I don't think one move by anon merits any concern. Nice job working on the article, you may want to ask on WT:POLAND for a B-class review! Afterward, consider WP:GAN. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 16:48, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Invitation to take part in a study
I am a Wikipedian, who is studying the phenomenon on Wikipedia. I need your help to conduct my research on about understanding "Motivation of Wikipedia contributors." I would like to invite you to Main Study. Please give me your valuable time, which estimates about 20 minutes. I chose you as a English Wikipedia user who made edits recently through the RecentChange page. Refer to the first page in the online survey form for more information on the study and me.cooldenny (talk) 01:21, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Mentor
It is very kind of you to be willing to adopt me. Does the fact English is not my maternal language pose a problem to you? Lotje ツ (talk) 08:57, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think that will be a problem. I teach many students who are English Language Learners, and if you are ever unclear about something, please just ask. (And I'll do the same, heh.) I'll go ahead and add you on my page.
- You should remove the "adoptme" userbox on your page and replace it with {{Adoptee|Scartol}}. Let me know when you've done this and we can move on to the next step. Cheers! Scartol • Tok 11:16, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Collaboration
Hi. Thanks for responding to my adoption request on my talk page. I was mostly requesting the collaboration of someone more senior than myself so that I could ask questions for problems that do not seem self-evident due to the way that Wikipedia is organized. If you are volunteering your support, then I appreciate that.Ferox Seneca (talk) 20:46, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, that's fine. You should remove the "adoptme" userbox on your page and replace it with {{Adoptee|Scartol}}. Then feel free to ask away! Scartol • Tok 21:28, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Done and done. Right now my most serious issues are related to the process of uploading and coding images into articles: the process looks (intentionally?) complicated. I'll probably get back to you the next time that I have the time to work on that...
- I do have a lingering question about the process of promoting articles to GA status. I'm not there yet, but I have a long-term goal of improving some articles to this status. Do I need to refer such articles to a committee or authority of some sort? If not, is there a formal process that I should take note of in order to promote such articles?Ferox Seneca (talk) 22:11, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Pictures can be tricky at first, but once you embed a few, you'll get the hang of it quickly. Make sure you read Help:Visual file markup. As for GA: First, read Wikipedia:Good article criteria, then browse a bit at Wikipedia:Good article nominations, to get a feel for how the process works. The GA process is certainly less formal than the WP:FAC process (for Featured Articles), but it's definitely not something you just toss up and hope it sticks. If you'll forgive the self-reference, it might be helpful for you to compare the article I wrote about Balzac's novel Les Chouans (GA) with the one for La Peau de chagrin (FA). This may give you some frame of reference.
- As always, if you have other questions, please ask. The more feedback you give on what you do and don't understand, the more I can help. The only dumb question is the one you leave unasked. Cheers! Scartol • Tok 03:45, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

- ... and thank you for the link to the panel discussion about Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention. I have the book, but I haven't had time to read more than the first chapter. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 18:15, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'll be interested to hear your thoughts when you've had time to get into it. Alas, the world lost a great resource when Mr. Marable passed. Scartol • Tok 00:51, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for the review of List of National Treasures of Japan (writings: others). We had another go at the prose as suggested. I'd appreciate if you could have another look at the article when you have time and leave your comments here. bamse (talk) 22:24, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
