Welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Molecular Partners AG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 22:24, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

The username was previously "Molecular Partners AG" because I work on behalf of the company (a communications firm). I am willing to provide the necessary information if needed to confirm my consultancy with Molecular Partners. I realize that my account was blocked because Wikipedia believed this to be a "sock puppet" for the company. I fully referenced approved content from Molecular Partners, as well as approved resources. I would be happy to adjust the copy if it is contains promotional or marketing language. Please contact us with additional steps that need to be taken to unblock the account and to address any additional concerns or errors.

Decline reason:

One request at a time, please. Max Semenik (talk) 10:03, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You are not blocked for sockpuppetry; you are blocked because your username is intrinsically promotional. A username must be unrelated to any company or organization. Please answer the questions below.

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a subject that you are trying to create an article about, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to break the 3 important questions above. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:36, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please confirm that my new username "avanrees" does not break the above questions. What are the next steps? Will I receive confirmation that my account is unblocked? Once I re-gain access to my account, will the content that I originally uploaded to the Molecular Partners AG still be accessible or will I need to re-upload my content? Please confirm that the nature of the content is not overly promotional. We have ensured that all of the content is properly cited. I am happy to adjust if needed. Thank you for your help navigating this process. Please let me know if you have any questions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Molecular_Partners_AG (talkcontribs)

Thank you, Anthony. How can I go about changing my username on this account from Molecular Partners AG to A.Vanrees? Do I have to create a new account or can I change the name associated with this account to A. Vanrees? Once my account name is changed and I can access it again, will I be able to restore the changes I previously made to the DARPins wikipedia page and the creation of the Molecular Partners AG page?questions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Molecular_Partners_AG (talkcontribs)

Your reason here- Avanrees already exists, please let me know if the username A.P.VanRees is available and if i can proceed with changing my username from Molecular Partners AG to A.P.VanRees. Can I restore the original changes I made to the DARPins and the creation of the Molecular Partners AG page?

Procedural decline: no response to our questions. Max Semenik (talk) 10:03, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This proposed username is OK, but there are still some issues that bother me. You said that you understand that Wikipedia is not for promotion, yet you ask whether you will be able to "re-upload your content". So you understand that you wouldn't be able to upload any promotional content even when your account is renamed? Also, you said "We have ensured that...". What do you mean when you say "we"? Are you aware that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared? Vanjagenije (talk) 21:52, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
