Meh

[edit]

Regarding your comment on ANI dated 00:16, 2 February 2012 (UTC): I've managed to see plenty similar stuff in just the past four months on Wikipedia. Complaints about mobbing/lynching are actually quite common. As are other unsavory comparisons. ASCIIn2Bme (talk) 01:05, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Russian Beatles thing

[edit]

Hi, you've seen the latest thread about the Russian Beatles thing. I know in the previous thread you said you may contact archive.org, did you ever contact them? The latest links also seem to be to archive.org and [1] shows there's a lot of them. May be best to reply at WP:ANI#Another external link to Beatles music Nil Einne (talk) 21:47, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Racial incident at Brentwood High School

[edit]
So you truly believe a school who id not discipline their students after a racial incident is not notable enough to be on Wiki?
I wish you would care for the living as much as you care for the dead and their burial grounds.

Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York

[edit]

Regarding the number of parishes in the Archdiocese, could you please add http://www.archny.org/pastoral/parish-planning (which states that the number of parishes is 370) as a reference, as I do not know how to do this? 71.72.16.125 (talk) 17:47, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Holiday Cheer
Michael Q. Schmidt my talk page is wishing you Season's Greetings! This message celebrates the holiday season, promotes WikiLove, and hopefully makes your day a little better. Spread the seasonal good cheer by wishing another user a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Share the good feelings.

The Confession of Brother Haluin, Ellis Peters novel

[edit]

NellieBly, Thanks for starting the page for this novel. I realized just now that I spent days over the last year extending the summary then shrinking it back down to about the length you posted. Proving I am a slow learner, I guess. On a more solid note, I added reviews, setting in history, publication history, and a list of characters. I have not learned how to get the book's cover inserted, so that remains undone. No one put a novels block on the Talk page, either, but that is beyond my scope.

My changes in the plot summary, I realize now, were a few "plot facts", and no real change in the approach. So the summary is still longer than Wikipedia likes. When I started my editing one year ago, I did not know the preferred length. Now I do, but at least for now, I cannot get it any shorter. Laughing at myself, I guess.Prairieplant (talk) 07:57, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Image of Winnipeg buses

[edit]

Hi NellieBly, I saw that you uploaded a snap of Bus No 55 in Winnipeg five years ago, and I was wondering, if you are still in Winnipeg and have the time to do so, could you get an image of Bus No 56? I'm specific about 56 here as it is for a project I'm working on using the Commons. Thank you. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 07:29, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Reginald Pole, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Virgin Queen. Question

[edit]

Shouldn't the section on celestial seasonings defending itself be removed since it cites it's own website and that to me is not a reliable source.69.165.246.175 (talk) 16:09, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Silly

[edit]

"Incidentally, you may be unaware that "silly" is a common code word used by bigots specifically to minimize and dismiss women".

Hi, Nellie, I've never heard of this before. What are its roots? For example, I'm aware of the problem people perceive with using the word "hysterical" (fairly obvious, actually), but this is new to me. Is it regional, i.e., Canadian? Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 12:46, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service

[edit]

Hi NellieBly! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over three years.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in three years or more.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|{{subst:currentuser}}|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name on the FRS page, you may be receiving this message. If so, make sure your new account name is on the FRS list instead.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:26, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
