South Wales Valleys
South Wales Valleys Has been vandalized by This user after you gave him a final warning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnaJGrant (talk • contribs) 11:48, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Done The user has already been blocked. Steve Crossin (talk to me) 13:41, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Your recent warning using WP:HUG
I guess it's a bug in the program, but you warned for the revert. Enigma message 20:11, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Done. I noticed that, and I undid the warning, and apologised to him [1]. Seems it may be a bug, but its 500 times better than the other versions of Huggle. Cheers, Steve Crossin (talk to me) 20:14, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- (ec)This is the second time I've seen this happen with Huggle. Whitelisted users should not be getting reverted or warned. I saw this once before, but it was happening with a specific individual and was not a widespread problem. Enigma message 20:15, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Version 0.73 was an absolute disgrace (Sorry Gurch, but it was). The whitelist didn't work at all, and every users edit was shown, so, a user who is making valid edits could be reverted by accident. Steve Crossin (talk to me) 20:18, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism
Hi, you recently reverting this edit and wrote a message on my talk page saying it was vandalism. What gives? Krawndawg (talk) 20:38, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
What is this like the Mob?
What the bloody hell is your problem? I report a problem and you say I am a vandal? Do you want blaggers to get away with it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Battersea Bosco (talk • contribs) 01:49, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
This edit [2] looked like spam- text copied and pasted multiple times. I saw it in Huggle, but it doesn't appear to be spam, after looking at the text version. So sorry about that. Steve Crossin (talk to me) 01:54, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Dreadfully sorry for the wee bit of rage, but we were quite unhappy with some bloody blaggers who take things from other people. Both those articles should be deleted since they contain stolen proprietary information, some from the ALPCA archives. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Battersea Bosco (talk • contribs) 02:04, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
I've alerted an admin, and they are resolving the problem now. They said you will have to rebuild the article though. Don't worry about the rage, I'm used to it ;) Cheers, Steve Crossin (talk to me) 02:12, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Rivers page
Cmon dude, take that Hillcrest crap off there. Cant you tell that is vandalism? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.6.182.40 (talk) 05:31, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Why revert?
Is there something I'm missing? Why not have a category redirect? -Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 07:11, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
No, you're right. I reverted the edit after I realised I made a mistake. If I didn't revert it (I think I did), then feel free to undo my edit. So sorry about that. :( Steve Crossin (talk to me) 07:13, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- I see All's well then. -Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 07:19, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
I thought you were on
LOL slow down Steve, you beating me to 40% of the vandal reverts
Man i like revert toolz, there really helpful lol Prom3th3an (talk) 07:49, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Smile at others by adding {{subst:Smile}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
- Error. Command slow down does not compute into brain. :P Hehe, I can't slow down. It's just the way I am. :D Am I that fast? Hehe. Where is DerHexer? Steve Crossin (talk to me) 07:52, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- lol, oh is it like that...in the mood for a race hey? well eat my dust :) Prom3th3an (talk) 07:56, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'll take AndonicO + Enigmaman over you two. Need for speed. So there! Enigma msg Review 07:59, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- EEK. Too many bullets :P. I'm faster than you Enigmaman. I pwn you. Prom3th3an, sure, I like races. :D Steve Crossin (talk to me) 08:01, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's like an NRA convention. But I'm faster than fast. I once got in trouble for a revert not because it was wrong, but because I did it too quickly! But seriously, speed doesn't actually help in terms of not getting beaten to a revert. Even if you hit Q or revert + warn immediately, you can still get beaten. Enigma msg Review 08:04, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Lets talk more reverts lol , i'm winning i'm winning i thinks :) Prom3th3an (talk) 08:06, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Answered in medcab
I answered the first question in MedCab. It was short and sweet as it should be. You can read my answer there, but I essentially said that what your view is, is also my view.--Lan Di (talk) 12:49, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Okay, great, thanks for that. I think I'll start sourcing the information for some of the characters using the {{cite episode}} template. And these articles need serious cutting down of the plot info, there's just far too much of it. Don't you think so? I'm a 24 fan as well, but a whole article on what they did is a bit extreme. Needs to be more similar to Nadia Yassir Steve Crossin (talk to me) 12:56, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I absolutely agree with you. If I knew how to I would nominate Nadia Yassir for a GA nomination, but I don't know, so I can't. However, I do also believe some plot needs to be in an article to articulate the development of the character and explain them.--Lan Di (talk) 15:49, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey
Steve,i am not trying to violate this page, but the names you are using, are not acceptable by united nation, and these terms are insults and disrespect for my country...the name FYROM is recognized by united nations,so i will edit it again to change the "Republic Of Macedonia"name that promotes hate and violence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ntou7 (talk • contribs) 12:47, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Edits to The Great Brain
Sir, I have noticed some small but misleading details in The Great Brain article, which I am deleting. I have not been yet able to find their source - when I do I will revert it if it continues to occur. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.122.190.252 (talk • contribs)

How was that talk thing unconstructive, all I did was ask if anyone knew where I could get information on the guy for my project.--xgmx (T | C | D | R) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.245.73.222 (talk) 14:34, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Re King Street
Steve,
Sorry if my edit caused you any hassles. I speak as a well travelled 50 year old male and I am quite certain that the correct term for the King Street strip bar/nightclubs/sleazeshops/whatever is "titty bar". I am not just taking a North American perspective here, I live in Melbourne but I have been all over this tiny planet. I also think the description is more useful for overseas visitors who are out for that sort of thing - I speak from (sad) experience.
I applaude you for checking vandalism on Wiki, it well worth while and and appreciated.
Peter —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.244.218.199 (talk) 14:41, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Okay then. fair enough. I would strongly encourage you to find a source that states that, as unfortunately, Wikipedia has a policy of no original research, no matter how experienced we may be. I hope you understand the reason I reverted, seeing "titty bar" looked to be vandalism, we get that sort of vandalism all the time. Thanks for understanding :) Steve Crossin (talk to me) 14:47, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
My talk
Look at the response on my page, tell me what you think. Also, be careful on your reverts, I had to add back some stuff because your revert deleted part of a response.--Lan Di (talk) 15:11, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
AIV
Further to my recent AIV activity could I have some comments from you about the "incorrectly or insufficiently warned" user that I reported. As the user had multiple (as in over 4)warnings in the space of three days I'm wondering what the proper amount is. Is it just a case of people using the wrong templates that made it not qualify for reporting to AIV? What specifically did I do wrong so that I don't repeat the error again? Jasynnash2 (talk) 15:13, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Dieppe Raid talk page
I was curious as to why you removed/reverted a user's comments on a talk page[3]. This one as well [4]. Granted he may be an anonymous user, but he still gets to participate in disucsions. --Cyrus Andiron 17:15, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
84.234.60.154
Hi Steve - the above IP pointed out that you've been reverting his edits without explanation ([5][6][7][8]). Is he a banned user or something? Sarcasticidealist (talk) 17:15, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- At the time, Huggle was showing him as a reported user, as they had been reported to AIV [9]. So, as such, I automatically reverted their edits that I saw. It wasn't a targeting of their edits, just a natural reaction to reported users, as a large percentage of reported users edits are just further vandalism. I will go to their talk page and apologise to them, thanks for notifying me. Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 17:21, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Good to see resolution! --Cyrus Andiron 17:34, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- You shouldn't be blanket reverting reported users, not all reports are valid and not all vandals make only vandal edits. Those tools are useful but they are only tools. I think you've learned that but I was concerned to see you say that it was just a natural reaction to reported users. Cheers. --Doug.(talk • contribs) 05:33, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Doug, I've been told about this. I also have apologised to the user here, and I will keep in mind to check all reported users edits before reverting them. I personally have the thought that if I screw up, I have to fess up and apologise for it. Thanks a lot mate. Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 05:40, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw that you did (I actually came at this from that IP's talk page as I have it watchlisted - don't recall exactly why). I think the apologies are admirable - can't bring themselves to do that. I just wanted to emphasize the importance of being careful, that's all. Keep up the good work.--Doug.(talk • contribs) 05:50, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I'll be more sure I'm careful in future. Anyone I've ever made a mistake against, I've made an effort to apologise too. When we mess up, we have to fess up. Denying responsibility isnt't the right way to do things, we have to admit to our mistakes. Thats my opinion anyway. Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 06:01, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Distance
[10] aren't you happy your 10,000 miles away from a U.S. courthouse? :) MBisanz talk 18:19, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Totally. Some people really are good at ranting and raving. Just out of interest, which IP was it that you "violated their constitutional right to free speech"? Oh, don't know if you noticed, but my talk page has been semi protected for a week. Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 18:33, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- It would be 216.229.227.141 who left this one that got his page protected. Their both IPs that resolve to Southern Adventist University, so I'm assuming its a rather disgruntled student. I think the hint that I might file an abuse report (and what I'm sure his school would do to him) has scared him off. Interestingly, in the last 2 months I have grown a full beard... MBisanz talk 18:38, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sure it did scare them off. Hmm, seems you're a clown of sorts. Hey, can I speak you on MSN? Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 18:43, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- eh, things are picking up here at work. Can it wait a bit? MBisanz talk 18:52, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, it can wait, I just wanted to talk to you about my admin coaching, that's all. Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 18:53, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Medcab
Yea, where have you been? :) This medcab is currently on the article talk page. Its made what I'd call pretty good progress. Please do jump in though! MBisanz talk 19:52, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Just this section Talk:Second_Intifada#Mediation and 1-3 on User:MBisanz/MEDCAB-P. Its not that long, just copy to Word and print if you need to, or copy to a sandbox page. MBisanz talk 19:56, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
Page protection
I'm sorry to be a bugaboo, but I noticed your page is protected and where you've had some issues with reverting, especially of anons, I took a look at the page history but didn't see any recent vandalism, can you point it out?--Doug.(talk • contribs) 05:50, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Here, in between 1.49 and 2.19 This has happened a lot, been targeted for vandalism a lot, an admin protected it for a week. It's been semi protected like 5 times before. I asked for semi-protection. Additionally, I've created an anon talk page, and theres a link to it in my signature. I know you're an admin, but I'd ask you politely to not remove the protection, or if you really feel it necessary, to please tell me why. Cheers, Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 05:59, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not going to unprotect hastily and I'm not leaning towards it - and I'd certainly explain it - I just want to understand the situation, again sorry to give you grief on this. Thanks for pointing out your anon talk page, I didn't notice it, I don't pay much attention to signatures. I'm afraid I didn't understand between 1.49 and 2.19 though, maybe I'm dense or maybe it's just 0211 local time, but help me out on that one. :-)--Doug.(talk • contribs) 06:18, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Sure, start here and work your way forward. Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 06:25, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Gracias!
Thanks for putting an end to "Night of the Living Socks!" I really appreciate it. Between RBIing him and trying to file the reports to get him to stop, I can't get any work done around here. Thanks again! Redrocket (talk) 06:49, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- It was no problem, I saw your page on my watchlist and their page with a SSP notice, and I notified an admin. One day, I might be able to do it myself, but for now, I'll just help out any way I can. Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 06:52, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Since the header is already named "Thanks", I might as well put it here. Thank'ee for reverting that B.S. on my talk page. I'd give you a RickK star, but I already have, so...

Adminship
- Do you mind if I nominate you for sysopship? Nothing444 15:38, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Um, actually I'd have to decline it. I'm just not ready for adminship yet. Thanks a lot for your support though. But I've indicated that I'll wait till my admin coach nominates me for adminship. But at this present time, I'd fail at the moment. Due to article writing, thanks again for your offer, but I have to decline at this time. Cheers, Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 15:45, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- Then can I co-nominate you once your admin coach does? Nothing444 15:48, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- You could if you wanted to, that would make my co-noms up to 3, two others have indicated they would co-nom me. Which is OK, but too many co-noms might make me look bad. They might ask "why are so many co-noms necessary"? Well, I was just wondering, how do you know me on Wikipedia? I don't think you have ever messaged me before. The current general opinion of me, on IRC, is that I'd fail in between 50-65%, due to my account age and lack of GA/FAs. I see their point, but I'm not just a vandal fighter. Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 15:55, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
- I've been secretly checking your contribs. P.S. If you want to indent, then put : in front of your message. Nothing444
- Yeah, I'm very good at WikiMarkup. I just prefer bullets myself. Checking my contributions, eh? :P Steve Crossin (talk) (anon talk) 16:06, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

24 Project What are your thoughts on the project? Are you still interested in it? And would you help revive it?
Hey Steve! The Project seems great and it is something I am very interested in. I would enjoy contributing greatly. My hours on Wikipedia are few yet I'll find a way to get it in. Also, what tasks would you need me to do at this moment to help "revive" the project? Thanks !DarkZorro 22:36, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

- I too am still interested in the project. I'll help out more if I can though at the moment you've caught me in bit of a tricky time. I'm going to go on Wikibreak. Shouldn't be too long but I definitely won't be able to edit a whole lot this month. May onward should be fine though. -WarthogDemon 03:25, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
