Orphaned non-free image (Image:Sarit Hadad Miss Music cover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sarit Hadad Miss Music cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:55, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NYC2TLV, I saw that you contribute extensively on Israeli football and have written the article on Egon Pollak. As I have written the article on this footballer for the German language WP, I wonder if you can help me on the issue of Pollak's coaching career in Israel. I know that he started coaching Maccabi Tel Aviv in 1934 and did so until he stayed for a year in Australia. He returned to the club after this, however I'm not quite sure in which function. What I would like to add to the article is the number of championships that he won with Maccabi Tel Aviv. 1937 seems quite clear, 1939 likely (depending on when the Australian tour took place), 1941 and 1947 possible. Can you help on this issue? Thank you --Karloff lugosi (en) 19:13, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:1965 Maccabiah logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:1965 Maccabiah logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. GrooveDog (talk) (Review) 18:54, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No fair use tag removals

[edit]

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tags on images which you have uploaded unless you have fixed the problem. You have done this twice already on Image:1965 Maccabiah logo.jpg. The template, shown below, clearly indicates that in addition to the boilerplate, you are required to provide a fair use rationale. See the bottom line on the template below. Fair use disputed for Image:MaccabiLA.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MaccabiLA.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:30, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Beit Shemesh Blue Sox.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:57, 12 September 2007 (UTC). I think his name in its "real" lettering (ie Hebrew, as well as when transliterated into English) should also be bold in the opening words. Like with Dror Kashtan and others. --Dweller 12:21, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of Israeli footballers

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article List of Israeli footballers, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Jogurney 14:01, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:1957_Maccabiah_logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:1957_Maccabiah_logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

Fair use rationale for Image:SC Maccabi Wien.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SC Maccabi Wien.png.

Thank you. PxMa 01:11, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Torneo di Viareggio 2007.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Torneo di Viareggio 2007.jpg.

Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:53, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Shadow Single Cover.jpg)

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Shadow Single Cover.jpg.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hapoel Jerusalem FC.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hapoel Jerusalem FC.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Maccabi Belgium.gif

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Maccabi Belgium.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Temple Beth-El (Casablanca)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Temple Beth-El (Casablanca) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. [+]►▌●√Ω ЯЯΛUNΛΣ● ▌◄■► 16:24, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Asi Abutbul

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Asi Abutbul, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.

Thanks for your uploads. You've indicated that the following images are being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why they meet Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page an image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Jewish footballers

Nothing against Jewish footballers, just a thing about unsourced information. An article has to validate the categories that are added to it. That is why I removed them. I will continue to remove unsourced information. Also it seems that the categories Jewish footballers and Israeli Jews are WP:BLP violations as it is not relevant to their notabiltiy. Hubschrauber729 (talk) 00:24, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you read WP:BLP you will realize why I am reverting your edits. Secondly that citation for Roash is not a citation. Put it in properly so people will know you have the information sourced. But then again it will probably be removed because it it is not relevant to what makes him notable. Hubschrauber729 (talk) 19:29, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Dunaferr FC players, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Dunaferr FC players has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Dunaferr FC players, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Moshe Abutbul. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Orphaned non-free media (File:SHI 360 Hai Album Cover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:SHI 360 Hai Album Cover.jpg.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:22, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Liam Resnekov

[edit]

The article Liam Resnekov has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable: only two fights, in 2003, in a small regional Australian promotion.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --aktsu (t / c) 04:10, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello NYC2TLV! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 39 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Barry Swift - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 00:39, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Michael Greenberg (soccer), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://michaelgreenberg.org.

Non-free rationale for File:Main Page of Walla.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Main Page of Walla.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Hapoel Haifa F.C.

[edit]

Your recent editing history at Hapoel Haifa F.C. shows that you are in danger of breaking the three-revert rule, or that you may have already broken it. An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Breaking the three-revert rule often leads to a block.

If you wish to avoid being blocked, instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You may still be blocked for edit warring even if you do not exceed the technical limit of the three-revert rule if your behavior indicates that you intend to continue to revert repeatedly. GiantSnowman 00:19, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I did. Where is the talk page consensus that shows your version is correct? GiantSnowman 00:23, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The other user refuses to discuss the "edit warring." Besides the template for the current squad indicates, "Flags indicate national team as has been defined under FIFA eligibility rules." Therefore, removing the flag of the national team for Ali Khatib is pretty blatant for being wrong. -NYC2TLV (talk) 00:26, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Don't get me wrong, I agree with you - see my comments on the talk page - but it takes two to edit war. If they refuse to discuss & continue to revert, then further action will be taken. GiantSnowman 00:29, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
