Concerning your Portal Proposal

[edit]

I noticed you proposed a portal and it was summarily blocked by those who opposed it. This appears to have been in violation of Wikipedia's policy Wikipedia is not censored. Therefore I've nominated the portal approval process page for deletion. The discussion and voting page can be found at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Portal/Proposals. --Transhumanist 16:55, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do not think so. There are undoubtedly Activist Zionists, but I do not believe that Zionism in-and-of-itself is activism. -- Avi 18:32, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know about all those "modern Zionism" groups and post-Zionism but Zionism's goal was is to bring Jews to Israel. Even in the 10th grade History 1 Bagrut is it taught the Zionism is activism. Psychomelodic (people think User:Psychomelodic/me edit) 18:50, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits at electronic music

[edit]

Hello, I noticed you merged a huge text in electronic music, but I see that it has never been discussed in the relevant talk page. Now the article is too long (even for Wikipedia policies) and though I saw a few mistakes, I am not going to improve it becouse it would take too much time, I am busy with other articles and in my real life. Anyway, best wishes and cheers. --Doktor Who 14:27, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was merged from electronic dance. It had a "it was suggested that this should be merged into electronic music#recent years ..." template. Psychomelodic User:Psychomelodic/me 14:33, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I apologize for being snappy, but you need to describe the musicology as in what key the piece is in. "Full-On" on has the distinct benefit of making that possible. Reguardless of what the style sounds like. It's very hard to find credible sources, although I have some background in basic music theory and I have analyzed some of Infected Mushroom pieces before. They have classical background and it's easy to identify what's going on. I am just tired of re-editing the article. --HotshotGG 4:14, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your assistance! I edit another wiki more often and I apologize for not keeping up. I just edit a few wikipedia articles here and there. I can help you edit the article I just need more time to do so. --HotshotGG 2:58, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Re: Question

[edit]

Probably. Same thing with the punk footer at Punk rock. After all, the infoboxes provide the same function. The footers are intended to be placed on subgenre pages. WesleyDodds 22:09, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Panic! Genre

[edit]

One has to wonder if nit picking between electronica and electronic music as a definition for influence in a band is splitting hairs. This is especially questioned when there is a much larger debate in progress. Please make cases, again I know, in debate of talk page of P!AtD. This is a long, at times pointless, debate. Even still, lets get comments and idea's first. I don't recall what they were pegged as before all the changes this weekend, both defination of electronic work for me. Your change was kept for now. Hackajar 14:11, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Electronica is a form of electronic music that is consisting genres like trip hop and IDM and is being anti-EDM (I heard in North America the terms electronic music and electronica are equal). There is no debate about it, just a simple wrong edit I got it fixed. Psychomelodic User:Psychomelodic/me 14:19, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just FYI, be careful with the "V" word, as edits and reverts generally conform to WP:AGF policy. Your view point is more in line with a defined culture of electronic culture (based on location) you should leave note about your views in their talk page. Hackajar 15:16, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature

[edit]

Hello! While your signature idea is somewhat witty, I believe you should - in your raw signature settings - use {{subst:User:Psychomelodic/me}} rather than {{User:Psychomelodic/me}}. You see, everytime someone loads a page containing your signature, the software is forced to also load (transclude) the contents of User:Psychomelodic/me, resulting in a double workload for the servers. While this is nothing when put into the context of the work of the servers running Wikipedia, many a small thing makes a big thing... Jobjörn (Talk ° contribs) 15:16, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And then people could not edit it, and my signature will become very long. Plus I think the loading is negligible, comparing people with SVG flags in their signature... What do you think? Psychomelodic User:Psychomelodic/me 16:57, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, they could edit it. Just that their edits would only affect future signings, and not apply retroactively - just as if you would actually change your signature. Furthermore, I don't think there are any people with SVG flags in their signatures anymore, as using images in signatures is now actively discouraged. See Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages#Images. Later on in that text, you will find Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages#Transclusion/template - which obviously is in error as you CAN transclude parts of your signature. Nevertheless, that shows there is a community consensus against doing so, and also further explains why. Jobjörn (Talk ° contribs) 20:55, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User page Discussion

[edit]

Not sure if this is the proper format to add to the page, but...

User: Anarcho-capitalism's page is scheduled for deletion over here [2], I've used his page for sources and to check out basic definitions, and I feel it's incredibly useful. 0 contacted some people on his side of the fence to vote, so I thought it would be fair to bring some other people over also. You have listed that you are an Anarcho-Capitalist Wikipedian, so I thought that this would be reasonable. Fephisto 19:23, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article on Matrixism: an Entheogenic Religion

There is an article on a entheogenic new religious movement called Matrixism being created at User:Xoloz/Matrixism. There are numerous sources for this article yet it has because contentious because it deals with the subject of entheogens. Thought you might like to look at it and perhaps contribute. 206.124.144.3 05:37, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That may be a useful category although the name is unwieldy. Many of the Arab riots in Palestine of the early part of the 1900s can be classified, at least in part, as anti-Zionist. I could see a parallel category called Category:Zionism in the British Mandate of Palestine, which is probably more significant that the reaction to it. --Abnn 18:45, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Nelly-overandover.ogg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Nelly-overandover.ogg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Fair use rationale for Image:Kindzadza.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Kindzadza.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Unspecified source for Image:Entropy_-_Sample_This.ogg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Entropy_-_Sample_This.ogg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:38, 6 January 2008 (UTC). Tech psytrance

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tech psytrance, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Tech psytrance. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Mattafix.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Mattafix.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 15:31, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Nullsleep.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Nullsleep.gif.

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:15, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Dagor Dagorath (band)

[edit]

I have nominated Dagor Dagorath (band), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dagor Dagorath (band). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Hallucinogen (musician). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hallucinogen (musician). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Vibe Tribe DJing.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Vibe Tribe DJing.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Folk metal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sahara (album) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Kindzadza has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability, no sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
