August 2019

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm GiantSnowman. I noticed that you recently removed content from Jack Boyle (footballer) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Zallinger

[edit]

Now that you have added so much to the Zallinger article, appropriate to add second and perhaps third paragraph to the Lead. David notMD (talk) 21:33, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, sorry it took so long to respond. I'm new and I didn't know how to reply. I've realised what you've done and agree with your edits. I'm still new to this, so I apologize if I write irrelevant or otherwise unneeded content. I tried writing in a neutral manner, and will continue to try in future edits. I will do as you ask, tell me or change it if you think something isn't as it should be. Demagorastalk 22:07, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your help desk question

[edit]

You did not get a response to this question. Maybe you could ask again. I'm not familiar with what you are asking.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:43, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I was asking about the tree chart template and if there was an easier way to use it, although I think I got around that now and don't require help. But thank you for trying to help. Demagorastalk 09:06, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't be the one to ask, but I like to make sure all the questions get answered if it can be done.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 16:01, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

how to join wp:biography

[edit]

Hello, I was looking for this answer and I somehow reached your [1] thread. You said you knew then. I also want to join this. How to do this? Thanks. Lightbluerain (Talk | contribs) 17:33, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! In order to join you must edit your userpage and plug in {{User WPBiography}} and a userbox will appear (I see you have some already). Alternatively, if you don't want it to appear on your userpage, put [[Category:WikiProject Biography participants|{{subst:BASEPAGENAME}}]] into your userpage anywhere and it will work. This will list you as a participant.

If you want to go even further and list yourself as a member then head on over to the members page and insert your user name to the appropriate spot with #{{User|Lightbluerain}}. You can even add a little description about what your contribution to it will be, if you wish of course :) Hope this helps! Demagorastalk 19:25, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. Thanks. Lightbluerain (Talk | contribs) 17:40, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

September 2020

[edit]

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Jack Boyle (footballer) article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 14:34, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with your custom signature

[edit]

Hello, I'm sending you this note because you need to update your signature. You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. Your signature does not link to your account. This is usually because your account has been renamed.

To fix your signature, you need to find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences and either blank it or change the link to your current account name. More information is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. mw:New requirements for user signatures/Help#Wrong user links. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures.

Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 23:46, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About the Articles You Create

[edit]

Good afternoon Demagoras, I've seen the articles you have created and that's great! Here's some advice going forward.

- When finding parameters, databases shouldn't be the main location unless there is a lack of references for the star. Search for some.

      - Ex: 10 Trianguli's parameters are mainly from TESS and Gaia EDR3.

And that's all, have a good day! If you have questions, don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page.--Speed doesn't always mean quality. (talk) 19:30, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep that in mind in the future. I've also noticed your contributions to astronomy articles, keep it up! Demagorastalk 23:42, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
