here. It's like the backstage pages on Wikipedia are the only thing in my entire life that have made me think that I have ADD. If you want me to !vote on something, just say the word. But when I went over to that page you linked me to, I didn't even know what to do. (All I really want to do is edit. Every time I try to do anything else, I end up hurting those I'm trying to help.) Sorry. HuskyHuskie (talk) 05:16, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, in short, I want the committee to allow the community to deal with the dispute through a binding structured discussion, as opposed to one structures by ArbCom. That's pretty much it :-) Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 20:27, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Abortion sources

[edit]

I'm pretty sure I've volunteered myself to gather a source list for this. Yay! Leave me a note on my talk page when I can start. -- Eraserhead1 <talk> 20:23, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Eh, lets wait and see what ArbCom says, and we will go from there. Regards, Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 20:27, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP:HOCKEY

[edit]

Howdy Steven. A diacritics compromise at WP:HOCKEY, clearly states that diacritics are not to be used on players names on all North American hockey pages. Djsasso is claiming an exception for Quebec-based articles. It's my fear, Djssaso is trying to provoke me into another Rfc/U. How should I handle this situation? GoodDay (talk) 23:24, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Link me to the discussion and I'll take a look. Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 23:28, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the discussion & here's the related WikiProject. -- GoodDay (talk) 23:31, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I saw at the project page it does say that "All North American hockey pages should have player names without diacritics." Djsasso said that "It has been argued at wp:hockey. And has been decided the QMJHL doesn't fall under it." Where did that discussion take place? Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 23:36, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know & I certaintly don't remember any decision being made to have Quebec-based pages as an exception to the North American-half of the compromise. If Dj wants to re-open a can of worms at WP:HOCKEY, that's his choice. It's frustrating enough, that he won't let me impliment the compromise at the NHL team rosters (concerning the birthplace names), but now this stuff about Quebec? Furthermoe (and not to pick on Dj), he's already stated (about 2 months ago), that he didn't care about the usage/non-usage of diacritics on Wikipedia - yet his actions betray his statement. GoodDay (talk) 23:42, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
TBH, I think the time is coming for a voluntary 'interaction ban' between myself & Djsasso. GoodDay (talk) 23:48, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For the love of god GoodDay...birthplace names again? The entire wikiproject including people who don't like diacritics have told you that there is a wiki wide practice of leaving them on place names unless there is an English translation... Why do you keep flogging a horse you know you are wrong about and numerous people have told you that you are wrong about. I don't care about diacritics, what I do care about are people who try and push uninformed POVs on articles when they have been told and shown they are wrong. You know..exactly the behaviour that caused your RFC/U. -DJSasso (talk) 00:13, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide me a link to this discussion that took place where GoodDay was advised of this? I will also ask you to refer to point three in my edit notice here and keep your comments in check. Thanks. Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 00:17, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That comment was civil. Being exasperated is not uncivil. As for links here is a two for one. Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Ice_Hockey/Archive32#Diacritics_-_again where it was discussed that the compromise doesn't apply to Quebec and I believe it also mentions birthplaces. If it doesn't here is a section where GoodDay himself says that birthplaces shouldn't have them. There are numerous other examples and ones that are probably better but being that he has brought this topic up alot at the hockey project I only took some of the first few that showed up in a search instead of looking through the many many other archives that have the subject discussed. -DJSasso (talk) 00:36, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I still don't see where there's an agreement to exempt Quebec based hockey pages from the compromise. What I did see - was myself & Djsasso arguing then over what we're arguing now. As for 'birthplaces' - did I have choice in the matter? what was the alternative? get into an edit war with you (Dj) & end up having one or both of us blocked? GoodDay (talk) 00:43, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Of course you see that...you bring it up like clockwork every few months...and each time people disagree with you...just like you do on the UK articles. And as you do on UK articles you claim you will step away from the subject and then you get right back into it bringing it back up again soon after. -DJSasso (talk) 00:48, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You're only trying to provoke me, on a topic you know we both hotly disagree on & likely always will disagree on. You shouldn't have followed me to HandsomFella's talkpage (or I shouldn't have taken your bait, there). It's very unfair of you (an Administrator, no less), to try & take advantage of my post-Rfc/U status. I'll have no further contact with you Djsasso. GoodDay (talk) 00:53, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
What article is the use of diacritics being discussed on at present? Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 00:57, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No particular page, a user is about to be topic banned for his battling on the same topic on ANI. GoodDay is just using it as another chance to bring the topic up again. -DJSasso (talk) 01:00, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I was offering clarification on the WP:HOCKEY compromise, to HansomeFella. GoodDay (talk) 01:03, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Djsasso's wrong. I wasn't using Dolovis' situation as a "chance to bring the topic up again". GoodDay (talk) 03:34, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I am not trying to provoke you GoodDay, I am trying to do the exact opposite, trying to get you to step away from a subject that gets you into trouble. -DJSasso (talk) 01:00, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Djsasso, I hold no grudge against you. It's not in my nature to 'shut out' editors, as it sorta stymies collaboration. GoodDay (talk) 07:53, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

RS?

[edit]

You might find this helpful. Nikkimaria (talk) 15:00, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It does explain your reasons, yeah. I really have very little in terms of proving it's a reliable source. One might say that the listed owner of the site (at the about page) who also does the reviews is an expert in the field, was a co-owner of Box Office Mojo until it merged with IMDB in 2008. The site has been cited as a reference in quite a few mainstream publications (through a raw google news search). It's probably not enough though. I'll see if I can find an alternate source for the information in LexisNexis, otherwise I might have to start a thread at RSN. Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 19:49, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I've got nothing. Couldn't find a source to replace the review of the soundtrack in the reception section, so I killed that, and I had to cut the release date from the other section. It now looks like this. Hopefully will find some soundtrack reviews in the other game reviews (eg ones that branch off metactitic.) Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 20:27, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe enough, but borderline. You might try posting at RSN and seeing what kind of response you get, if you're keen on including that info and can't find another source. Nikkimaria (talk) 04:40, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unexpected visitor

[edit]

I had an unexpected visit by an IP, at my talkpage. But, I think I handled it correctly. What's your opinon? GoodDay (talk) 06:59, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good. To be honest, I didn't read much of what they said. The first few sentences read like a rant and the rest was TL, so I DR it. Keep it up :) Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 10:25, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. GoodDay (talk) 15:59, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy Steven. Would you give me some advice on how to handle my current dispute with Djsasso? GoodDay (talk) 17:57, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Linky? It's just before 7am and my brain has gone to mush, the only antidote being a strong coffee, which I am yet to acquire :) Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 20:00, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It seems to have calmed down now. GoodDay (talk) 20:53, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

On a related note: I'm being harassed at my talkpage, by Djsasso. How should I handle this? GoodDay (talk) 17:04, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

On the contrary I am being harassed by you on your talk page. -DJSasso (talk) 17:05, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Now he's stalking me. GoodDay (talk) 17:06, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No I am defending myself from your constant harassment and attempts to bully me. -DJSasso (talk) 17:07, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Neither of you are acting great here. If you are going to post on his talk page then he can post on your. --Guerillero | My Talk 18:02, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I believe an 'interaction' ban should be placed between Djssaso & I - concerning the diacritics usage topic. GoodDay (talk) 18:58, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ya know something Steve, I think I will stay away from the ice hockey articles. I may mess up at times (and I'm working on fixing that), but I'm mature enough to admit it. Djsasso's harassment, stalking, naming calling etc etc, just isn't worth it. GoodDay (talk) 20:06, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Steven. We haven't met yet. If I was angry on GoodDay's talk page it was because I had a good reason. It's simply impossible to discuss with him or with his two friends. All three go from one article to another in their quest to get rid of what they regard as foreigner. They do nothing to help and their comments are offensive, when they are not simply openly lying. Here are a few diffs so that can have an idea:

Words by Walrasiad:

  1. "...there they go, triumphantly reversing all the monarch pages within minutes of your terrible decision. I am now going to have to reverse them all. Thanks a lot for messing things up" [1] (message written to The ed17, the administrator who made the move)
  2. "...I've heard your pátria is the língua portuguesa [I've heard that your fatherland is the Portuguese language; that is, the Wikipedia in Portuguese]. Wouldn't that be a natural place for you to be editing?" [2] (kind way he found say "get the hell out of Wikipedia" to Cristiano Tomás, the user who requested the move)
  3. "...flows much better, much clearer, than clumsy, ugly, low recognition Portuguese spellings." [3] (How he sees the Portuguese language)
  4. "...If this change is undertaken, I will not respect it, nor will I adhere to it, but will continue referring to Portuguese monarchs by their common anglicized names." [4] (if he wants "John VI", we have to accept it. But if others want "João VI", he won't accept it. Double standards. Why anyone should respect anything, then?)

Words by GoodDay:

  1. "...They should be in english, for english readers to understand. Afterall, English Wikipedia is for english readers." [5] (Foreigners should leave, in other words)
  2. "...When will we 'english only' speakers, get our language Wikipedia back?" ("We don't like your kind here", in other words) [6]
A correct reply by user bobrayner to GoodDay's comments: "I would remind GoodDay that although this is the "English Wikipedia", it covers foreign subjects too. Including, in this case, a Portuguese monarch." [7]

Words by SergeWoodzing:

  1. "...Most readers of English are not interested in language lessons forced upon them by people of other language cultures, just like most readers of Portuguese are not interested in language lessons forced upon them by people of other language cultures." [8] ("I don't like alien culture in my country", in other words)
  2. "...why not do a bit of work on all that and leave English [Wikipedia] alone for a while?" [9] (in other words: please, get out of my country, foreigner)
  3. "...I find them extremely offensive. STOP THAT MUD-SLINGING!" [10] (reply to when I complained that his words were xenophobic, see above)
  4. "...All the supporters of this diastrous name change should be investigated for canvassing and/or other non-ethical behavior. Looks pretty much like a group action to pollute the language intentionally. " [11] (others have no right to a contrary opinion, if they do, they must be punished)
  5. "...not to say I want to criticize Ed, who I'm sure acted in good faith (sadly, more than I can say about some of the others involved)." [12] (calling other editors dishonest simply because they voted in favor of the move)
  6. "...I have really wondered myself where all the mysterious support came from that led to this destructive move." [13] (what happened to good faith? Can we consider someone dishonest merely because he/she does not share your view?)
  7. "...on the part of the complainer's cronies and cohorts." [14](people who voted "support" are cronies and cohorts, according to him. See the diff)

Steven, the reason for all this was because of a recent move of the article João VI of Portugal. They started accusing us of being dishonesty, canvassing, etc... merely because... we supported the move. On the other hand, GoodDay went to Jimbo Walles's talk page and attempted to get from here a word of support. This is canvassing and is not allowed. Jimbo ignored him but agreed with what I said. Not that it really matter, but neither GoodDay, nor his friends attempted to discuss, to talk. They just accused, accused and accused. --Lecen (talk) 22:44, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, we haven't met yet. Hello there. I'm Steve :) Yes, I can see that is rather problematic. I hope you can understand that I am only one person, and I already have a lot on my plate (an FAC I am working on is starting to rot due to me not editing the page and a MedCab case I'm mediating also needs attention. Combined with a wife, a kid, and a job, I don't have a lot of free time to pour over contribution histories. It is a shame that it took an issue to explode in my face like this for people to point out issues to me. Did I know that the diacritics were an issue? Partly, yes, but I only have GoodDay and Djsasso on my watchlist. DBD and myself are working with GoodDay to get him to edit other areas, and he's agreed to not make modifications to diacritics. If something flares up, please let me know. Regards, Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 22:56, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much. I wish you good luck. Kind regards, --Lecen (talk) 23:02, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll do my best. I always do. I must say though, I have been called a lot of things, but being called "unfit" isn't one I am used to. Eh, can't please everyone. I've got thick skin. Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 23:06, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I forgot to say one last thing: you shouldn't worry that much with your FAC. Since the FAC is at the middle of a civil war (is there a better name to what's going on?), I don't expect anything to happen until it's finished (who shaw win? The Union or the Confederacy?). Cheers, --Lecen (talk) 23:16, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Civil war? Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 23:18, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Aren't you following the fight? Check FAC's talk page and the ANI. They are killing themselves there. --Lecen (talk) 23:47, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it's on my watchlist, but I haven't been paying attention, no. This is my first FAC, I'm new to the process. I try to be sans-drama. Though it sometimes doesn't turn out that way, does it? Ha. Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 23:52, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy Steve. I do edit alot of monarchial articles, which includes RMs on those articles. I will 'of course' try to control my temper, even when I'm being faced with accusations of 'xenophobia & prejudices'. GoodDay (talk) 09:01, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Eh, the best advice I could offer you for the time being is to work on something else. For a few months I was pretty much doing nothing except quasi-admin work (in September only 5% of my edits were in the mainspace) so I've taken a break from that to get back to article content. It's not easy though. I've observed that a few users have commented that you do very little content work, and it does serve as a great leveller, so perhaps let's work on a few M*A*S*H articles for now and down the track we can explore other things? Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 09:06, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In other words (rightly or wrongly), I got alot of arrows pointing at me. I reckon you're right. GoodDay (talk) 09:14, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ya know, thats the sort of remark one wouldn't make if they used Stop, Think, Do. You gotta think about how people will interpret it. Arrows? No. Magnifying glasses. Yes. Hence my suggestion. Go use those tools I gave you, eh? Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 09:51, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hahaha. I wasn't speaking of you, Steve. GoodDay (talk) 10:07, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I realised that. (On that note, I'm not a shield either). I was referring to others. People aren't out to get you (arrows) but are watching you closely (magnifying glass), thus, you need to do work elsewhere (like M*A*S*H) so they see no reason to anymore. Makes sense? Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 19:54, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, makes sense. GoodDay (talk) 20:35, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Innapropriate edit?

[edit]

While in another ongoing dispute at DR/N, User:Darkness Shines has taken it upon himself to return content from the OWS dispute. I don't know how these things work, but left a note asking him to self revert and weigh in on the discussion. At this point I am not sure that was appropriate and looks agrresive to me as interferring with an ongoing dispute, while in a dispute himself? Am I wrong or is this an innapropriate action?--Amadscientist (talk) 21:52, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can you provide me a link to the edit they made please, and I'll take a look. Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 22:30, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
[15]. I also started an ANI on this, but if you feel this should be handled strictly through DR mediation I can strike that report out and let you handle this in the manner you feel is appropriate if any such action is necessary.--Amadscientist (talk) 22:48, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, DRN is for the resolution of content disputes. In fact, the reason I created DRN was to shift content disputes away from ANI :-). It might be best to close off the discussion at ANI, I'll see what I can do on my tea break (in 10 minutes). Regards, Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 23:07, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Selina's unblock request

[edit]

Steve, if you look at Selina's answer to WereSpielChequers questions on her talk page [16] I think that will explain what happened with regard to this supposed canvassing.

Keep in mind that WP:CANVASS did not even exist (created October 2006) when this user left Wikipedia (April 2006) (in a twisted way, it's a testament to the fact that she, unlike your typical banned user, didn't sock puppet in the meantime and hence is now a bit clueless about WP policies). Given that, the fact that she emailed a bunch of people to bring their attention to her request is pretty innocent. Particularly since she emailed all sorts of editors - I think basically just people who she saw were "around" the topic/discussion (I didn't get mine till after I posted) - including, very obviously, ones which would and did turn out to very strongly oppose her (like this Elkman person). If the canvassing thing is your only concern then I think that can be addressed with mentorship. I hope that addresses your concern in regard to this matter and will lead you to change your statement (if I wasn't trying to influence you, I wouldn't bother to post here, ey?).

Already did. Initially I didn't realise that their block was over five years ago. I do think mentorship may be something that should be considered, but who would take them on? (Also, did you notice that the Holodomor MedCab case has been closed?) Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 00:30, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I noticed. I guess it died a natural death. Though those things are like zombies. They ALWAYS come back.VolunteerMarek 18:56, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I noticed that you closed the AfD as keep. However, you seem to have closed it before anyone responded to my final comment, which was that it's not obvious that the Ogoniok article does not ensure that the article passes GNG. Could you clarify your views on this? SPat talk 05:27, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Of course. I'll have to do it in half an hour (I am currently at work and am unable to access anything except essential websites, which excludes Google, but includes Wikipedia. Awesome). Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 05:33, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, sorry about the delay in replying. My rationale for the close as keep, is because the main argument you made at the debate was that the article did not meet the general notability guidelines. The other users who commented felt that these two sources (1 2) meant that the article does meet the GNG, specifically, significant coverage in reliable sources. It's only two articles, but the coverage in them is extensive. It's a borderline one, but with no other dissenters (those favouring deletion) closing as keep seemed the way to go. I hope this answers your questions, if not, feel free to let me know. Regards, Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 10:18, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

All right, Steve. Do you still want to try? Rumiton (talk) 13:51, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, why not. Y'all know where I hang out. I'm keeping an eye on the talk page and will let my fellow co-ordinators know, but at this stage it doesn't need intervention I think. Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 22:25, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I think I have reached an impasse. We have two editors who post literally nothing but insults towards the article subject and towards me, and a third who repeats them in a provocative way to make sure no change is made to the article. My comments are getting misquoted, then ignored, then requested again. Would you like diffs? The stated intention of this mini-cabal is to prevent new material which might "overshadow" the old stuff from the 70's from entering the article, and I believe that as they are unable to refute my new sources, they are stalling and obstructing now, hoping I will go away. Comments?
Sinking of the Titanic has attracted a swarm of editors with suggestions, most of them good, for improvements for the FAC. Busy time ahead! Rumiton (talk) 04:09, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, if things are as you describe than that does seem problematic. Would you mind posting a few diffs for me? Been crazy busy today and I had to clean install Lion on my Mac..that was a pain in the ass. But all seems good now. I'll keep an eye on the Titanic page and chip in over the next few days. Cheers. Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 10:05, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, diffs coming up. Are you prepared for some long hours and hard thinking? That might be what it takes.
Thanks re Titanic. It might be helpful if you introduce yourself to Prioryman; he is fielding the suggestions and has done the bulk of the work to the article. He is very open to good copyediting, but I feel I have looked so long and hard at it now that I have gone a bit stale. Tx again. Rumiton (talk) 10:20, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
To be blatantly honest, I'm bored. It's been a while since I've had a dispute with much meat to dig into. Most are pretty easy to solve. Argh, the curses of being a tenured mediator :p. All my projects are either in place or under development, but a good mediator keeps their skills honed. I'll give Prioryman a poke at some point tomorrow. Off to bed now. Important conference call tomorrow morning ;-) Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 10:35, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unboringness coming up. And that's funny, I have a big conference call tomorrow morning, too. I wonder if...naah. Rumiton (talk) 12:03, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Momento just came back and is helping address some of these issues. I will keep you informed. Rumiton (talk) 13:00, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm keeping my eye on the talk page. Regards, Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 04:03, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like [17] Will Beback has now been indefinitely banned from Wikipedia, and as he was the main one putting impossible restrictions on new sources for Prem Rawat things might get a bit easier there. But please keep watching the talk page. On a happier note, Sinking of the RMS Titanic has today made it to Featured Article. Thank you for your help. It will hopefully become today's featured article on 15 April, the 100th anniversary. Rumiton (talk) 12:20, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Clerk"?

[edit]

From this edit, what do you mean by "clerk" in this context? Is it any different from a regular editor's comment? Axl ¤ [Talk] 15:34, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I seem to have picked up TransporterMan's bad habit to add that note before my comment. It's apparently used to diffentiate one's comments from other users (to note that they're uninvolved) but it's generally unnecessary. Feel free to look at me with a puzzled look, I won't mind :-) Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 22:28, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy. I'm dipping my toe into this article, with the understanding that there's an editor there, whom I don't get along with. Just wondering, if you'd review my question on that articles talkpage, aswell as the revert I'm referring to. GoodDay (talk) 17:04, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To me, your edit seems fine. England and Wales falls under the bracket of the UK, so putting it in the infobox how you did looks fine. I can't see any revert though. Just make sure you discuss things on the talk page in a calm, civilized way and you'll be fine. If issues arise you know where I am. Regards, Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 19:35, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'll keep you informed. GoodDay (talk) 20:09, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
GRRR, dam passer-by IPs. GoodDay (talk) 21:58, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm? Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 21:59, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
A passer-by IP, reverted my change to that article infobox, without any explanation. GoodDay (talk) 22:01, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. I see you undid their edit. If it happens again, let me know. Either way, ensure you discuss it with them on their talk page, even an IP. I've added the page to my watchlist and will keep an eye on it, but remember, discussion is key. Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 22:15, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. GoodDay (talk) 22:26, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to do the safer thing & walk away from that article, because already, I seem to be facing hostility there & at my talkpage. One can understand why I had past frustrations on those articles. GoodDay (talk) 15:29, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. Take note of my revert here. Remember, be mindful of what you say. Sometimes, a cluebat is necessary, so I may whack you with one from time to time :-)Steven Crossin Join the DR army! 01:09, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Giggle Giggle, Ok. GoodDay (talk) 01:24, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
