Speedy deletion nomination of Vinay Maurya
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Vinay Maurya, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about something made up, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Some important site policies and guidelines, and the reasons the article you posted was deleted
[edit]- It is recommended that you do not add anything relating to yourself to article space, and it is expressly forbidden to use Wikipedia to promote anything about yourself.
- Noone owns any article here, or even their edits to articles. At the top of the edit page, it says "Work submitted to Wikipedia can be edited, used, and redistributed—by anyone," which means that if you don't want someone to change or even remove what you add, then you need to use another site.
- "Truth" is not the only criteria for inclusion, verifiability is also required.
- Always cite a source for any new information. When adding this information to articles, use <ref>reference tags like this</ref>, containing the name of the source, the author, page number, publisher or web address (if applicable).
- We do not publish original thought nor original research. We're not a blog, we are not a social media site, we are not a resume/CV hosting site.
- A subject is considered notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject.
- Reliable sources typically include: articles from mainstream magazines or newspapers (particularly scholarly journals), or books by recognized authors (basically, books by respected publishers). Online versions of these are usually accepted, provided they're held to the same standards. User generated sources (like Wikipedia) are to be avoided. Self-published sources should be avoided except for information by and about the subject that is not self-serving (for example, citing a company's website to establish something like year of establishment).
The reasons the article you created has been deleted:
- you are not supposed to write about yourself
- article subjects have to be notable (as proven by unaffiliated reliable sources)
- your page was not encyclopedic
- we don't do "personal pages." The closest that we have to those are user pages, but those are for users who are here to help the encyclopedia identify themselves to other users -- they are not a place to post your resume/CV, or get around our rules for articles

Blocked
[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Ian.thomson (talk) 11:03, 7 April 2017 (UTC)- Like I said earlier, user pages are for users who are here to help the site. You have done nothing but try to make an article about yourself, after multiple people told you that that is not what this site is for. If you promise to never try to write about yourself, Infoseek, or anyone with the name A. K. Singh, you might be unblocked.
- Oh, I see that you even created another account (or maybe got a friend to create an account) to try to make it look like someone else was creating the Vinay Maurya article -- User:Aksingh786. We do not trust people who do that sort of thing. If Aksingh786 is a friend of yours and not you, then it's the same deal: they have to promise to never write about you, anyone with the name A. K. Singh, or Infoseek.
- If a third "new" user shows up to try and write about you or Infoseek, I will block all three accounts. Ian.thomson (talk) 11:03, 7 April 2017 (UTC)

- It's interesting you figured out how to do that even though there are no instructions for it on this page. The two simplest conclusions are that either:
- You are capable of investigating and understanding our policies and guidelines (which raises serious concerns about how you've pretty much ignored everything that everyone's said).
- You have been blocked before under a different account.
