Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ffta-bangaa-bishop.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ffta-bangaa-bishop.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Angelcup01.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit]

I actually had nothing to do with the addition of graphics to this article, and I generally don't dabble in graphics on Wikipedia as I'm liable to screw up and upload something we can't actually use. :D If you think there are problems with images in the article, by all means, remove or correct them - I defer entirely to you since, unlike me, you seem to have some idea about these things. -RaCha'ar 02:41, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help with the article. Was unsure how to manage the characters section. Currently the article is a far cry from when I adopted it but I was sorta unsure about what to do at this point. Thanks for the update and reformat goes a long way to improving the article. Crying shame that the manwha articles are so lacking compared to their manga counterparts. Ariolander 10:20, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well added Aradorn profile pic from vol 4. Pretty bad quality. I like the profile pics but an idea might be to standardize the thumnail sizes or at least the widths (150 or 200 px maybe?) and make the character info long enough so that the thumbnail doesn't cut into the next char's profile if it is aligned left. What do you think? If they are prominant enough to get a cover appearance then they are important enough for a fair use image no?
BTW check out the Fair Use Rationale on my image. Thats a bit more suitable. Ariolander 21:56, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FFTA Jobs

[edit]

It was absolutely not me and I'm pretty irritated that it was redirected without so much as a "by your leave" to the creator of the article, without any attempt at starting a discussion whatsoever. I've already said my piece at the WPFF talk page. I have not been active in the Wikiproject lately because I'm really not happy with the way things are being run - but it looks like there's no stopping it now. If you have any opinions about it either way, I'd appreciate some backup at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Final_Fantasy#List of jobs in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I appreciate very much your bringing this to my attention. -RaCha'ar 03:26, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for the work you're doing at the Jobs page. I'll be trying to dabble with it tonight after I get out of work, though I'm pretty sure we're both fighting a losing battle. -RaCha'ar 18:38, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jobs

[edit]

A series of mini discussions occured last month, generally leaning toward a redirect (it's a case where improvement is obsolete, since the topic of the article historically cannot hold up). Several editors are planning to work on the Tactics Advance article for Good Article status, which will mean significant reduction of the gameplay section; however, a paragraph on the unique jobs might fly with most users. — Deckiller 01:21, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Yureka_roto.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Yureka_roto.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 15:04, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello ShiraShira! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:58, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
