Welcome to the League of Copyeditors

[edit]

I'm very sorry I haven't had a chance to welcome you earlier, I have been incredibly busy lately. We are glad to have your help. Currently, we have really cut down the backlog of articles in need of copyedit. Therefore, a major goal at this moment is to identify new articles that are in need of work. When you run across them, be sure to tag them for copyediting.

If you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to drop me a line. Trusilver 06:30, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome! Oopsadoodle 10:28, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request for magazine review

[edit]

Hi, I was wondering if I could get the Grudge Warriors review from the May 200 Issue (59) of Official UK PlayStation Magazine. David Fuchs (talk) 19:41, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've got it, delete away. Thanks! David Fuchs (talk) 20:36, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.

Remove prod from Ahmed El Esseily, it has already been reviewed for deletion

[edit]

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Ahmed El Esseily, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, it is best not to propose deletion of articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! -- Atamachat 17:40, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, I failed to notice that it had been put through AFD before. PirateMink 17:55, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Brach's Rocks

[edit]

Can you help with the formatting and sourcing of information on Brach's Rocks at Brach's? Thanks. Wiwaxia (talk) 23:30, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion review

[edit]

I have asked for a deletion review of Richard Denner. Since you nominated the article for deletion initially, you might want to participate in the deletion review. --Michael Snow (talk) 18:21, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You never finished listing this for deletion, I've put it up on today's AFD listings and tagged the page. —Random832 02:42, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Magazine info

[edit]

According to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Video_games/Magazines, you have a Blueprints section for Spyro: Year of the Dragon in issue 64 (nov 2000) of Official UK PlayStation Magazine. I'm trying to improve the article in question, so could I get a copy of the info? Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 15:40, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it already made FA, but another review can't hurt... thanks a million! Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 22:39, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Official UK PlayStation Magazine request

[edit]

Hey, I was wondering if I could request the Space Invaders game review in issue 55 (February 2000) of the UK PlayStation Magazine. Thank you. (Guyinblack25 talk 20:57, 10 May 2008 (UTC))[reply]

...And i was wondering if you still had the bit about Wipeout 3 Special Edition (is. 62, Aug 2000) of the same mag. 11:53, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Magazine Request

[edit]

I'm not sure if you're still editing here any longer, but I was interested in getting some information on the PS1 version of Galaga. You've listed yourself as the contact for Official UK Playstation Magazine, Issue 68, February 2001, so if you're still available to make copies or to otherwise share this source, please let me know. Thanks in advance, -Thibbs (talk) 17:31, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Ari Wolfe for deletion

[edit]

A nomination is taking place as to whether Ari Wolfe should be deleted or not. The discussion is held at the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ari Wolfe and everyone is welcome to join in on the discussion. However do not remove the AfD notice on top. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
