Betrinac

[edit]

Hi, Sam. I am glad you have come to Wikipedia. This is a very informative article with great potential; one that should now stay without a lot of problems. A couple of small points: 1)You should keep your citations in a uniform style. I have taken care of that for you and run the "Reflinks" tool on them to make them more readable. 2)The manual of style should have a basic layout for an article on a drug. You should check for that and try to format the article in that style. If there isn't one in the manual, you'd be well served by checking out a few existing drug articles and trying to copy their style. Why? When you pick up the good old Encyclopedia Britannica, you'll notice that articles on similar subjects look similar. It allows the reader to be able to quickly locate the particular information they are looking for without having to necessarily read the whole article.

I think taking out the hyperlinks to the drug's website and the two companies websites made the piece look a lot less promotional. The information is still there, but with it buried in the reference section, the article looks much less like you are trying to promote it.

Also, you seem to know quite a bit about this subject. If you are connected to the company that owns the patent, Wikipedia policy requires you to disclose this. You should read WP:COI and if you feel it is applicable, place the {{Connected contributor}} template on the articles talk page. Great work, Sam. You worked with the process rather than fighting it. It is refreshing. If I can ever be of assistance, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Gtwfan52 (talk) 07:17, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It appears this article is not doing too well at AfD. You can view the discussion here. You can weigh in with your opinion, but just that you think it is good is not worthy of inclusion in arguments there. You will need to find and quote Wikipolicy as to why it should stay. You have two references from reliable sources (BBC and The Daily Mail). You could argue that make it notable. And, just so you understand, it is ALREADY "published", if you will. The discussion is whether to delete it. It would help if there were some mention of the research into vitamin therapy at either Alzheimer's disease or Dementia that were wikilinked back to this article, but you will have to be very brief and have complete reliable references for whatever you put into those articles. Hope that helps. Gtwfan52 (talk) 03:19, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
