Speedy deletion nomination of Digital Vibrating Disc
Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Digital Vibrating Disc, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fair use rationale for File:Old-gmpte-logo.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Old-gmpte-logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Simple Bob a.k.a. The Spaminator (Talk) 08:27, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Reviewing at Spanish people
Hi. If you reject large edits on "Pending changes" pages which are not blatantly obvious vandalism, you should explain your reasoning in the edit summary - just saying "no", as you did here is not sufficient, especially as this was your second rejection and you provided no comment at all the first time. If you don't state your reason for rejecting edits, it might possibly look like you're abusing your Reviewer right in a content dispute, and that could lose you the right. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:58, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
Some important suggestions
Good morning Rcsprinter123. You may have seen that the discussion about you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents turned into a big argument. Several people think that you should be blocked from editing for a long time or indefinitely. This happens a lot at that noticeboard, and is more likely because of your age. So I really suggest that you be much more careful with your edits. If someone changes what you write, or disagrees with you, then think that they might be doing it because they do actually know better. Instead of arguing with them or changing it back, politely ask them to explain. Or read over what they have done or said more carefully, and try to understand why that is the right way to do it.
Also, make sure that you read carefully the Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors link that James gave you. If possible, ask your parents to read it as well. They might learn something about Wikipedia :-)
Simple English wikipedia
You might want to also try editing Simple English Wikipedia. There are still rules there, and you still must follow them. And people will be watching your behaviour there if you break rules here. But things there are designed to be easier to read and understand, so there might not be as many problems. Also some (but not all) people there are more patient. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 04:16, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, I see you already have an account there. Silly me :) --Demiurge1000 (talk) 16:30, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
When you edited User talk:Bilby/Archive 6, did you not see the big sign at the top that says "This is an archive of past discussions. Do not edit the contents of this page."? If you want to talk to another editor, you should use their Talk page, not one of their Talk page archives. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:19, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, and as an aside, even on a current Talk page you should NOT mess with other people's comments -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:45, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
Reviewing
You just rejected a change to Treasure Planet with the reason "that doesn't really work". What is that supposed to mean? Please review the pending changes policy with respect to what constitutes valid reasons for rejecting changes, and how you should explain your reasons properly - if you don't, you are very likely to lose the Reviewer right before too long. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:23, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:48, 16 April 2011 (UTC)- Wikipedia is not a place for kids to mess around in, it's a serious project with established policies and with decisions made by consensus. Once your block expires, you must start acting more maturely here - and if that is not possible at your age, you will be prohibited from editing until you get a bit older -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:55, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
Community topic ban: GA
By consensus of the Wikipedia community, you are indefinitely banned from the WP:GA process. That means, in particular, that you may no longer nominate or review articles for GA. "Indefinite" does not mean "infinite": you can ask the community at WP:ANI to remove this ban if you convince editors that you have edited responsibly in other topic areas and understand what you did wrong here. I recommend to wait at least six months before asking, though. Sandstein 20:48, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Would you like a mentor?
Hi there Rcsprinter. I've noticed what's been going on after a nudge by Demiurge100, and was wondering if you'd like mentor? I've got a bit of a track record helping out with adoption, and have created an adoption school which you could shoot through, just to make sure you've got some core policies down. Otherwise, I'd stick around for chats and help, guiding you away from your block, onwards and upwards. Feel free to look into my adoption school, see if you like what you see? WormTT · (talk) 10:18, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, sure! What do you actually do? RcsprinterGimme a message 13:09, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- What do I actually do? Well, that's an awfully good question on so many levels. On Wikipedia, I do what interests me - generally trying to be helpful. I've managed to help a few people directly at the adoption school, which basically includes 8 lessons on wikipedia, which you can read through at your leisure - each with an associated "test". I'm happy to discuss policy with you, advice you on where you've gone wrong, offer suggestions of areas you can improve and so on. I've got 7 good articles to my name plus a handful of DYKs - so I'm pretty good at content creation. Does that answer your question? WormTT · (talk) 13:19, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, I suppose so. So how can I start? RcsprinterGimme a message 13:25, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I can set you up with your own adoption page in my school, where I can substitute lessons across for you once your block has expired. We can also chat about what went wrong on the talk page, think about ways to stop this happening again. I'll create it at User:Worm That Turned/Adopt/Rcsprinter123, which will turn blue in a few minutes, and if you like, you can get ahead on the reading by going to User:Worm That Turned/Adopt/Lessons. WormTT · (talk) 13:40, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, thanks, that would be great. RcsprinterGimme a message 13:43, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- Well, here's a bit of good news[1]. Beware, I've got you in my grasp now, I'll make a good editor out of you yet! WormTT · (talk) 14:07, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- When you do get a chance, let's have a chat here to see if we can work out where we're going. WormTT · (talk) 14:23, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, thanks, that would be great. RcsprinterGimme a message 13:43, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- I'm actually about to sign off for the day. I might be on once or twice during the night. Can I ask that for now, you have a look through the adoption centre, have a read of the first lesson, let me know if you're happy with it, when you are ready to move on to the "test". Also, have a look at the questions I've asked on the adoption center talk page. Basically, the important thing is that you don't make any edits that might be contentious until I get back. WormTT · (talk) 15:05, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Unblocked
In recognition that you have accepted mentoring (from a great mentor, I must add - I think you've made a very wise choice), and on the condition that you will edit under the guidance of your mentor and not make edits where you don't understand policy etc, I have reduced your block duration to "time served", and you are now unblocked. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:08, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Lists of bus routes in East Anglia
A tag has been placed on Lists of bus routes in East Anglia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 13:47, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

The article Derbyshire Buxton Road Bus Corridor has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Bus route that does not meet WP:GNG
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 21:58, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

You nominated this as having no context. At the time you nominated it the first two sentences were "Sarhala Ranuan is a village in Nawanshahar Dist now S.B.S. Nagar in Punjab. This vallage is situated 10 kms from phagwara off chandigarh road."[2] Not the best lead ever to be sure, but it establishes that this is a village in the Nawanshahar district of Punjab. Adding indenting
Hey Rcsprinter123 :) Hope alls going well. I was just looking at this edit, where you added an indent to my comment. Now, I don't want to make a big deal out of it, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't change the indentation of my comments (per the very WP:TPO you mentioned) as it can change the meaning. I was replying to Kudpung, not Jebus, and so my indentation was at the correct level. I won't bother changing it back, because it does also make sense where you've put it, and no clarity is lost, but for future reference, it's best not to change indentation unless you are very sure it's wrong. Anyhoo, no harm done. WormTT · (talk) 08:10, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

User talk pages
Hey Rcsprinter123, just as a heads-up: users are actually allowed to blank warnings and notices from their own talk pages (see WP:BLANKING), with some exceptions, such as sockpuppet notices, and denied unblock requests for blocked users. I know it's frustrating when somebody removes warnings and then carries on in the same way which sometimes happens, but they still have the right to blank their talk page - but it's important to remember that when they blank the page it is assumed to mean that they have read the notices (so if a user blanks a level 2 warning, it is apporpriate to warn them at level 3 next time).

AFD closures and username
Hi, I've suggested on the talk page of your alternate username that you revert your closure of Arex. On a very different matter, why on Earth are you editing using 2 different accounts? It's confusing and I see that you even edit the talk page of "Sprinting faster" using this account, but signing with the other one. From the contribution histories of both accounts, you seem to edit almost simultaneously using both. I guess you can all keep it apart, but I strongly suggest to retire one and only use the other. --Crusio (talk) 13:23, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- I wholeheartedly agree with Crusio. Per WP:NACD, non-administrators should not close discussions in which they lack the technical ability to act upon the outcome; as such, I've reverted your closures. Spellings
Hi, I see you're correcting a lot of spelling mistakes. Please make sure that spelling inconsistencies aren't just examples of English variations, especially before you move a page. For example, aging is a corect spelling, so there's no need to move an article like Aging of wine. One thing you could maybe check in future is how old an article is. A new creation is more likely to have a spelling error in the title than an established article. That article's actually been around since 2008, so it probably would have been corrected by now if it was wrong. It might not seem like a big deal, but people can get annoyed if they start an article in on variation of English, only to have someone change it later as an "error". --BelovedFreak 16:30, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Also, having one of the instructions be putting one's mailing address on your talk page probably isn't the best idea. :) Thanks in advance. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 00:39, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, sorry. I'd already printed it out and everything when I realised Sj was in the US. Sorry if you live there but I did some digging around too, and the postage is just too much, and it would take around 8 weeks to get there. As for the address thing, maybe I could ajust it to being just put on the email or something. Regards, Rcsprinter (talk) 12:34, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- Alright; that's fine. Just let me know if anything ever happens to change this; I would love to be able to use it! If you got some other people involved, perhaps, such as people in other countries as well, this could probably turn into something big-ish. It's a fantastic idea; I hope you get some "customers" that you can send these to soon. :) ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 19:50, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

The Minor Memory Hole Award
The Minor Memory Hole Award | |
Awarded for your work, a while ago, in identifying details about a minor that needed to be "memory holed" for their own benefit; and your work arranging the oversight request to do so. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 00:48, 31 August 2011 (UTC) |
- And your next task is to tell me why the graphic is relevant to the award :) --Demiurge1000 (talk) 00:49, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
- Is it because if you stood at the top and looked out you'd be overseeing everything? Rcsprinter (talk) 10:03, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion converted to PROD: Google nexus prime android 4.0
Hello Rcsprinter123. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Google nexus prime android 4.0 to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 10:51, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, OK. Sure. Rcsprinter (talk) 10:52, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, that was speediable - where something reads as fluently as that did, it's worth putting a sentence or two into Google to see if it's a copyvio. This was a straight copy of a Google press release. I should have thought of that before PRODding it. Cheers, JohnCD (talk) 11:00, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Help please
Hi. I am Jivesh. I edit strictly Beyonce-related articles on Wikipedia. I was wondering if you could do a copy-edit of Ring the Alarm for me? Please reply on my talk-page. Waiting in anticipation. Jivesh • Talk2Me 10:09, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- Wow, i never thought i would get such a quick reply. Thank you. Jivesh • Talk2Me 10:16, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- When is saw "Ring The Bell", i asked myself :"What is this?" Lol. Anyway, thank you wholeheartedly for the copy-edit. Much appreciated. Jivesh • Talk2Me 10:51, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Not sure why it happened...
..., but this is rather strange. I've fixed it, so you don't need to worry, but you might want to figure out why that happened so you won't accidentally do it again. Cheers. lifebaka++ 08:49, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure I agree with your non-admin closure of the Colin Craig AfD; he still fails WP:Politician, I don't believe the page meets the GNG and there wasn't a clear consensus for keep. Mattlore (talk) 00:28, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- I agree with Mattlore's assessment here. Please revert your inappropriate closure. You wrote, "Being kept because extra references found." It is not your prerogative to cast a supervote through your closure. If you feel the additional sources establish notability, feel free to opine in the discussion stating that, but don't close the discussion based on your personal opinion of the article.
