Foodio

[edit]

My primary issue with it is that the multiple serious publication sources don't really establish the notability of the company. Let's look at them - the first link merely includes Foodio in a list of national dining guides...and that's it - nothing about Foodio itself. The second link is from a social networking site (not really a reliable source talking about the company upon its launch - again, not establishing any sort of notability, or putting forward any evidence as to why, under the notability criteria, Foodio merits inclusion. The Seattle Times article is about a completely different company, and only mentions Foodio in passing - ditto the Guardian article. The NY Times article similarly doesn't actually establish why Foodio is notable, and is almost certainly based on a press release by the company itself.

So, whilst your articles 'mention' Foodio, they don't come close to establishing its notability, or in any way demonstrating why it's notable enough to merit inclusion. I hope that answers your question - have a look at the Zagat and Fodors articles and the independent articles they site. That, and they've been around for years - so are more likely to have reached the standard of notability. That said, if you don't think they merit inclusion then it's a Wiki- propose them for deletion. GBT/C 07:24, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and on the basis that you're clearly this person, you have an inherent conflict of interest in writing about a company which you are involved in. GBT/C 07:28, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
