Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Alexf(talk) 23:31, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Skip Erving at PanoramaGlobal: I did not have a chance to disclose COI

Accept reason:

I am willing to unblock you based on your responses. Please make sure to disclose your paid editing/COI status and not edit those articles directly. You are welcome to post on my talk page if you have further questions about the process. GeneralNotability (talk) 15:46, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I am very new to this process and appreciate all the feedback! I have been trying to edit a page for accuracy and have been trying to disclose COI but have been very lost on the whole process. I now understand all but one of the copyright issues (I still don't understand why the 2020 PDF is flagged but not the 2019). I am happy to disclose all the information needed to confirm to COI and the username policies, but I just need help doing that. Can you or anyone else help me out? Thank you!

We'll start with the username- please replace the words "Your proposed new username" that I added to your unblock request with your choice of new username; your username should reflect that an individual is using this account(though you do not need to use your real name). A name such as "Username of PanoramaGlobal" would be acceptable, if you wish. 331dot (talk) 16:38, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

To be clear I am an individual making edits tied to an organization with COI that I will disclose.}} Hope I did that correctly... Thank you for your help!

I have changed your username; please review WP:COI and describe how you will edit consistent with that policy, as well as describe any other unrelated topics you are interested in editing about. Please also review WP:PAID. 331dot (talk) 00:04, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Thank you for the username change. I intend to suggest edits to pages that I have COI through Talk pages and disclose at the top of my edit suggestions my COI and that I am a paid editor on the topic. I intend to provide meaningful reason and resources to support my suggested edits. I am basing my plan of how to submit edits, COI and payment details, off of the Talk:Mia Farrow <https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Mia_Farrow> example. I am happy to provide more reasoning if need be. Thank you for your help!
