Welcome to Wikipedia, Rachel!

Thanks for the WikiLove! I'm still rather dumbfounded that of all the people on here, I was chosen to get the message, but hopefully it will have been a good choice.  : )

I do not in fact require any payment to help build a page; I'd find it produces a strong conflict-of-interest in this sort of thing. Rather, I edit Wikipedia out of the love of knowledge in areas I have a passion in, and historic preservation is certainly one of those!

Anyways, let me know what I can do to help you all or what you have in mind, and I will see what I can do, especially serving as a neutral set of eyes and keyboard. I have been editing here for over a year and a half, and have read up on a lot of the policies and coding (as well as a background in research and historic preservation), so hopefully I can be of good use.

The first step for any article on Wikipedia is establishing that your organization meets the notability guideline, which basically means that multiple independent sources have written about it. The quick overview: if the organization has been substantially (not merely tangentially) written about in newspapers, magazines, other periodicals, books, other organizations, or any other third-party reliable sources, then it should be good to go to the next phase. The policy Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) covers this, and is outside of my control. But this shouldn't be a problem (a quick Google News search shows a couple of hits in the past month), and the name shows up in some existing articles. I'm sure you all might know of many more to help draw from to establish this requisite element, which is really the hardest part of the whole process.

Two final notes: 1.) In terms of protocol, I am following this page for updates now; so instead of responding on my talk page and I on yours (and having the conversation in two places), we can keep a single thread going here. It makes things a lot simpler with them in one place!

2.)One of my closest college friends (Lauren Trice) interned with you guys a few years ago, back in 2009!

I think that I'm doing this right...I hope that it let's you know I've responded! We are so glad that you are willing to construct our page for us!!! We were just thinking about a page that out-lined who were are, and what we do in terms of our programs. All of this information can be found out our webpage coloradopreservation.org.

I'm not sure what you need to get started, or even what your timeline would look like for this, but let me know!

Michelle Chichester is still at CPI, and I believe Lauren interned her first year, so Michelle says "Hi!"

Feel free to e-mail me, Rachel Parris, if that's easier. You can find my e-mail on our webpage :)

Best,

Rachel
