Ron Thompson 2019
Re: Ron Thompson 2019 photograph is not in copyright violation. As Ron Thompson's manager and Power of Attorney, the photograph in question was taken by Paulo Machado, my employee of which I have been given full control of photographs taken by Mr. Machado, of Ron Thompson.
- @Sassy blue1:, we cannot take that information from here as we cannot confirm who you say you are. In relation to the WP:FFU request, photos from Facebook cannot be accepted as there is no licence showing they are released under a free licence, unless a non-free rational is filled out. In relation to the Commons image, same problem, Commons cannot accept it. If you are who you say you are, and you are willing to release the photo under a free licence, you'll need to use the OTRS release generator on Commons. - RichT|C|E-Mail 21:57, 26 June 2020 (UTC)

- @Truecomputerman: First thing, please sign your message using four tildes, ~~~~. Second you would need to declare your COI, please read WP:PAID and enact its requirements before going any further. Third, 3/4 of those articles are interviews which are no good for establishing notability. Please see WP:SINGER, KRISTII must meet at least one of those criteria in order to be deemed notable. Further more as it's a biography of a living person, you also have to make sure any article follows WP:BLP otherwise it may be deleted. - RichT|C|E-Mail 15:26, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Rich Smith:one of the criteria is Billboard Chart Top 40 EDM in Jan 2017. Please write me an email. This is very confusing. I can't upload photos Truecomputerman (talk) 16:35, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Truecomputerman: I'm not going to email you.
I have checked that chart with fellow editors and have come to the conclusion that KRISTII might by notable. However you must declare the paid editing per WP:PAID immediately before making any further edits, even to my talk page. As for your draft article, it needs a lot more filling out and sources added. - RichT|C|E-Mail 17:00, 27 June 2020 (UTC) - @Truecomputerman: I have striked out a statement above as I have a query. I note on your draft it says 'Recovery (Dave Matthias remix) claimed #8 on Billboard Dance Radio Chart', did the orignal song 'Recovery', non-remix, chart at all? If not, the remix does not satisfy the chart requirement of WP:SINGER - RichT|C|E-Mail 17:04, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Truecomputerman: I'm not going to email you.
- @Rich Smith: Thank you very much for your rely. Getting a hang of this reply thread. No the original didn't chart. Then I will get back to you after I read the link you suggested. Thank you
- @Rich Smith: I am being tasked as a Manager of a singer KRISTII to make this page. We are working together on same goal as she is an indie artist. I work in partnership with her. Can we make such Wikipedia page for her or should we wait till she gets another criteria according to WP:NMUSIC?
- @Truecomputerman: You should wait until the criteria is met - RichT|C|E-Mail 18:50, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

Creation of page Deepa Subramanian
Hi Refer Creation of Page Deepa Subramanian , please advise what the issue is, I have used the same approach to successfully creating the page of Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya, your help is much appreciated, thanks Factedits (talk) 19:01, 28 June 2020 (UTC)

Problems
- Everyone was logged out. This was because a few users saw the wikis as if they were logged in to someone else's account. The problem should be fixed now. [1]
- Some readers didn't see new edits to pages. If the page had been recently changed they saw an older version of the page instead. This only affected readers who were logged out. It lasted for ten days. It has been fixed. [2]
Changes later this week
- The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 30 June. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 1 July. It will be on all wikis from 1 July (calendar).
Future changes
- The Modern and Monobook skins use the ID
searchGoButton
for the go button. This issearchButton
for Vector. To have the same ID for all skins it will change tosearchButton
in Monobook and Modern too. This will affect gadgets and user scripts. It will happen on 23 July. They should be updated to usesearchButton
. You can read more and see a list of affected scripts.

Draft:adesso SE
Dear Rich, thank you for helping on the draft for adesso SE. I have added some reliable independent newspaper articles and appearences at Gartner Research etc. Hope, that helps clarifying significance. Best regards.
I can no longer find "Edit" option for working on my Draft that you kindly put in Drafts.
Dear Rich, On June 18th, you moved my beginning/attempt at article of "Manfred 'Little' Konzett" (recording engineer) to Drafts. [[3]] Thank you for doing so, and for your feedback that on June 18th, I had not included enough references. I now have four active, full cover references I wish to add to my Draft/Article. On my talk page, you mentioned I can continue working on my Draft, but i can no longer find the "Edit" button at the "top of the window", as mentioned specifically in the directions written to me: If you would like to continue working on the submission, click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window." In fact, I no longer see the 'edit' option on any page i visit? Can you please help? Thank you very much Beth Wimmer (talk) 19:40, 1 July 2020 (UTC) Beth Wimmer
- @Beth Wimmer: Have you tried another browser? - RichT|C|E-Mail 21:09, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
Hello Rich, (and Wikipedia Kitteh! :) I just tried using a new browser, per your suggestion. Thank you for your idea, but, it did not help. the "Edit" section has gone away.... there is an "Edit Source" section at the top of each window, but no longer simply an "Edit" button. when i do click on Edit Source, the style/opportunity for editing looks very different than before. Also, there are folks trying to delete the photos used in my article: Drafts: "Manfred 'Little' Konzett" (recording engineer). All of the photographs I have uploaded into this article are completely, 100% owned by Manfred 'Little' Konzett, and he freely shared permission with me to use these photographs while making his article. Rich, i wish to be a contributing editor in Wikipedia. There are many more articles I plan to create. Can you help me get past this idea that Wiki editors want to delete all photographs I've uploaded? Thank you! Bless your heart, Beth Wimmer (talk) 06:19, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Beth Wimmer: if you are seeing Edit Source, you are on the wrong page. Try clicking here. As for the images there are 2 things to be aware of:
- I wouldn't worry about images until the draft is approved. They won't add anything to the draft and won't effect the reviewers decision on the draft.
- There is the issue of copyright, on the file you uploaded you've stated that 'Photo by Matthias Romberg', however declared that the source is your own work. The photographer owns the copyright to the image, unless it has bee released to a 3rd party, in which case they own it If you wish to keep that image uploaded, either Mr Romberg or Mr Konzett (whomever has the copyright) will need to 'release' the photo under a free licence, normally the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license. Please have a read of WP:COPYOTHERS. The other editors are not marking an image for deletion to 'spite' you or anything, it's just copyright and licencing are fickle things that are 1. Hard to get right 2. Very dangerous to get wrong
- I'm just going to add to this that I would highly suggest you have a read of WP:GNG, basically we need to see references from secondary sources, so news outlets etc talking about Mr Konzett, not primary sources (so any websites directly or indirectly connected to Mr Konzett) - RichT|C|E-Mail 06:34, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your Help, Rich
Hello Rich, Thank you so much for this new input. I will absolutely read the article you suggest. Still, there is not more 'Edit' button, and i find it strange that Wikipedia tells me: If you would like to continue working on the submission, click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window." when there isn't that option. so i clicked on the link you gave me... it looks like i can edit, but it does look different than before, perhaps because it's no longer a brand new page being created. So - i have some excellent, outside references to validate the noteworthiness of this article. I will add them now. Also, i shall now worry, for now, about the photographs as you said. They belonng 100% to Mr. Konzett, who's given me permission to use them. I understand what you wrote, makes sense. Photo by Mathias Romberg, yet i added my name as well, confused as i am the one writing the article. I'll have Mr. Konzett sign the release form, and re-add the photos later. For now, I will add the reliable references. Thank you! Beth Wimmer (talk) 07:07, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

I have made changes to 'Draft: Dinesh Nair (Sports)' by adding more details about his playing career. In the summary I have put more focus on his playing career as well. Also, earlier the reference links were included in the 'External Link' section. Now I have included it in the 'Reference' section to meet the inline citation requirement. Please let me know if this now satisfies the notability & inline citation criteria.
