You are invited to vote at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rationales to impeach George W. Bush (2nd nomination). All this is is ramblings/blog/rants about Bush. Not encyclopedic, should've been deleted long ago. Happy editing! Morton devonshire 21:20, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
May the Force be with you.
Dear Red Slash/Archive4,
- Thanks for voting on my RFA! I appreciate your faith in me, and was overwhelmed by the positive response to my RFA; for it shows that at least I'm doing something right. :) I've started working to improve myself already, and I hope that next time, things run better, and maybe, just maybe, one day we can bask on the shores of Admintopia together. Thanks and cheers, _-M o P-_ 21:53, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the support on my RfA!
File:Danavecpurpletiger.jpg | A belated thank you to you for Supporting my RFA! It passed 54/2/3, much better than I expected! I am still finding my feet as an Administrator, and so far I am enjoying the experience. I am honoured that you felt I was ready to take up this position, and wish to thank you formally! I hope I can live up to your expectations of me. Once again, thank you! --Darth Deskana (talk page) 18:24, 3 May 2006 (UTC) |
My RFA
Hello Red Slash/Archive4, and thanks for supporting me on my recent request for adminship! It has succeeded with an unanimous support of 67 votes, so that I am now an administrator. Please feel free to leave a note on my talk page should you wish to leave any comments or ask for any help. Again, thanks a lot, AndyZ t 21:55, 5 May 2006 (UTC) |
freedom of speech
Hey Matt Yeager, You don't know me but I saw your sonnet to Geogre and got a good laugh out of it. There's a vote going on concerning Wiki admins being able to censor what editors say off Wikipedia, and possibly use it punitively against other editors. Please go here to vote on this policy. Thanks for voting in my RfA!
Just taking a moment to thank you for voting in my RfA! I'm sorry I didn't answer your question directly there; I answered below, and indirectly. Were I to gain adminship at en.Wikipedia I planned to avoid deletions and blocks altogether, because my primary use of adminship is in external communications for Wikipedia/Wikimedia Foundation. The nomination failed to gain consensus, however, but I'm glad I accepted it! - Amgine 19:56, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
==Pennys== A tag has been placed on Pennys, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Pennys is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Pennys. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. Zpb52 04:56, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Pennys and dimes
Done. I do wonder, though. Penneys is a redirect to a company of some note in Irelad and UK; I should think that that Pennys could just as likely go there. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 05:15, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps Primark should start with something like Penneys redirects here. See also J. C. Penney. But I'm not sure if we do things like that. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 05:24, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
My RFA
Hi Red Slash/Archive4,
Thank you for supporting my RFA! Unfortunately it did not succeed mainly because most opposers wanted me to spend more time on Wikipedia. Thank you for your faith in me & looking forward to your continued support in the future.
Cheers

Closed RFI
Hi, I archived the following from WP:RFI since it seems to be closed:
- Aquatraveller (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log). He's made slews of vandalous redirects to Augusta, Georgia (under other usernames, too, but I can't see them). Could someone block him (maybe), or at least speedy all the harmful redirects? Thanks. Matt Yeager ♫ (Talk?) 22:35, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- All vandalous redirects to the article have been deleted or tagged for speedy deletion. --ZsinjTalk 01:56, 20 April 2006 (UTC) Antonrojo 17:45, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Userboxes: A New Proposal
Hey, I've noticed that you've been active on the Userbox deletion page, either strongly FOR or AGAINST the use of the new T2 for deleting userboxes. I have noticed that most of the community is strong in their opinions on this issue; for that reason, I created my own proposal which attempts to create a middle ground for the two groups, and finally get this debate settled once and for all. I welcome your input into the proposal, as well as your (non-binding) vote on the straw poll. Thanks! // The True Sora 01:31, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
Sukh's RFA - Thanks!
Thank you for your vote on my RfA. Unfortunately there was no consensus reached at 43 support, 18 oppose and 8 neutral. I've just found out that there is a feature in "my preferences" that forces me to use edit summaries. I've now got it enabled :) Thanks again. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 15:41, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
My RFA
Thank you, Matt Yeager, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Now that I am an administrator here, I will continue to improve this encyclopedia, using my new tools to revert vandalism, block persistent vandals, protect pages that have been vandalized intensively, and close AFD discussions. Any questions? Please contact me by adding a new section on my talk page. Again, thanks to all of you who participated!!! -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 23:18, 20 May 2006 (UTC) |

Wikipedia 1.0
Hi, Matt, and welcome to the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team! I wanted to find out what projects you might be interested in working in. We currently need help at Core Topics, and we will very soon need help contacting WikiProjects and reviewing [[nominations for the test CD release. We are currently re-assessing the main core topics table, and as we do this we add the core topic template containing the assessment to the talk page, as in {{Core topic|class=B}} (see Talk:Animal for an example). In a week or two we will start a mass contact of all the WikiProjects and encourage them to use the new automated assessment handling. We will also open up V0.5 at around the same time. Is there something there that would interest you? Thanks, Walkerma 06:08, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Hi Matt! Thank you very much for your kind words and support of my request for adminship. I have been truly blessed in many areas in my life, and it absolutely made my month to know that someone considers me a blessing to this great project. I look forward to continuing to see you around the project, and maybe we'll get a chance one day to talk about this crazy Northwest weather. :o) Thanks again, and if you ever see anything that I could be doing better, please leave me a message. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 02:13, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- I did get a chance to venture that way a bit; last year my family and I drove from Seattle to Yellowstone, so we passed through. It did remind me a fair amount of West Texas, but I'm from Central Texas, where we have more hills, grass, and trees in general than Eastern Washington does. Thanks for your message, and I'll talk to you later. EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 23:34, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Hi Matt, and thank you for your nomination (the nudge I needed) and kind comments in my request for adminship! With a final tally of (109/5/1), I have been entrusted with adminship. It's been several weeks since the conclusion of the process, so hopefully you've had a chance to see me in action. Please let me know what you think! Thanks again! ++Lar: t/c 03:25, 28 May 2006 (UTC) | |

Manzana
Hi Matt, I'm User:Pro bug catcher, we're both working on the same article Manzana. You added the "Despite the name, it is usually clear in color", which is better than what I wrote (and thank you for that). The verde refers to the fact that it is made with green apples... because of the lack of references for this information I didn't write it. (As you can see the name is logical : Manzana verde = Green apple, and that is what it tastes.) Pro bug catcher 11:23, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Washington State
Thanks for pointing it out. I was of the impression that "Washington State" would mean the U.S state à la "New York" and "New York State". I'll remember that in the future--Cezz 18:26, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Libya
Hi,
I've recently added Libya to the list of featured article candidates. Overall the candidature is going well with many of the objections now sorted out. The final concrete objection is with the article's prose. I have been the main contributor to the article and have been looking at it for the previous 9 - 10 months. My eyes no longer see it freshly, so I am not a suitable copy-editor!
To meet the final demand of copy editing, I have been advised to ask different people to edit parts of the article.
I would really love to get this article featured as you can probably see from the page's history! I've worked very hard on it and I see this as possibly being the final hurdle.
You can see the prose objections, mostly raised by Sandy, on the candidature page. If you have the time, please choose a section (Politics, Religion, Culture etc.) and copyedit, perfect, ace it! I would be very grateful with any help I can get.
Thanks a lot,
--Jaw101ie 16:57, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Knightfall
Tell me good sir, why do you have the glorious page of his noble Swiss Knight hidden in yours?
- Because I can. Matt Yeager ♫ (Talk?) 04:04, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Well thats a lame reason.
- You get what you pay for. Matt Yeager ♫ (Talk?) 04:12, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
true enough, but endulge me, why do you have that article.
- I saw it about to be deleted, but I thought it ought to be userfied instead. So I userfied it to my own page. Is that a problem? Matt Yeager ♫ (Talk?) 08:06, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Not at all, we all mourn the death of the Swiss Knight in our own way.
Invitation to join Wikipedia:WikiProject Eastern Orthodoxy
Hi there! I've noticed that you've edited articles pertaining to the Eastern Orthodox Church. I wanted to extend an invitation to you to join the WikiProject dedicated to organizing and improving articles on the subject, which can be found at: WikiProject Eastern Orthodoxy. This WikiProject was begun because a need was perceived to raise the level of quality of articles on Wikipedia which deal with the Eastern Orthodox Church.
You can find information on the project page about the WikiProject, as well as how to join and how to indicate that you are a member of the project. Additionally, you may be interested in helping out with our collaboration of the month. I hope you'll consider joining and thank you for your contributions thus far! —A.S. KEHS
Hi, I'm curious as to why you deleted the link to Kennewick High School. The school uses KEHS as an abbreviation for their website so should they not have an equal shout for a disambig page? Dyaimz 22:34, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
