2020 coronavirus pandemic in Oklahoma

[edit]

Hi, Prairie! Thanks for adding the table showing cases and deaths to 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Oklahoma. With your HTML wizardry, do you think you could add a template for a graph showing the exponential growth? Here's an example of a graph for Costa Rica: Template:2019–20 coronavirus pandemic data/Costa Rica medical cases chart. DBlomgren (talk) 00:57, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DBlomgren: Give me the data you want and I will try to make the graph. Prairie Astronomer (talk) 01:04, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I finally found the coding. Here's Argentina's chart coding: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Template:2019%E2%80%9320_coronavirus_pandemic_data/Argentina_medical_cases_chart&action=edit That looks like fun. I have been adding the statistics day by day, hoping the chart fairy would turn it into a chart. Let me add those daily percentage increases. Are you still up for this? DBlomgren (talk) 04:43, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DBlomgren - Just give me the day to day statistics, such as case counts and dates, and I will see what I can do. See here for what I have so far: Oklahoma Case Chart Prairie Astronomer (talk) 19:40, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I see that Master of Time has added a graph, but I think this pandemic will last so long that's it's better to make dates vertical not horizontal. I entered the data in Excel and am copying here. Will this help?

Date Cases Add Incr Rec Dth 2020-03-07 1 n/a n/a 0 0 2020-03-13 4 +3 400% 0 0 2020-03-15 7 +3 75% 0 0 2020-03-16 12 +5 71% 0 0 2020-03-17 29 +17 42% 0 0 2020-03-18 29 +0 70% 0 1 2020-03-19 44 +15 51% 0 1 2020-03-20 49 +5 11% 0 1 2020-03-21 53 +4 8% 0 1 2020-03-22 67 +14 26% 0 2 2020-03-23 81 +14 21% 0 2

Well, dang. Preview shows this will not line up unlike in the editing format.

Here's a link to Panama's graph, which also has date gap: 1 I can't find any OK info for March 8th to the 12th. DBlomgren (talk) 02:29, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, is it OK if I edit the chart in your sandbox? I'll just change the dates and numbers and not touch the formatting. DBlomgren (talk) 17:03, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DBlomgren - Sure, but please leave everything else alone. The graph is now located at User:Prairie Astronomer/COVID-19/Oklahoma COVID-19 Case Graph - Prairie Astronomer (talk) 19:06, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DBlomgren - I updated the case count, but still need more dates and death dates. The graph is located here. Prairie Astronomer Talk 20:38, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for updating the data! The problem is that the daily updates from 03-07 through 03-12, and 03-14 on the OSDH website do not mention additional cases, leading me to believe there was no change in the number of cases on those days. By the way, here's a link to the 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Panama which is lacking data for one day, 03-20. Maybe you could incorporate that formatting? Signature

[edit]

You should probably change the color of part of your signature per WP:SIGAPP. The blue on dark green is very hard to read.  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 15:12, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bait30 - How do you make the white font?
<span style="color: #ffffff; background-color: Green; border-radius: 10px;">Prairie Astronomer Talk</span>
is the code I have been using, but wont come out with white font color! Prairie Astronomer Talk 16:16, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This is the code for my signature.
<span style='color: #ffffff;background-color: #bf5700;'><b>&nbsp;Bait30&nbsp;</b></span>&nbsp;<span style='color: #ffffff;background-color: #bf5700;'><b>Talk 2 me pls?</b></span>
I think you have to put the "span style" stuff inside the piped link of your user page and user talk page.  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 18:03, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature is looking good now!  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 23:31, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Portal order

[edit]

Hello! Thanks for your edits to so many COVID-related pages. Small request: When you're adding portals, can you please place them in alphabetical order? Thanks again! ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:33, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the COVID portal is actually called Portal:Coronavirus disease 2019. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:34, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Another Believer - Doesn't the COVID-19 Portal link to the portal you mentioned? And I will put future portal edits in alphabetical order. Prairie Astronomer Talk 16:47, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Prairie Astronomer, Yes, COVID-19 link directs users to the coronavirus disease 2019 portal, but via redirecting. I think using the actual link is preferred. Happy editing, and stay safe. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:50, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
