Re: Ellen Thesleff
[edit]Hi, the hook was specifically designed to avoid placing the name of the artist first so that the painting gets the most views. Do you have any objection to restoring the original wording? It should read: "… that art historians believe Self-Portrait may have been drawn by Ellen Thesleff in a trance-like state?" I am also open to alternative wording that preserves the name of the work or links to it in the first position and does not place it next to any other link. Thanks. Viriditas (talk) 06:15, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- One possible solution that both preserves the link and names the artist is to fold it into the title: "… that art historians believe the Self-Portrait of Ellen Thesleff may have been drawn in a trance-like state?" I want readers to focus on visiting the link to the painting, not any other link. Thanks. Viriditas (talk) 06:34, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- Why is my hook the only one in the queue that doesn’t have the link to the article in the first position? Viriditas (talk) 07:00, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Viriditas, I found the original phrasing to be a little awkward. I've now modified the hook to place the bolded link first, by folding Thesleff's name into the link text. Hope this is fine! — RAVENPVFF · talk · 11:39, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I greatly appreciate it. I agree that the original phrasing was awkward, and I should have put more time into it. Viriditas (talk) 12:00, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
