hey groovy man

See the Dragon Ball attack list on its talk page. I've placed a valuable reason so that even you can agree with me. Power level (Dragon Ball) 21:07, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Good job, man--SUIT-n-tie 05:51, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
One other thing, you added some info awhile back to Android #8 in September. I just want to clarify something with you: When, where and in what was it mentioned in that he was a fictional cyborg? I know he's based off Frankenstein's monster (and a character from Toriyama's earlier manga, Dr. Slump) but where was it said that he was a cyborg? Was it in a Daizenshu or something? Power level (Dragon Ball) 14:19, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
He was a human who had cybernetic implants put in. I've heard that somewhere. But I don't remember adding it to the article, Regards--SUIT-n-tie 21:42, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
That sounds like original research to me. Let me see if I can confirm that on an official Dragon Ball website. Be right back... Power level (Dragon Ball) 04:10, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I couldn't find anything official on the net about Android #8 being a human who was genetically engineered. But my Portuguese translated manga (had to resort to it cause I didn't buy the rest of the VIZ English manga yet) confirms that he was created by the Red Ribbon Army, as stated by the ninja guy, Agent Murasaki. I have the FUNimation DVD of the RRA Saga and it also confirms that he was created by the Red Ribbon Army (this was also according to Sergeant Murasakis statements in the Japanese audio of the episode with English subtitles). I would show you an image scan of the anime, but my windows computer is too old to print screens. I say that category goes, any thoughts before I remove it? He's no different than Android #19, a pure fictional robotic character with a super-power. You know me... Back in the Day 05:24, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm sending a photographer to the Annie Awards this Sunday, on behalf of Wikinews. I'm giving the photographer a sheet of people to lookout for, including John Lasseter, Bill Plympton, Genndy Tartakovsky, Andreas Deja, and a bunch of voice actors. Anyone on the nominee list that you ID as being really important to get a pic of? -- Zanimum 22:05, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject The Beatles Newsletter, Issue 10, February 2007

WikiProject The Beatles Newsletter
Issue 010 – February 2007

Beatles News
  • George Harrison's handwritten lyrics to the song While My Guitar Gently Weeps have fetched $300,000 (£152,552) in a Scottsdale (Arizona, United States) memorabilia auction (15 January). It contained lines omitted from the final version of the song. Specifically :
I look from the wings at the play you are staging
While my guitar gently weeps
As I'm sitting here doing nothing but aging
Still my guitar gently weeps

On the reverse of the page appears the lyrics to Hey Jude in the hand of Mal Evans.

Project News
  • The Project lead article (The Beatles, for those not paying attention) has had its Good Article status reviewed, and the consensus was 'keep'. The efforts of User:Andreasegde in supplying the requested citations, and other editors in helping with general editing, and the strength of arguments for retaining the grade sufficiently impressed the reviewers.
  • After a great deal of work Paul McCartney was promoted as a Featured Article candidate. Unfortunately it failed to succeed. Among other comments, including the correct length of dash (or hyphen), from reviewers was that the article was too long and also that it needed further information included in some of the sections(!?) The promotor, and driving force behind the insertion of a great many references, citations and facts (and the remover of unwanted text, and splitter of information into daughter articles), Andreasegde vigorously argued the case for promotion but was unsuccessful.
  • Mimi Smith was successfully nominated for WP:Good article status. The major editor to whom accolades should be directed is... Andreasegde.
The Beatles' Influence on Recording Music by Apepper and Wings 1973 UK Tour by Danthemankhan.
  • The hottest Project page this month was possibly, despite the Article Status related issues regarding both The Beatles and Paul McCartney mentioned above, the third attempt to delete The Beatles trivia in less than a year. As was the case for the second attempt at AfD the result, after an energetic discourse, was keep but with a suggestion that the article be retitled to reduce the incidence of deletion requests. Editors are invited to discuss possible new titles, and/or the need for same, at Talk:The Beatles trivia.
  • Other Project news - Lar did a bit of a purge of the subscription list during last month's newsletter delivery. Some folks were kept (and are at the active list), some who clearly are not active on wikipedia at all were removed with a "you've been removed" message left (and are at the inactive list), and some folks who were less active but not as clearly completely inactive were given a "this may be your last newsletter" message (and are at the possibly inactive list). A more nuanced subscription list is now here (in several subpages as outlined above), and anyone who wants to tweak their status (moving one's self back is a clear cut sign that we should deliver the newsletter to you!) should feel free. Please respect the rather spartan formatting though, this list is used by WP:AWB currently, and may be used by other automation in future.
Issue of the Month

Hottest issue or concern for this month is the perennial matter of Project articles losing their Good or Featured Article status. The main Project page now includes a status board that gives the current ratings of some of the more important articles. Let's make sure the core articles (The Beatles, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) reach or retain Good Article status, if not Featured Article. If you are aware of another major article whose status is at risk, add it to the board.

Issue of last Month

Since there has been no response in the matter of the use of lowercase for the initial letter of the when applied with Beatles from the opponents, it is likely that the case for using lowercase only will be adopted as Project policy by default. User:LessHeard vanU will draw up a recommendation and submit it to the Policy talkpage in a few days.

From the Editors

We are pleased to welcome the contributions of Alexcalamaro to this newsletter. Any editor can include an item of interest or news; this medium can be an excellent tool for getting a comment seen by a great number of project members. As it says below, this is your newsletter.

If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy!

Member News

Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue (Issue 011 – March 2007). Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned, or just start editing!

Hi Suit, I'm back. Thanks for helping me revert the obsessed Zarbon toy users. What can you make of this 219.88.183.189, 198.202.20.182, and now all of a sudden, someone just so happens to create User:OJHomer to help reach consensus. I can't tell who is a sockpuppet of who. Really, its quite obvious that one of those IPs (or perhaps one of these IPs that reverted me before: 222.153.68.65 or 69.86.129.29) really want the Zarbon image to stay. I don't think its possible to CheckUser all these users because ISP's change from time to time. Someone who has a dial-up connection (or perhaps another type of Internet connection) here just so happens to visit action figure for the first time (such as this guy, this guy, and most obviously this guy) and immediately revert back to the Zarbon toy image. What do ya make of this? Who should be tagged as a possible sock puppet/meat puppet of who? Power level (Dragon Ball) 03:37, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Try taking it to the Admin's Noticeboard, that may help--SUIT-n-tie 03:38, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
I'll do that then instead of attempting CheckUser. I gotta eat first though, brb... Power level (Dragon Ball) 03:46, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
I reported the mischievous reverts at the Admin. notice board. Let's hope for the best. Power level (Dragon Ball) 04:30, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm still tryin' that checkuser program. It's so damn complicated! Anyways, User:OJHomer did it again. He's such a dick, he even called you a possible sock puppet. Could you revert him using popups for being a jerk? I hope I can get this confusing CheckUser to work... Power level (Dragon Ball) 05:48, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't get what's with those dudes.--SUIT-n-tie 05:51, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey, while we're still at it, can ya help me get "codes" for CheckUser? See Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/OJHomer.I'm so lost here... Power level (Dragon Ball) 06:15, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't get it either... I'll look at it again--SUIT-n-tie 06:22, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
I posted an explanation at the checkuser page. I hope that at least convinces people. Power level (Dragon Ball) 06:53, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Excuse me Power level You calling me a dick is a personal insult and I'll have to report you for that. User:OJHomer

Comments left on OJHomer's Talk page. (aeropagitica) 08:40, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Hey groovy man. I took care of the sock templates by putting each of them in the right places. If you want to, help me watch Recoome for now so that he doesn't create more useless socks to revert/remove stuff for him or make sure he doesn't remove the {{sockpuppeteerproven}} template I placed on his userpage. Personally, I still think it's the work of the evil mastermind Zarbon using another ISP, I mean, who else would be so obsessed with having a Zarbon action figure image on the Action figure article? Well then: now I shall get to work on the Dragon Ball special abilities page and make it less confusing. Believe me, this'll take me awhile. Wish me luck! :) Power level (Dragon Ball) 16:34, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Or maybe Zarbon moved to a different part of whatever country he lived in. Or maybe to a different country. It's unlikely, but possible. Either way, Action Figure is now sprotected by myself, so we won't have any problems for a while. --Deskana (request backup) 16:40, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Hey man, it's me Power level. Even though I was pretty much done, I got really bored of the DB special abilities so there's still a lot of fixin' up to do there still. But I can guarantee you that most of its' less confusing now though... I wasn't sure of most of the title names for the techniques. So, ya think you could pick up where I lefted off? We have to establish the right titles for each move before fixin' all of the redirects in the DB characters related articles. See ya... Power level (Dragon Ball) 22:17, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
SUIT, I'm assuming you don't have anything to comment on about the Dragon Ball abilities? Do you wanna at least suggest what else should be fixed? Power level (Dragon Ball) 23:01, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for reverting vandalism to page for Avadis Tevanian

Avadis Tevanian has proudly discussed his Armenian-American background in referenced interviews, yet a certain vandal keeps removing this relevant material and, even more rudely, declaring him (without any evidence) to be of other ethnicity. I appreciate your helping me to keep an eye on the biography of this man, who has contributed much to the software industry. BN 23:17, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Nemu continues to redirect pages without consensus

Hey there, its Power level. Nemu redirected Bojack, Janemba and Tullece to their appropiate character's lists without discussing about it on the respective talk pages. I reverted his edits once and gave a good reason why they deserved their own page. He reverted me nonchalantly. He says he'll stop reverting me/redirecting them if you talk him out of it. Can ya do it? Their main articles are fine and I see no reason why they should be redirected. Please say something to him or revert the pages back yourself with a decent reason in your edit summary. Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 22:55, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't have anyything against what he's doing and he discussed his edits long ago in the respective talk pages--SUIT-n-tie 04:12, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
What about the Janemba article or the other ones? Didn't you say that you disagreed with something he did? Anyways, majority ruled against him in his selfish need to redirect on each of the respective talk pages of Janemba, Bojack and Tullece. Power level (Dragon Ball) 04:19, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Keep it civil man--SUIT-n-tie 04:19, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm as civil as can be my friend. Anyways, I suggest you don't fall to Nemu's level. Don't be like him. People that desire every single article to be redirected to a list and don't give a damn about other people's thoughts and opinions constitute as being selfish people to me. How about you? Power level (Dragon Ball) 06:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
And people who don't listen to others arguments, instead choosing to doggedly defend the most useless subjects for no valid reason, are ignorant. You're in the minority. Don't try to assassinate TTN's character simply because the only argument you can pull up is shot down easily. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 07:10, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Please respond to others in a civil manner Someguy0830. Also, do not call others ignorant when you're the one who's acting like a jerk-off. Do not butt in nonchalantly when you're the one that does mistakes too. It's unbecoming! You, on the other hand, are one to speak! You always want the Naruto articles to be your way and hardly accept anyone else's edits. I suggest you take a step back and mend your ways. Don't comment on other peoples behaviour when you are one who needs to improve also. Don't be a DICK! Power level (Dragon Ball) 17:13, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Dragonball Wiki

  • Hi there. I noticed you're a member of Wikiproject Dragonball, and I'm trying to recruit some people from that to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda 02:36, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Korean

I really only know common words (hello, goodbye, "My name is...", etc.) but it seems pretty accurate to me. Dictionary.com translates 한 벌 as Suite, but I don't think many people will know the difference. // DecaimientoPoético 12:50, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem, man. See ya around. // DecaimientoPoético 02:34, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Your popups

If you look at your contributions, you will see that your popups aren't plugging in the correct variables. The same thing happened to me. If you copy the source of my monobook.js, then your popups will be back to normal. Cheers, -- The Hybrid 14:03, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Did you delete the text transcluded by adding {{subst:navpop}}? If you didn't, then that's your problem. If that isn't it, let me know. Peace, -- The Hybrid 02:59, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I didn' think to watch your page. If I were you I would ask how to fix it on Lupin's talk page. Peace, -- The Hybrid 03:24, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi there, sorry for the intrusion. You beat me to an RC reversal a few minutes ago, and I couldn't help but notice you have the same problem with your popups that I used to. Lupin's FAQ has the fix [1]. The only difference is you need to add a bit to the end of one line in your monobook, so you get this! http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=User:Lupin/popups.js&oldid=88729935 Cheers! WikiProject The Beatles Newsletter, Issue 11, March 2007

WikiProject The Beatles Newsletter
Issue 011 – March 2007

Beatles News
  • On February 5, 2007, the Beatles' Apple Corps and Apple, Inc. (Apple Computer) announced a settlement of their latest trademark dispute involving use of the Apple trademark on the iTunes Music Store. In May of 2006, the High Court ruled in favor of Apple, but Neil Aspinall, manager of Apple Corps, vowed to appeal. Evidently, in the intervening months, the two companies negotiated a settlement. The settlement is discussed in this AP story. For background on the case, see Apple Corps v. Apple Computer. For fans, this may mean that Beatle music will be available someday on iTunes. Despite rumors of a February 2007 release, the material is still unavailalble.
Project News
  • There were no Project article adoptions for the month of February.
  • Project Policy has now been altered to reflect that the use of lowercase for the letter "t" of the word "the" in the Beatles is now considered the correct rendition.
Member News
  • New members to the project since the last issue include (although the first is a long time contributor who apparently has only just found the Participants section);
Tvoz
Freshacconci
Liamshaw
John Cardinal
Mezlo
ErleGrey
Captain Waters
Hey jude, don't let me down
Issue of the Month

See below. There is genuine concern that the Newsletter is getting stale in terms of content and variety, and that the same individuals are featured each month. Furthermore, lack of "news" is hindering the timely distribution as the editors wait for something to report. All Project editors are encouraged to give their news, suggestions and thoughts to keep the 'Letter vital and interesting. If making direct contributions do not appeal, please give a mention on the Newsletter talkpage and it will be incorporated!

From the Editors

Help is needed for the job of putting future Newsletters together. The present incumbent is finding it difficult to reflect the breadth of the Project, focusing on much the same individuals and articles each month, and has decided to beg for contributions from other individuals. Interested persons need only start working on next months issue to qualify. It really is that simple!

If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy!

Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue (Issue 012 – April 2007). Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned, or just start editing!

Hi, GroovySandwich, welcome to WikiProject LGBT Studies!

We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying, categorizing, and improving articles of interest to the LGBT community. Some points that may be helpful:

  • Our main aim is to help improve LGBT-related articles, so if someone asks for help with an article, please try your hardest to help them if you are able.
  • Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
  • The project has several ongoing and developing activities, such as article quality assessment, peer review and a project-wide article collaboration, all of which you are welcome to take part in. We also have a unique program to improve our lower quality articles, Jumpaclass, so please consider signing up there.
  • If you have another language besides English, please consider adding yourself to our translation section, to help us improve our foreign LGBT topics.
  • If you're planning to stay, have a square in our quilt! You can put anything you want in it.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome!

65.66.64.57

Thank you for making a report about 65.66.64.57 (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you! —dgiestc 17:40, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

RE:

Yeah it was growing to huge proportions; I had been considering in doing it before but I was kind of lacking the motivation, maybe I will get one of those bots to do the work for me, Cheers! -DDF 03:10, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Re:Adoption my_wing_hk

Thank you very much to adopt me, I would like to see how you can help me SUIT. Is nice to meet a Korean, my mom always watch DVD of Korean drama (translated to Chinese). Seeing you are a Christian I would like to say "I am a REBORN Christian" nice to meet you. I had already graduated in B.Sc (Comp Sci) and B.Com (Acc) therefore I would like to contribute to Wiki in this 2 fields, As I mentioned on my user page I have a big problem communicate with people specially writing. I need to write my CA exam (which I fail twice already) and with my communication skill that low, I will fail again (as all my friends said that my technical skill is fine). Is ok when I need to normal writing but when things getting complex the situation is getting from Ok -> worst. I hope in Wiki I can acquire this skill.

a friendly enquiry...

mate, do you remember on the DAH!2 page, that section about glitches? well, it was me who added that, and i thought it was a perfectly relevant piece of info. am i right in thinking it was you who deleted it? if so, why did the edit comment say- "this is not the place for this"? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tryzon (talkcontribs) 13:17, 31 March 2007 (UTC).

Help Desk Edit diff

Hello, as a suggestion, it doesn't usually help to reply to Help Desk questions unless you actually have an answer for the question. Adding commentary such as you did at the diff above can create edit conflicts for those who do have a response. Thanks! See you around the wiki. Hersfold (talk/work) 01:49, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Got it, Regards,--$UIT 01:50, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
