Montalvo Beach moved to draftspace
An article I recently created, Montalvo Beach, has now citations from reliable, independent sources. I feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, so I clicked on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks! --MJSB73MP (talk) 15:52, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

The Powerpuff Girls
Hello, I just found out that there's another page about the upcoming live-action Powerpuff Girld reboot. I thought you and Jonathanjoseph81 said it's way too early for it's own pilot and that it's just a pilot not a series yeat. Well someone just created another page and I can't do anything about it Zboogie604 (talk) 4:36, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Zboogie604: Hi – I wasn't involved in the initial decision to draftify the Powerpuff Girls article? I do agree with it though, so I've nominated the page for speedy deletion as it isn't customary to create an article when a draft exists. Thank you for informing me! – DarkGlow • 10:26, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

Help I have made a huge mess of the coronation street characters 2020 page whilst trying to add a character. I am sorry Blackazz968 (talk) 20:23, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi DarkGlow, please can you look at the list of coronation street characters 2021 talk page I have requested that someone adds a character in ‘other characters’ for me because I’m not very good at doing that, thanks Blackazz968 (talk) 19:14, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I have a question, on the fandom website, the list of characters finishes at Nina Lucas. Grace Vickers, Elaine Jones, George Shuttleworth, Daisy Midgley, Ronnie Bailey & Harvey have not been added. Could you or do you know anyone who could add these characters? Thanks Blackazz968 (talk) 20:42, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackazz968: I do have a Fandom account, but I very rarely use it as I don't like the format, or the website as a whole. So sorry, I'm unable to help with that! – DarkGlow (contribs • talk) 20:49, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Okay, thanks anyway Blackazz968 (talk) 21:52, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Hi DarkGlow, I hope you are well. I have a small question. Would I be allowed to add coronation Street characters publicity photos to their Wikipedia articles? If so, would I need to add a link to where I found the photo? Thanks, Blackazz968 Blackazz968 (talk) 21:20, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackazz968: Hello, I hope you're doing well too! Do you want to add photos to character articles or to the articles of the actors? – DarkGlow • 22:12, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
I want to add their publicity photos, on the articles about the characters, not the actors Blackazz968 (talk) 22:15, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackazz968: Okay, use this tool to upload it – make sure the image is cropped to satisfy copyright rules (it doesn't have to be super zoomed in). Then add a fair use summary – feel free to copy the summary on File:Juliet Nightingale 2020.jpg and just amend the top few lines to be applicable to your image. Let me know if you need any help – DarkGlow • 22:18, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
I am not sure how to use this. I am not very good on this website. I have a picture of the character Elaine Jones (a screenshot from a YouTube video uploaded by coronation street official channel) and I thought I would just go to her article In the list of coronation street characters 2020 article and add picture, although I don’t want to break any copyright rules. What should i do now? Thanks Blackazz968 (talk) 22:30, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackazz968: Ah – since Elaine is a list entry, we can't use an image of her. It's something known as "fair use" – it means we can only use a photo of a character on their standalone article. Photos of the portrayer that are copyright-free can be used (Lily Walker, Harvey, Bernadette Taylor are examples), but not photos of the character per the rules. Sorry, but I hope this helps! – DarkGlow • 22:35, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
I see! Well thank you very much for your time, have a great evening Blackazz968 (talk) 22:38, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
Good afternoon, I would like to make an enquiry about a character on the list of emmerdale characters (2014) Juliette Holliday is currently classed as one of the ‘other characters’ however though, since her return in 2021, I think she should have a proper list entry article (if you know what I mean) I think she should be classed as recurring since she is not on the official website (yet) is that enough to have her classed as a recurring and not a guest? Many thanks Blackazz968 (talk) 15:46, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackazz968: There's certainly scope for her to have a section – the rule of thumb is that a character should have casting/development/reception info to have their own section. I'm sure I can dig up some of that at some point. – DarkGlow • 17:20, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
Thank you Blackazz968 (talk) 18:43, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Howard Bellamy (Doctors)
On 19 April 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Howard Bellamy (Doctors), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the fictional character Howard Bellamy from the British soap opera Doctors was based on a real-life army captain who quit his job to run a doctor's surgery? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Howard Bellamy (Doctors). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Howard Bellamy (Doctors)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

My Mum Tracy Beaker
Hi I need help someone reverted everything on my mum that Beaker article to say it's finished and not coming back but I know it's been renewed and I've added a source. But trying to add a transmission table but I can't get it to go right. Adavid299 (talk) 09:20, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: Hey – I checked out the source you added for the renewal but it appears to be what's known as a web scraper, which is an unreliable source. Since there's only that site that states it has been renewed, we can't add it until reliable sources confirm it. However, I agree with you that it's not a miniseries. – DarkGlow • 09:51, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

A message from Crefollet: On Boys World
Why didn't you edit and submit the article of Boys World from Draft:Boys World that was already being worked on?
~ Crefollet (talk) 22:17, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Crefollet: I wrote the entire article in an offline draftspace (my notes app to be specific) so I had no idea a draft existed until it came to actually publishing the article, when I received the message at the top. I'm on AfC, so I tend not to edit/submit drafts since I can accept them myself (so doing that is a waste of time, no?). If I had looked at the draft, I would have just replaced the current version with my version, submitted it and accepted it through AfC – so either way, the outcome would be the same. – DarkGlow • 07:45, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

A message from AndrewPizarra
hi, I'm adding some cast members to a tv page and as there are a few Tom Rileys about I am considering using this link code - * Tom Riley (actor) as Dave Beethoven Or is there a better way? thanks AndrewPizarra (talk) 15:39, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- @AndrewPizarra: Hey – the "(actor)" is called a disambiguation. The best way to link someone with a disambiguation is with a method called piping. The layout looks like this: Tom Riley (actor)|Tom Riley
- By placing the "|" symbol, it allows you to edit the outlook of a link, to hide the "(actor)". Hope this helps! Feel free to ask more if you're unsure on anything. – DarkGlow • 16:47, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
Enquiry from Blackazz968
Hi, hope you are well, in the list of coronation street characters 2020, Arthur Medwin is currently classed as an other character. Would this particular character have enough to make them have a proper entry? If so, I won’t be able to add it because I am not very good on this website. Thanks Blackazz968 (talk) 18:04, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackazz986: I put him in the other characters section since I was unable to find any development info for him – since he's now left, I doubt there's anything but I can try looking. I haven't forgotten about Juliette btw – just been very busy lately so I haven't done much on Wikipedia this week. – DarkGlow • 18:07, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

- @Blackazz968: Hello – you need to change to "desktop version" by clicking the desktop button at the bottom of a page. Then click "preferences" at the top right, and it'll be on the first page you land on. To get back to mobile view just click the mobile button in the same place where the desktop button is. Regarding Draft:Good 4 U
Hey, How do you do? Regarding the draft, I think Good 4 U has been cleared for the move. Can the draft be moved into the article space now? I'm not experienced in moving articles. Can you please perform the move? Thank You. BawinV (talk) 12:05, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- @BawinV: An inexperienced user tried to delete Good 4 U but ended up redirecting it again, so I'm waiting for the page to be deleted before I can do the move. I'll accept the draft as soon as the redirect is deleted. – DarkGlow • 12:08, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- @DarkGlow: Oh, thank you; but I want to clarify a doubt if you do not mind. Who is responsible for deleting Good 4 U, assuming your job is to only review/approve drafts? BawinV (talk) 12:21, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- Only administrators can delete pages. If I had page mover rights, I could move the draft over to mainspace without deleting it (it would make the draft a redirect instead of deleting it, if that makes sense). However, I am not an admin or a page mover so the quickest method is to tag the redirect for speedy deletion and wait for it to be gone. It's annoying, and makes me want to apply for page movers rights... – DarkGlow • 12:25, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- Ah, I get it now. I was confused. Thank You. And yes, page movers rights would be very useful for you. BawinV (talk) 12:58, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
I don't know what to make of three edits in the history [1][2][3]. A history merge was performed with the draft and a recreated Good 4 U, moved into mainspace, and then moved back to draft space. I subsequently reverted back to the version of the draft prior to those entries merged into the history. (There is definitely a statistical issue in the change in the number of bytes at the point the merge happened.) MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:34, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
- @MPFitz1968: The amount of moves such a new page has gone through is astounding lol. It stems from impatient and inexperienced editors being unable to wait for the page to be accepted through AfC in the proper channels. I'll be glad when I can approve the draft be done with it! – DarkGlow • 16:42, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Ian Beale's classification
Hi I know Adam is on a extended temporary break from EastEnders but I don't understand why we had to change his classification to Former even though the character is still present and will be back. Adavid299 (talk) 19:48, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: This was a discussion on the character list talk page. As a character, Ian is not present since he had a written exit and is not appearing in the soap. Even as an actor, Woodyatt is now out of contract so he is a former character for now. As there is no concrete date for his return, I wouldn't even place him in the returning characters section just yet. – DarkGlow • 19:52, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Page mover granted
Hello, DarkGlow. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

Hi I've just seen a source that says Max Branning return confirmed as Linda contacts him about the baby shall I change the Wikipedia page to say he's coming back or just leave it for now? Adavid299 (talk) 11:42, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: Hey, Max isn't returning – at most, it will be a voiceover over the phone to Linda. Wood stated that he may return one day, but not for years. Most sources I find say his return "appears to be confirmed" but that's just as the spoilers state Linda contacts Max, so most likely just clickbait lol. – DarkGlow • 11:46, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
The wall
Hi got a very good question about the wall tonight's episode is the end of series 3 but next week's is a brand new episode and it's in series 2 do I changed the end date for series 2 to next Saturdays date or change it to TBA? Adavid299 (talk) 13:50, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: Sorry, completely missed this! Yeah, I'd just have the series 2 ending date be later than series 3, perhaps with a note using the EFN template. – DarkGlow • 07:02, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
Vandalism?
Hi. I'm trying to figure out what portion of User talk:174.93.162.142's edits constitute vandalism; it seems to me like a content dispute, and it also seems to me you were edit warring to keep your favored picture in the article. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 15:01, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Jpgordon: Hello. The IP was removing a category, adding a "controversies" section (advised against per WP:CSECTION), adding unsourced and slanderous information onto a BLP here and changing the picture without prior discussion. Changing the image is certainly a content change, but repetitively doing it without discussion is disruptive editing, especially with everything else. Unblock at your own risk... – DarkGlow • 15:07, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- What risk would that be? The BLP thing suffices, I hadn't noticed that one. One shouldn't edit war over disagreements about what picture to use, certainly. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 15:16, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'm happy to have a discussion on the BLP's talk page as to what image to use. Changing it to old images without discussion is disruptive editing. They were given four warnings and still didn't stop, so nobody can AGF for their edits. A 72 hour block is less than what they deserve. – DarkGlow • 15:20, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Scarlett Moon
Hi since EastEnders has finally confirmed Janine is back it has also been announced scarlett is back to should I change Scarlett's page.
It's said in this source: https://www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv-radio/1449734/why-is-Janine-butcher-returning-to-eastenders-Charlie-brooks-bbc Adavid299 (talk) 18:26, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: The Daily Express is a considered an unreliable source, so if there are any other articles that confirm her return, add those. As you know, I would usually always do it myself but I haven't got time tonight. Sorry! – DarkGlow • 22:46, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
Gogglebox episodes issue
Celebrity Gogglebox Issues
Hi, I have updated the list of googlebox episodes page, and there seems to be a problem! Please try and resolve this as Im sure I have entered everything correctly... Please also check out the generic main article page for gogglebox, as it seems that the entire episode list has appeared when it should only be the series overview. Please help and fix! Thank you so much Juliatns7 (talk) 18:17, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

Enquires from Blackazz968
Hi DarkGlow, I hope you are well. When you get the chance, please could you add the following characters to the list of coronation Street characters 2021? I have tried doing it but seem to be having some trouble. You could also add citations/improve the information I have given so far. Many thanks
! scope="row" | Heavy | 30 April - 3 May | Steven Blades | A heavy of Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) who Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett) orders to go to Weatherfield General Hospital to find Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) in order to stop Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) from testifying against Harvey in court. When the plan fails, Sharon goes to see Carla Connor (Alison King) and manages to retrieve the address of Simon and Leanne’s hiding place, and then orders the Heavy to go there, but is shocked to find that they have moved into a different hiding place.
! scope="row" | Robbie | 21 May - 1 June | Rick S. Carr | A friend of Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) who Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett) orders to kidnap Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) so that he can Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) to stop Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) from testifying against Harvey in court by telling him that if they do, Sam will be kidnapped again and won’t be returning. When Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) finds out that Sharon was involved in Harvey’s gang, she tells Rita Sullivan (Barbara Knox) everything which is when Sharon attempts to make her getaway in the back of Robbie’s van. They are interrupted by Gary Windass (Mikey North) who steals the keys to the van and is then cornered by Robbie who attempts to shoot him. He fails after Sam hits him around the head with his telescope case. Blackazz968 (talk) 10:52, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

Hi, hope you are well, would just like to say thank you for setting Daisy Midgley up with her own Wikipedia page instead of her just being on list. Can I ask, what determines whether a character should have their own article or that they should just be on a list? Many thanks Blackazz968 (talk) 17:07, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackazz968: It's ok! Daisy is my favourite Corrie character so that led to me wanting to make her a standalone article. I've made numerous standalone character articles for the other soaps, but Daisy was my first Corrie one! The criteria for a character having a standalone article rather than a list entry is having a lot of real-world development info (interviews, reviews on the character, casting info). As you know, a character has to have development info to even have a section (otherwise they get bunched in the "other characters" section), but once it gets to a point where there is a lot of info, I make it a standalone article. I'm working on a page for Meena Jutla at the moment, but I'm interested in having articles for Nina Lucas and Alina Pop too, as I imagine there is a lot of information out there for them. Let me know if you have any queries! – DarkGlow • 17:15, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
That is good to know, if you can, can you consider one for Debbie Webster, Sharon Gaskell, Johnny Connor and Ronnie Bailey? If not, never mind. Also, the other day, I updated Craig tinkers address to 18a Victoria Street but when I did it, an error occurred and a lot of other edits which I didn’t make went along with it. Some guy changed it back and said that it was unhelpful editing and put the address back to 19a Victoria Street which doesn’t live in anymore. If you get the chance please could you have a look and see what happened. I believe it is on the 2011 characters page. Thanks Blackazz968 (talk) 17:42, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackazz968: Debbie and Sharon are certainly options. Ronnie is a bit too new atm. I'll be honest, I cannot stand Johnny so I won't do that lol. – DarkGlow • 18:21, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
That’s fine, another one I have thought of is Evelyn. Also, thanks for updating Craig’s address. I don’t know why, but when I did it, this happened 7508–7509 which I did not do. I don’t suppose you know why this was? Thanks Blackazz968 (talk) 20:44, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Blackazz968: The way the episode numbers were laid out probably looked like a phone number to a non-soap editor, hence the removal – I assume they thought you were trying to add a phone number? – DarkGlow • 22:56, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
No I wasn’t. All I tried to do was put in ‘18a Victoria Street’ (for Craig Tinker’s address) and when I did it, it looked like all these phone numbers had been added which I never did. I did think it looked like a phone number but it was just a mistake. If you look at my edit where I have spelt the word address wrong in the edit summary, maybe you could see how it happened. Thanks Blackazz968 (talk) 08:48, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
Sorry I spelt the word address wrong in another article I got confused, I believe it is the one with no summary Blackazz968 (talk) 08:57, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
Hi DarkGlow, hope you are well, this user was formerly Blackazz968 now BethandKirk65. I just want to let you know that the issue i was having the other day with the episode numbers has now been clarified with me, when I was editing, it turned the episode numbers into phone numbers (which I didn’t actually do myself it must have been an error, but oh well, at least I now know!) also, I was wondering if you could tell me how I can make stand-alone articles on Wikipedia, if my account can do this. I hope the ones you were considering are going okay! Kind Regards, BethandKirk65 BethandKirk65 (talk) 18:38, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- @BethandKirk65: Hey, my advice would to be start a draft here. A draft is probably the best way to make your first article since you can edit it gradually without it being nominated for deletion. You'll need to add casting, characterisation, development, reception etc etc and source all of it. Once it's done, there's a took to submit it to AfC. I'm on the AfC committee so I can review it when you submit. – DarkGlow • 11:47, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
Thank you very much BethandKirk65 (talk) 22:52, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
Hi, has harvey left coronation street now? I know sharon has since a source confirmed it but cannot find one for harvey? Thanks BethandKirk65 (talk) 20:35, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
Ah, thanks! May I also ask, Harvey’s sentence has not been confirmed yet since the judge said something else about keeping him on remand or something. Do you know when his sentencing will be or if we even see it now he’s left? Also, after Leanne gave evidence, ds Glynn said Simon wouldn’t give evidence since something new came to light. Was this Simon dealing drugs which Leanne didn’t originally tell ds Glynn it was it Sharon giving evidence at the last minute ? Many thanks BethandKirk65 (talk) 21:19, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
- @BethandKirk65: Unsure about both questions tbh, I'm lucky if I can pay attention to Corrie for 5 minutes without going on my phone these days lol. Sorry! – DarkGlow • 22:52, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
That’s okay lol! BethandKirk65 (talk) 10:34, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
Hello there, I have just been adding some ‘other characters’ to the list of coronation Street characters 2021 and it has unfortunately gone horribly wrong. Please could you correct the format when you get the chance. Many thanks BethandKirk65 (talk) 23:33, 27 June 2021 (UTC)

Sandbox
Hi just need to ask about my sandbox since you have one. I added my sandbox on my wishlist as a permanent thing to keep on there and when I don't edit or anything on there for a while it disappears even though I haven't den deleted it either. Could you help please?
Thanks Adavid299 (talk) 15:48, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: That's odd. When you click watch, have you selected "permanently" from the dropdown menu? If that still doesn't work, I'd advise contacting Wikipedia directly as it may be some form of issue with your account. I find the best way to find my sandboxes is by adding a link to them on my user page, as it's just the quickest way for navigation. – DarkGlow • 19:45, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
A message from Jordan2k19
Hi, I really want to add to the Emmerdale Wikipedia for characters, but I have gotten most information from Emmerdale fandom. Is it possible if I could still continue using information from Emmerdale fandom, but then changing the wordings, so they won't have to be referenced? Jordan2k19 (talk) 19:29, 27 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Jordan2k19: I appreciate that you want to add to Wikipedia, especially the Emmerdale wikipedia as it isn't so active nowadays. However, everything on Wikipedia needs to be reliably sourced. See WP:SOURCING for help on that. For now, while you are working on the article (I can help too), I'm going to turn it into a draft so another editor does not remove it for being unsourced. Feel free to ask me any questions. – DarkGlow • 19:33, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

Cal Knight (Casualty)
SInce cal is appearing in tonight's episode to after the episode do we just leave his last appearance incase he appears in further episodes or do we add it and if it is revealed he is still appearing just take it off again? As I thought he was only appearing in last week's episode. Adavid299 (talk) 20:08, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: I'd add it as last week's episode just to be safe, since we don't have confirmation of further appearances. If it's wrong, we can always just amend it – DarkGlow • 15:49, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

Gogglebox cast members – deaths section
Hi @DarkGlow:, I've restored the section of deaths to the Gogglebox cast members page. If you don't believe the section adds anything, then please take it to the respective talk page. This is not a WP:Fancruft issue. Their deaths have been widely reported across all major news organisations in the U.K., including BBC News articles on their main section. I would argue that it doesn't fit in the main Gogglebox article because the personals of cast members are not mentioned at all there. Interested to hear your thoughts. Cheers! --Jkaharper (talk) 12:00, 27 August 2021 (UTC)

Hey, I added to your closure here to note it had been withdrawn. It might seem like an (ironically) academic distinction but a same-day ("speedy") non-admin closure should be really clear where possible, especially where you (as nominator and "involved" closer) haven't specifically indicated you were withdrawing it. Sean Slater
Hi just making sure that I've done the right thing. Someone edited Sean Slater about him coming back this year but they used the mirror as a reliable source but I've reverted the lot as well don't use newspapers as reliable enough of a source. So I've reverted until we can find a source that is reliable enough. Was this right thing to do? Adavid299 (talk) 08:20, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: Just seen this as I'm at work – the reports and articles are all based on some photos being published by the deprecated WP:DAILYSTAR, so it's all unreliable, regardless of how reliable the source itself is (eg if BBC News reported it but stated it's based on the Daily Star, it'd be unreliable). Hope this helps! – DarkGlow • 12:45, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

New Page Patrol newsletter September 2021
Hello Meena,
Please join this discussion - there is increase in the abuse of Wikipedia and its processes by POV pushers, Paid Editors, and by holders of various user rights including Autopatrolled. Even our review systems themselves at AfC and NPR have been infiltrated. The good news is that detection is improving, but the downside is that it creates the need for a huge clean up - which of course adds to backlogs.
Copyright violations are also a serious issue. Most non-regular contributors do not understand why, and most of our Reviewers are not experts on copyright law - and can't be expected to be, but there is excellent, easy-to-follow advice on COPYVIO detection here.
At the time of the last newsletter (#25, December 2020) the backlog was only just over 2,000 articles. New Page Review is an official system. It's the only firewall against the inclusion of new, improper pages.
There are currently 706 New Page Reviewers plus a further 1,080 admins, but as much as nearly 90% of the patrolling is still being done by around only the 20 or so most regular patrollers.
If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process or its software.
Various awards are due to be allocated by the end of the year and barnstars are overdue. If you would like to manage this, please let us know. Indeed, if you are interested in coordinating NPR, it does not involve much time and the tasks are described here.

- @IJBall: Added to watchlist. I've never done edits on the Waterloo universe but I've seen the series so I don't mind helping out (much more of an Ackley fan myself though)! – DarkGlow • 16:56, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

I think we should start creating the Series 14 Dancing on Ice page now as the 1st celeb will be revealed on Monday on This Morning. --Annamargarita0 (talk) 11:37, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
- The draft you recently submitted hadn't been improved at all since I draftified it, so I disagree. It's WP:TOOSOON. When the celebrities begin to be announced, add them to the draft with sourcing. I also advise adding sources for the statements in the lead. – DarkGlow • 11:41, 1 October 2021 (UTC)

Sock
Hey, I just noticed that User:WikiFlame50 got a visit from that sock that was bothering User:Annamargarita0 [4] and they have created the article as requested. Since you're more familiar with the sock and their behaviour, I was wondering if you could take a look? Can the article be speedy deleted (G5) even though it was created by a blocked editor using a proxy? - JuneGloom07 Talk 02:10, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- @JuneGloom07: Thanks for informing me! I've reported the IP and nominated the page for deletion. The same happened with Liberty Poole which was deleted, so it should be eligible. – DarkGlow • 09:02, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
Meena Jutla
Thank you for letting me know. And thank you aswell for creating Paige Sandhu’s Wikipedia page. Blanchey (talk) 20:33, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: That's ok! It's not a widely known fact due to not being mentioned onscreen; I'd love if they explored her backstory in some format, I love her. And I've been wanting to create Paige's article for a while and her Inside Soap win motivated me to finally create it. – DarkGlow • 20:36, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
So do I. Paige plays her brilliantly and yes I would love to see a backstory episode too. Have a great evening DarkGlow. Blanchey (talk) 20:39, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
I'm a Celebrity cancelled episodes
Hi someone changed the table for this year's I'm a Celebrity but I thought if I reverted it back to saying TBA as they may still show this weekend's episodes when they can start filming again. Hope this is ok to do and understandable. Adavid299 (talk) 16:44, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: Yes, I agree with that – it should have been there from the start really, since I don't believe the episode count nor the finale date were ever confirmed by ITV. – DarkGlow • 17:13, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
Eastenders characters
Things are starting to heat up. A whole bunch of IPs keep reverting my edits regards to Adam Woodyatt and Eastenders. No valid sources have stated he’s 100% gone. On IAC he also never stated that, only that they needed him to take a break and that the break got longer. I think the page needs to be protected but nobody is even reading the talkpages. I really don’t want any edit wars outbreaking. WikiFlame50 (talk) 16:43, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- @WikiFlame50: In order to get the page protected, put in a request at WP:RPP – I've put one in. I've always agreed that Ian has left but is set to return, so he belongs in the returning characters section. I'm sick of the constant reverting of vandalism, so let's hope an admin protects the page. – DarkGlow • 16:52, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
I sincerely hope so too. Woodyatt only stated his break got longer. WikiFlame50 (talk) 17:09, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
The only facts there are is that Woodyatt did leave, but only on a break which doesn’t count as a permanent absence. But he’s never said he’s 100% gone. Let’s just hope somebody deals with it. WikiFlame50 (talk) 17:13, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
Moira Barton & Beth Tinker
Hi DarkGlow, I hope you are well. I would like to let you know that Moira Barton from Emmerdale and Beth Tinker from Coronation Street are still named as Barton & Tinker on Wikipedia, although both characters have been credited as Dingle & Sutherland for longer now. Does this mean that their articles can be renamed? If so, how do I do it, many thanks Blanchey (talk) 12:07, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: It comes down to their common name. I'd argue that Beth is still more commonly known as Tinker, so I wouldn't agree with a move to Sutherland. However, I'd say Moira could potentially be moved to Dingle. To request a move, take a look here. Hope this helps! – DarkGlow • 12:22, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

- @JuneGloom07: Thank you! That's a really great source, I'll make sure to use that for the page. In the scarce amount of times I've used the Free Library, I've never found anything great like that – how do you do it lol? – DarkGlow • 20:19, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
- I actually found that article by accident. I was reading another story when I noticed the headline. I do tend to find a lot of stuff when I'm not actually looking for it on TFL. - JuneGloom07 Talk 04:21, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

- @JuneGloom07: Nope, not got any plans for a Dawn article! I have so much less time to create articles now :( Looking forward to seeing your Dawn page. – DarkGlow • 19:42, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
EastEnders 30 mins episodes return

- @Adavid299: I'll add the info to the article today, but not to the lead – in the grand scheme of the show's history, I don't think it'd lead worthy. – DarkGlow • 15:57, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

- @Adavid299: I got the page protected due to an edit war regarding Ian Beale – they made it admin-protected so only admins can edit the page; I've already put in a request for it to be updated though, so hopefully it should be amended soon. – DarkGlow • 21:12, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

Problem
Good evening, I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Earlier, I was trying to edit this page https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_Emmerdale_characters but unfortunately I couldn’t do it right. Someone tried to fix but they also had no luck. If you get the chance, please can you have a look and see if you can fix it? I was trying to add Theo Metcalfe’s new actor (Beau-Ronnie Newton) thank you Blanchey Blanchey (talk) 18:44, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Done; I added Dexter as a former actor for Carl too. – DarkGlow • 19:23, 30 December 2021 (UTC)

Cyberbullying
Dark, how do I deal with cyberbullying users? ConnorGuy99 keeps accusing me of vandalism when I’m clearly not one of them and he always uses hate speech towards me and he wants me banned when he should be for his behaviour! How do I deal with these kinds of people? WikiFlame50 (talk) 14:30, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
I’m sick and tired of how he behaves towards me. He’s always rude towards me and loves to accuse me. I’m not a vandal right? WikiFlame50 (talk) 14:36, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
I really need help. I don’t know what to do. WikiFlame50 (talk) 14:39, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- @WikiFlame50: Read this policy for information about personal attacks. My advice (and the advice of the policy) would be to ignore it. Don't risk yourself getting blocked for the sake of arguing, especially when the claim of you being a vandal is untrue. Don't waste your time replying. If you feel it escalate in future, you can report it on the incident noticeboard, but I don't think we're at that level yet. – DarkGlow • 15:18, 31 December 2021 (UTC)

Hi DarkGlow, happy new year to you! I hope you are well. I have just seen the argument that you and some anonymous user was having. Thank you for tweaking the article, hopefully they will stop now, I think you sorted it and I like what you have done. And don’t let this person get you down, because they don’t even have an account to sort this on using talk page, instead just cause an edit war on the article. And they didn’t need to shout either. Hope you have a lovely evening, Blanchey Blanchey (talk) 20:39, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Thanks for the kind message, happy new year to you too! I can understand how the prior lead would be confusing since it hasn't been mentioned onscreen, so hopefully the rewrite is more understandable. I now need to update the page anyway to include Ben's murder, holding Manpreet hostage and her upcoming "bloodbath" so that should be fun lol. – DarkGlow • 20:48, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
I think it will be brilliant. Have a lovely evening Blanchey (talk) 20:49, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
Good Evening, unfortunately, I was wrong. Paige Sandhu has confirmed that Meena will be departing soon. This source confirms it. https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/emmerdale-meena-actress-miss-everything-25864300 I’ve been trying to add it onto the page but I am struggling. It is quite sad really, despite the fact that she is a psychotic serial killer, I find she is an incredibly likeable person so she will be missed by me. Have a good evening. Blanchey (talk) 21:08, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Oh I'm gutted :( I love Meena! I knew she'd be leaving this year but having it in print makes it all the sadder. I'll add it to the article. – DarkGlow • 21:14, 5 January 2022 (UTC)

Episode 5675
Hi DarkGlow! Do you have any plans on when you will begin actioning the feedback I've left at Talk:Episode 5675/GA1? I'm afraid that if you cannot manage this shortly, I'll have to fail the GA nomination and it can be renominated when the concerns are addressed. — Bilorv (talk) 19:14, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Bilorv: Apologies, I forgot! Re the Metro point, it's a common practice in the soap WikiProject to use their site as the soaps team for Metro has a full editorial team who get all of their information from the soaps themselves – so it's argued that the info is reliable. I've got quite a few soap GAs which use Metro for that justification; what do you think? – DarkGlow • 19:44, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Do you mind copying this point about Metro over to the review page and I'll reply there (just useful to keep it in one place in case anyone ever looks back at the review)? I'll have to have a think and read around a bit more. In the meantime there should still be some other actionable comments. — Bilorv (talk) 20:37, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

Question about Ryan-Mark Parsons
Hello DarkGlow. I've seen your recommendations for Ryan-Mark Parsons; I'm keen to improve the article. It's currently rated a 'Start Class' and I've always sought to achieve a higher grading, as with every article I edit. I'm learning everyday as I edit on here, and like you, I'm particularly interested in UK reality TV. You noted there are too many headers and quotations - what's the best way to reduce those without limiting the quality of the article and affect it from gaining a higher grading?
I also wanted to make very clear, I have no connection with any of the subjects I edit on Wikipedia. I have worked on the page for a while with the aim to improve its grading, but I would never dream of editing the page if I had any connection with the subject whatsoever. I believe my wording is totally neutral, however if there's anything I can improve to make it seem more balanced, please let me know too. With your permission, I would appreciate removing this notice from the page?
I've taken to Wikipedia with a great passion and would love to learn from you ways in which I can improve upon my editing, especially pages I've edited for a while now. You seem to have great wisdom and experience on this platform and I'd appreciate any advice. JPA24 (talk) 15:22, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
- @JPA24: If you say you're not connected to him then I'll take your word for it and you can remove the COI tag. With the subheadings, I'd advise to list the events of his life chronologically. For example, subheadings heading could be "2019–2020: The Apprentice and further media appearances" or "2021–present: Panelist appearances and newspaper columns" – just whatever is a significant event of that time period. That's how BLP articles tend to lay out their events when there is a lot of info. Hope that somewhat helps and good luck with the article! – DarkGlow • 09:26, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
- @DarkGlow: Hello again. Thanks for the advice. I'm going to work on the feedback and continue to improve the page and others across Wikipedia. Thanks for the tips! JPA24 (talk) 22:50, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
Prod on Manchester Slingback
Hi, I removed your proposed deletion on Manchester Slingback and instead blanked the article and redirected it to the author. The little information in the book stub was already in the author's article. I agree with you about the lack of notability, but no harm in having a redirect on the book title. Happy editing! Departing order on coronation street former characters
On the former characters list on Emmerdale and Eastenders, the years go from 1970s/1980s etc up to this present year from bottom to top, and the characters listed that have departed in each years are in the wrong order too, is that going to be fixed? WikiFlame50 (talk) 17:15, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- @WikiFlame50: Yeah, I'm going to fix those in time because they should all be consistent. It's basically just reordering the tables from bottom to top so it's not a mega quick job but I can hopefully do it within the next week. I'm working on the Hollyoaks list at the moment and am removing non-notable characters from the list as I go along. – DarkGlow • 17:17, 15 February 2022 (UTC)

Good morning, Thank your for updating the list of former coronation street characters list into the format of chronological order and not alphabetical like every other soap, it’s really good and easier now. I also wanted to ask a question about Curtis Delamere, he hasn’t appeared for weeks now and after the episode broadcast on 31 December 2021, it is unlikely that he will reappear, and I’m sure I saw somewhere that he quit. Do you think I should update his section on the 2021 characters article or not? Same goes for his father Neville. Thanks Blanchey (talk) 10:07, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Yeah, I'd say so. His exit seemed final and especially with the departure of Emma, he'll have no other links on the show so it makes sense. Perhaps she'll leave with him and he'll reappear for a final scene, but in that case, we can just update his final appearance later down the line. – DarkGlow • 10:47, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know, have a great day! Blanchey (talk) 10:55, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
Good evening, I’d like to ask if you would agree that gavin played by Ben Richards has left Emmerdale now, I haven’t found any official sources confirming this but an instagram post uploaded by Richards suggests that he has left, what are your thoughts on this? Blanchey (talk) 22:28, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Hey – I've just checked and yeah, the post confirms his exit. Go ahead and update the pages if you want. – DarkGlow • 22:30, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

A message from Mintyclouds
Hey! I changed my addition to the Olivia O'Brien page after your redaction. My revised version included her romantic ties to Logan Paul as it is something she confirmed in an interview that I cited (primary source) and it is related directly to a popular song she wrote (relevant to her artistry). I referenced the pages of similarly classified persons (singer-songwriters) Rihanna and Taylor Swift and noted that their relationships both past and present are listed there, especially those that are well known in popular media or those that inspired particular songs or albums.
If you could expand on your thoughts/reasoning for removing my revised edit I would greatly appreciate it. Also, please let me know if I am posting this message in the correct location. I wasn't sure if I should add it to the other thread of Olivia O'Brien discourse that is archived on your talk page. Cheers :) --Ruby Clark (talk) 21:27, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Mintyclouds: Hey! I wanted to start by saying that my removal was nothing to do with your edit skills – your contributions were well written. I just don't think that Olivia's relationship with Logan is deeply notable/relevant to her career since it wasn't a long-term relationship that received coverage in WP:RS. I think if the relationship was high-profile and closely associated with her, it could be relevant, but I don't think it is? The mention to "Josslyn" being inspired by him could certainly be relevant in an article about the song though? I do think there is scope for an article to be made about the song too. – DarkGlow • 21:48, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
Question about Talk page notices
Good evening DarkGlow, hope you are well. I would like to ask you a question about the notices that I often see left on various ip user talk pages (e.g. ‘Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia’ etc…) I would like to know if the messages that are left are actually written by the user of if they are generic. Also, do you have to be an administrator to add these notices? Thank you Blanchey (talk) 22:04, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Hi, there are different warnings for different guideline violations – eg adding unsourced info, disruptive editing, vandalism, breaking MOS, being abusive to other editors, removing sourced info, etc etc as there are a lot of different ones. Anyone can add the warnings, you just add "subst:warning coding" to their talk page and it writes it out for you. – DarkGlow • 23:02, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for letting me know, I will probably try this out on my sandbox! Have a good evening Blanchey (talk) 23:22, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: My advice (and what I did whilst getting to grips with warnings) is to read the pages of the warnings, eg template:Uw-vandalism1; that will help a lot. Another piece of info is to add 1 if it's their first warning, but if they keep doing it, gradually go up. Once you get to 4 warnings and they continue to vandalise, you can report them and get them blocked for vandalism. If you have any questions then lmk! – DarkGlow • 23:35, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

Eastenders & Emmerdale character list
Good morning DarkGlow, hope you are well. I noticed that on the list of Emmerdale characters and list of eastenders characters pages, there is an image of the soaps’ logo. However, every other soap such as coronation street, doctors and hollyoaks. Does not have a logo on the list of characters article. I think the Emmerdale and eastenders logos should be removed so that they are consistent. Is there anything I would need to do first (like let anyone know I am doing this or start a discussion on the talk page etc…)? Thank you Blanchey (talk) 11:02, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Per this MOS, character lists should have a representative image at the head of the article. With dramas, it's easier to do a photo of the actual cast (like Characters of Ackley Bridge) but with soaps, it can be more difficult, hence the use of logos. I can add logos for the Hollyoaks and Corrie lists, Doctors may be more difficult as there isn't a background-free logo, but I can upload the other two? – DarkGlow • 11:19, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
Brilliant, thanks for your help Blanchey (talk) 11:27, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
Good evening DarkGlow, I hope you are well. I’m currently working on a page for Debbie Webster although, there is still quite a bit of work that needs doing for it to be a good page. We need a photo of the character (I don’t know how to upload photos yet, and about this ‘fair use’ policy) and we could also do with adding development. Would you be interested in having a look if you get the chance? If not, never mind. Hope you have a great evening Blanchey (talk) 19:27, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: I don't mind helping out with a photo and some development, but since it currently does not meet notability guidelines, I may draft it and we can work on it in draftspace instead. A photo would be added after it's accepted back into mainspace. – DarkGlow • 19:34, 18 March 2022 (UTC)

Paige Sandhu
Good evening DarkGlow, I hope you are well. I was reading Paige Sandhu earlier, and in the filmography section, it says that before she appeared in Emmerdale, she had also made guest appearances in Doctors and Endeavour, however, when I clicked on the citation (Metro Soaps), it claimed that Meena was Paige’s first role in acting, and didn’t say anything about Doctors or Endeavour. Do you know what could have happened here, I swear it once said something about the other two programmes, unless it has been edited because it was potentially wrong, after all, we couldn’t actually find out exactly who she played or when in the other two. Either way, I thought I should let you know. Also, she’s great in Emmerdale! Have a good evening Blanchey (talk) 20:45, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: The source stating her appearances in Doctors and Endeavour is this one, which still states it? I personally hold the belief that her appearances in the shows was extra work, eg her walking in the back of a scene, hence her not being credited for them on IMDb. I've scoured the web numerous times searching for her appearances in them (esp since I'm a Doctors fan) but I feel like I'll never find them lol! Imo it still counts as TV appearances and since numerous articles say it, so I'm gonna leave it on the page. – DarkGlow • 21:08, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
Emmerdale 2021
Good evening, I like the new Meena Jutla photo by the way! I noticed a problem on the 2021 Emmerdale characters list. Connor Cooper, a character who appeared very early on last year, also made an appearance on 10 November 2020, however, he is in the 2021 characters article. This is possibly because his nov 20 appearance wasn’t significant enough to warrant him being added to the list of other characters, unlike his 2021 appearances. What should I do now? Do I move it to the list of 2020 characters? I understand that you’re not meant to copy and paste other peoples edits so would it be okay if I credited the author of that paragraph? Many thanks Blanchey (talk) 19:26, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Thank you – I was a fan of her new court pictures so wanted them to go down in history on her Wiki. I've moved Connor; all you have to do with a move of information like that is link which page the info came from so that original writing credit can be found through people clicking the link. – DarkGlow • 21:11, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

Good day, I hope you are well, not too sad about Meena's devastating exit! I noticed that the section about Carol on List of Emmerdale characters (2021) has given her the surname Butler. This of course is correct as the name was actually shown on Manpreet's computer screen, however, for some reason she was only credited as 'Carol'. Is this a problem? I'm not 100% sure but I thought that when adding a character, you have to put the name they are credited as, even if their full name is already known. Or am I confusing it with not assuming characters surnames (like with Frankie for example). I hope you can help, thanks! Blanchey (talk) 13:12, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: I'm still mourning the departure of our princess Meena You're partially right about uncredited surnames – a surname should either be credited or mentioned in a reliable source (eg this confirms her surname is Butler). Hope that helps! – DarkGlow • 14:07, 19 April 2022 (UTC)

Draft:List of Coronation Street characters (2022)
Good day, I think that Jon Spear should be upgraded to a section as he has probably had a lot of development, especially since he was written into Emma Brooker’s departure story and it’s almost May and there still hasn’t been a major character yet, so maybe Jon could be the first. I’ve noticed (you may have too) that Coronation Street seems to have a real issue with introducing new characters but not announcing them first (like with Orla Crawshaw, Clint Stubbins, Lydia Chambers and Marrium Nazir)… what do you think? Hope you’re having a good day! Blanchey (talk) 12:12, 27 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Jon could certainly have a section. Not sure how long it would be and it it could have an infobox but give it a shot if you want! – DarkGlow • 14:17, 27 April 2022 (UTC)
Thanks, I’ve started a section, although it’s gonna need a lot of work before the draft is moved to the main space. One small question, it seems as though I have to option to ‘Move’ pages, although am I actually allowed to do this despite having the ability? Or do I need to be part of the page movers user group? Thanks Blanchey (talk) 16:21, 27 April 2022 (UTC)

The truth
I’ve discovered something dude. Me and Blanchey. The IPs who where coming after me and nonstop harassing me where none other than User: ZestyLemonz. He’s just confessed on Blancheys page. Just thought I’d let you know, he’s said some really bad stuff to us both. WikiFlame50 (talk) 18:07, 6 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi DarkGlow,
I looked at the wikipedia policy link you left on my wikipedia talk page and I realise my mistake. I apologise for any trouble caused, it was a genuine mistake on my part. It won't happen again.

Rebecca Sarker
Good evening DarkGlow, I hope you are well. I wanted to let you know that in back in December, an anonymous user edited Rebecca Sarker and added that she had 2 children. They didn’t provide a source, however nothing has been done about it so is this okay? That’s unless it’s gone unnoticed! I didn’t want to do anything about it since it could cause trouble, and I’m personally unsure about this how many children she has. I was more concerned because this is an article about a living person which Wikipedia has very seriously policies on. Hope you can help! Blanchey (talk) 21:46, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: That was added after this article in December where she talked about her family life – it could've done with a source, but at least it was correct. I've sourced it now and added the Games to her page. – DarkGlow • 22:53, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
Thanks! Good night Blanchey (talk) 23:13, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
Hey DarkGlow, hope you are having a good weekend, I just had a notification saying the page Blanchey has been reviewed. What does this mean? Blanchey (talk) 13:01, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: I'm a new page reviewer, and since your user page was a new page, I reviewed it. It just takes it off the backlog of unreviewed pages. – DarkGlow • 18:39, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
Oh I see, also if you noticed that I often keep creating them then deleting them it’s because I end up making them but end up not liking them. I do have one at the moment and don’t plan on getting rid of this one. I didn’t want anyone thinking I was messing Fastily around, it’s just sometimes I have these ideas and then regret them. I try not to do it so often because I’m sure they may think it’s suspicious, although I mean no harm. Thanks for understanding Blanchey (talk) 18:43, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: If you end up disliking it, you could always just blank it until you're ready to add something else? – DarkGlow • 18:45, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
That sound like a better idea yes, thanks. Blanchey (talk) 18:46, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
List of Emmerdale characters (2022)
Good morning, I hope you are well. For some reason, a user has changed the size of the other characters box apparently so it’s in accordance with the MOS although they haven’t done it to any other articles, what are you thoughts on this? Blanchey (talk) 11:00, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: I have mixed thoughts on the change. I preferred the smaller size and since I have OCD, now it no longer matches the other tables, it's bugging me a little bit. But on the other hand, it makes it more accessible for the visually impaired. I find it inconsistent and lazy for Lil-unique1 to only change that one table, because if they cared about enforcing MOS:SMALLTEXT, they'd have amended every "other characters" table on every soap list. – DarkGlow • 11:08, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- I agree. Maybe then at some point I will go through them all in order of year and do it. That’s unless there is a bot that will do it all at once since this would presumably be a tedious and repetitive edit to make… Blanchey (talk) 11:53, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- Talk about the edits not the user DarkGlow - WP:AGF. I came across the page and found it hard to read so changed the formatting inline with the MOS. I have applied this across all of the pages I edit and come into contact with. I am but one person so forgive me if I don't go around fixing everyone's issues with the MOS on every single page or project. I'm going to assume you genuinely have OCD and it wasn't a flippant comment about generally disliking things all not looking the same. I do take umbrage with being accused about not caring about enforcing MOS:SMALLTEXT or any other accessibility or MOS policies. If you knew anything about my editing history on Wiki, you'll know that couldn't be further from the truth if I tried! If my bold edit caused inconvenience or came across as lazy I do apologise - it wasn't intended to be a drive-by, It didn't even cross my mind more than "that table was heard to read" and that was me accessing the page as reader than with my editor head on... ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 15:03, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Lil-unique1: Yes, I do have diagnosed OCD. I'm not saying you have to go through and change every table into conforming with the MOS, but if I were the editor making that change, I'd have gone through and changed every table. Perhaps I can accredit that trait of needing aesthetic consistency to my OCD lol. – DarkGlow • 17:14, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Lil-unique1: DarkGlow has got a point, I know you mean well by editing the article so that it’s in accordance to the MOS, but in this case where a new addition of this article is created every year, and every single one has this problem, as DarkGlow said, it’s triggering just to update the one you happen to read instead of all of them. Another issue with the other characters box is that in previous years, it has been done with the dates appearing before the characters name, and from some of the very early years, the entire box is white, not gray! I think that this is something that needs to be taken to task force so we can have multiple editors correcting every article, from every soap, making them all the same as each other. What are both your thoughts on this? Blanchey (talk) 17:42, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- Having consistent tables has always been an issue with soap articles. I've made the Doctors tables consistent but I pretty much control the Wiki for that so it's easy for me to have everything consistent over there. It would be good to get a consistent layout on them. – DarkGlow • 18:11, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- I agree. What I would like is to get other soap editors to help me literally tweak every article in order of year consistent with other characters, only adding the actors surname if they appear more than once, and even the former characters list where on Emmerdale it goes 2020s to 1970s like Coronation Street where it goes 1960s to 2020s. I know that there is a task force thing, could I make a request there? Blanchey (talk) 18:16, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- Perhaps we could work on the tables together as a collaborative project. Start a discussion on the talk for WP:EMMERDALE so we have a place to formally discuss it. – DarkGlow • 18:21, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, I’ll do it soon Blanchey (talk) 18:22, 21 May 2022 (UTC)

Heartstopper overview table
Hi heartstopper has been renewed by Netflix for another 2 seasons and I put the table on the wikiapida page. I understand why my edit got reverted when i added season 2 on the table as there is no air date yet but someone called bradford has taken of the whole table off along with season 1 even though it's been aired.
I was hoping you could help and sort the problem out. As I remember if a series has been aired we can keep the table with only series 1 being kept on.
Thanks Adavid299 (talk) 17:09, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: Hi, Bradford is correct in saying that. An overview table should only be added once a second series premieres. – DarkGlow • 17:12, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
New Page Patrol newsletter May 2022
Hello Meena,
At the time of the last newsletter (No.26, September 2021), the backlog was 'only' just over 6,000 articles. In the past six months, the backlog has reached nearly 16,000, a staggering level not seen in several years. A very small number of users had been doing the vast majority of the reviews. Due to "burn-out", we have recently lost most of this effort. Furthermore, several reviewers have been stripped of the user right for abuse of privilege and the articles they patrolled were put back in the queue.
Several discussions on the state of the process have taken place on the talk page, but there has been no action to make any changes. The project also lacks coordination since the "position" is vacant.
In the last 30 days, only 100 reviewers have made more than 8 patrols and only 50 have averaged one review a day. There are currently 806 New Page Reviewers, but about a third have not had any activity in the past month. All 851 administrators have this permission, but only about a dozen significantly contribute to NPP.
This means we have an active pool of about 450 to address the backlog. We cannot rely on a few to do most of the work as that inevitably leads to burnout. A fairly experienced reviewer can usually do a review in a few minutes. If every active reviewer would patrol just one article per day, the backlog would very quickly disappear.
If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, do suggest they help the effort by placing {{subst:NPR invite}}
on their talk page.
If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.
To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself here.

help request for Antonella Salvucci
Good evening from Calabria, I am writing to greet you and to know how you are. I am quite well for now, I am writing to ask you for help regarding a page, the actress Antonella Salvucci, I was wondering if you could give a little fix to the article, I have tried to do the best compared to how disastrously I have it found at the biographical level and in the first part of the incipit, given that I am not of a good level of English, I was wondering if you could help me a little. I saw that you also looked after Giancarlo Giannini and I am grateful to you. Well, what more can I say? Sure of your response and to hear from you, I salute you and thank you. Whenever you need to, you just have to ask and I fly like a rocket.--Luigi Salvatore Vadacchino (talk) 19:24, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
Page moving
Good evening DarkGlow, I hope you are well. I was wondering if you could help me understand something. So I see that there is a user permission ‘page mover’. I am not part of page movers although I still seem to have the ability to. How come this is? Is it a case of me having the ability but not being allowed to use it or is it if you are part of the user group your move will be trusted or something? Thank you! Blanchey (talk) 17:14, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Just about any editor can move a page if the title they want does not have a page on. Eg, you could move EastEnders to EastEnderzzzz since it's a red link, for example. But you wouldn't be able to move it to EastEnderzzzz if that was a blue link rather than red. Does that make sense? If not, feel free to ask more. – DarkGlow • 17:19, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, yes. Although how come some people are part of the group ‘page movers’ what is the difference if you are not? Blanchey (talk) 17:23, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Being a page mover means you've applied and earnt the right to move them. Non-page movers like yourself can move pages but only to a redlink, whereas I and other page movers can move a page onto a blue link. Reading WP:PAGEMOVER will give you more info on it. – DarkGlow • 17:25, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

- Ahh, I see. Thank you. So basically, since you are a page mover, you can overwrite over pages (like when you did with the Meena draft on to Meena Jutla redirect. Blanchey (talk) 17:27, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
Hi, I just added a citation to David Metcalfe although I couldn’t fill it out because it was in an info box, how do I visually add a fully filled citation to an info box? Blanchey (talk) 19:10, 25 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi, I see that you have deleted the 'Ballum' mention in Max Bowden's career section. Just for your information, I did not put it there. It was already there.
For the theatre plays that Max Bowden has been part of, were they deleted by you because of the external links? Can I add the theatre plays again, without the links then?
Thank you. Icla Icla (talk) 12:43, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Icla: The article's history shows clearly here that you added the Ballum info. And yes, you can re-add a venue column if the theatres don't have external links. Some of them will probably have a Wikipedia article so link that instead. – DarkGlow • 12:57, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you. Sorry, the Ballum mention was in the career section for Tony Clay and that is the one I didn't add. I saw it there and added it for Max Bowden too. Sorry for the mixup. Guess it has to be deleted from Tony Clay's career section too then.
- Thank you for the theatre link info. I will add the venue column again. I am not sure how to add wikipedia article links yet, but I'll figure it out. Icla (talk) 14:26, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

A message from TrimmerinWiki
Hi DarkGlow, I recently received a message / email letting me know that you had reviewed an article that I created John Fell (industrialist). The review process, at least for the articles with which I have been involved, produces such inconsistent outcomes that I don't take a lot of notice of the review ratings in any case. However, I am fascinated to understand why someone with your areas of subject matter interest is reviewing an article about an oil industry pioneer of the early C20th in Australia. I am not saying that you don't have the right to do so, just genuinely interested in your motivation.TrimmerinWiki (talk) 23:02, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- @TrimmerinWiki: I'm part of the new page reviewers group, which means I review any new article on here; almost every reviewer picks articles regardless of the subject or content. Not being familiar with the content does not affect my ability to review the article in terms of quality, sourcing, grammar, etc. And btw, I downgraded your article from a C to Start-class as I found unreferenced claims on the article, which means it does not meet C per WP:ASSESS. – DarkGlow • 12:43, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

On the article: Lola Pearce. I did reference using an article in Metro. Is that not a reliable source? I thought it was. Moondragon21 (talk) 17:49, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Moondragon21: The article you used cites the Sun as a source. They have no confirmation themselves from the BBC, so it still violates WP:THESUN. – DarkGlow • 18:14, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
Residences
Hello DarkGlow, would you like me to remove as many residences from coronation street and emmerdale characters as possible since it was something you suggested a few days ago (and most of those were added my me)? Blanchey (talk) 10:55, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: I wouldn't worry about doing it as a huge priority task. I've been gradually removing them as I edit articles for other reasons - Doctors articles for example, when I do an article improvement, I remove it as part of a larger edit. If the parameters are deprecated then it won't appear on the infobox at all so it's not a huge worry. Just do it when you notice one. Hope you're well btw! – DarkGlow • 10:59, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know! And hope you are well too Blanchey (talk) 11:00, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Something I'm gradually working on (and could use help with) is the improvement of Emmerdale stub articles, especially the unsourced ones. I put it on the task list over at WP:EMMERDALE put it's pretty much just me doing all the work on there nowadays. – DarkGlow • 11:02, 10 June 2022 (UTC)

Daisy Campbell
Hey DarkGlow, I’m considering starting a draft for Daisy Campbell, although the problem is, there already is a notable person called Daisy Campbell and funnily enough they are also an actress. In this case, what would the article be namesd? ('Daisy Campbell (Emmerdale actress)' for example) also, since this would be a BLP do I have to go about creating this draft in a slightly different way? Eg. Making sure that it’s allowed on Wikipedia etc… Thanks Blanchey (talk) 20:45, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: That's one of the (many) articles I have on a mental list to create at some point, especially now I've met her so I have a photo to motivate me. Since they're both British actresses, the title would now become "Daisy Campbell (actress, born 2003)" – similar case to Peyton List (actress, born 1998). – DarkGlow • 20:49, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

Hey, just wanted to give you a heads up that I'll probably undo the redirect on the Nick Bates article in the coming weeks, as there's a fair bit of info for him in the books, magazines and newspaper archives. I think I can establish notability at least. - JuneGloom07 Talk 01:59, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
- @JuneGloom07: I'm happy an article can be done for him, as I put in the summary, I was very surprised to find minimal content for him considering his lengthy tenure and family status. Even Google Books was so use to me, so looking forward to seeing what's out there and let me know if I can help with anything? – DarkGlow • 09:35, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
Paige Sandhu
Good morning, hope you are well. I’ve just noticed that someone has edited Paige’s article since they have found her role in endeavour, they said that the role was Cashier. I watched the episode on the itv hub and saw her in it, although PS was not credited and there was not a character known as ‘Cashier’ credited either, so should the article say uncredited in role section? Many thanks Blanchey (talk) 09:01, 19 June 2022 (UTC)

I made some requested edits to the draft for the animated children’s show Moley on Boomerang just over a month ago, including updated sources and the addition of categories, but haven’t seen further action on the page just yet. Apologies if per-article update prompts are frowned upon or if I’m being impatient with the review process, but I’d love to know where your mind is at with this draft, if only to quell my fears that I’ve overlooked something else I need to do to get final sign-off and publication of the article! Hugely grateful.

Sam Mitchell page
Hi, is it possible if you can enforce a rule or restriction to minimise the removing of storylines and details in Sam’s storyline section as I think it has been trimmed and is perfectly balanced now. Yet, if I am mistaken please ignore. Thanks. MrBranning2006 (talk) 00:21, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- @MrBranning2006: There's not a guideline or rule which protects the storyline information as the less plot on Wikipedia, the better. I agree that the current size of Sam's storyline section is decent since I trimmed it, but there's nothing that can be put in place to trim it further. – DarkGlow • 21:21, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi, I think your going to have to put a restriction on Sam’s article because anonymous editors keep putting back unnecessary information into her storyline information and its getting tiring removing them. Thanks. MrBranning2006 (talk) 10:09, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
- I just checked and you haven't removed a single IP edit? I've been keeping an eye on every change made to the page and almost all of the changes are okay; if it gets bad then I'll warn the IP editor involved and they could get blocked. – DarkGlow • 10:14, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

Coronation Street episodes
Hey DarkGlow, I hope you are well. Following the recent change to the coronation Street episode count I did some research and found this YouTube video which features content broadcast in yesterday’s episode. It was uploaded by the official channel and in the description, it says ‘From episode 10677 broadcast on 29/06/22’ so I think they are still counting the 1 hour episodes as two. What will this mean on Wikipedia, many thanks. Blanchey 💬 • 📝 21:10, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Ah, that's very interesting and a good find! Glad we finally have a source to confirm the ep count. – DarkGlow • 22:12, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- I agree! Have a good evening Blanchey 💬 • 📝 23:01, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- Another thing I’d like to suggest (and this is on all soap articles) is that when the episode count is updated, the date it was last updated (the bit that says ‘As of 29 June’ is on show for all readers. At the moment it’s commented out in the source although most readers won’t be looking in the source and it will be helpful for them to know when it was last updated. Is there somewhere I can suggest this so it can be added to the soaps manual of style? Many thanks Blanchey 💬 • 📝 11:03, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: A date shouldn't be shown per the television WikiProject rules; it should only be the episode count and an optional source if the count is argued about. – Meena • 11:06, 1 July 2022 (UTC)

Appeal on the removal of unsourced material
Hello @Meena. You have recently deleted some content in this article due to lack of sources. With your permission, I am re-adding those contents along with the source. If there is still a problem, let me know. Thank you very much. Bestbiowriter (talk) 10:21, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

- @Meena: I have a question.
- In Wikipedia, I have seen many times in the "External links" section, links to Instagram and other social networks of people are attached.
- Is this legal?
- Does that mean I can add his social networks to the article? Bestbiowriter (talk) 10:26, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Bestbiowriter: Social media links should not be in the external links section. It's generally reserved for official websites; WP:ELNO should help you out with more info. – Meena • 10:38, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

Second guessing my decision to return
Hello, I’d commend your work on Wikipedia but my first exposure to yours was your deletion tags on my talk page. You write about soap operas, some of which are not well-known, and I write about locations that may not be well-known to you. Yet you apparently are a better judge of notability, and the fact that you wrote about British trivia didn’t stop you from actually researching Dutch topics before tagging the articles for deletion. This experience makes me reevaluate my decision to return to Wikipedia so bravo GusChago (talk) 18:54, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
Jon Spear
Hey Meena, I hope you are well! I wanted to let you know that the references for Jon Spear on List of Coronation Street characters (2022) says Silver, John Silver for the name, although I’m not sure since the instagram post was posted by Jordan Ford Silver. Was this just a mistake, or was it done like this for a reason? I wasn’t sure where to put the name Ford other since I don’t know if it is part of their surname or if it’s a middle name (like Jack P. Shepherd) for example. Thanks! Blanchey 💬 • 📝 21:08, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

Other characters
Hi, last year on the coronation Street 2021 article I added a load of other characters. However, a lot of the characters are not very notable, probably only appeared in one episode and are not sourced either. It was when I was new and thought you literally had to add every single character that appeared. 🤦♂️ Although that is not the case. It is more for characters who played quite a significant part, although weren’t quite notable enough to have their own section (like the headteacher Orla Crawshaw as she has played quite a significant part although doesn’t have enough development etc). For example, there is a character on the list called ‘Tonya’ who if you remember that far back was a therapist for Fiz and Tyrone. Only appears in one episode and the actor isn’t even notable enough for Wikipedia. Same goes for all the court characters for Harvey’s trial last year too. Would it be okay if I had these characters taken off or should they stay anyway? If I was taking them off it would remove unsourced info from the article. What are your thoughts? Thanks! - Courtesy ping for @JuneGloom07 Blanchey 💬 • 📝 16:28, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- There's not really a notability guideline for other characters – if you can source the actor, that would be better than removal as it would improve the page. If you think that many "other characters" is a lot, try this haha! – Meena • 16:34, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- Wow! Okay, I’ll see what I can do. It would be good if I had sources for the court characters like we did with Meena’s… Blanchey 💬 • 📝 17:06, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

- All guest/recurring characters that appear should be included in the table (if they don't have development info). If you can't find an online source for the actor, then you can use cite episode. - JuneGloom07 Talk 19:47, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

Cardiacs band members
I thank you for reviewing the page I created on the Cardiacs band members. However, the refimprove
tag doesn't point out any specific part of the article in need of additional citations. I'm pretty sure everything on the page can be verified either from the reference list or the respective pages for the releases that the members played on. If not, it's easy to infer that album credits are sourced from liner notes anyway, and it would be clunky to have a reference following every note on the table of members, risking Citation overkill.
Miklogfeather (talk) 17:10, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Miklogfeather: Hello – the one part I was dubious of was the durations. Are these sourced? – Meena • 10:28, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- Many are sourced in the lead and dates that members joined and left are also adapted from [20]. Miklogfeather (talk) 19:52, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
EastEnders characters
On the EastEnders character list I am trying to add a note to the cast changes section but when I do it, it ends up hiding information. The note I am trying to add can be found on the coronation street characters article. How can this be fixed? Thanks! Blanchey 💬 • 📝 15:48, 16 July 2022 (UTC)

- Good evening, I just wanted to let you know that the reason my archiving bot archived discussions to a new page was because when I copied your bot template that time, it took all of your settings since you are in your second archive! I moved them to the correct one and it seems as though when an archive is full, the bot changes the 'counter' number (from 1 to 2 for example). I changed my bot settings to defaults to help me out since I have always (including off Wikipedia) have liked to use default settings websites provide as I like to believe that it has been put like this as it’s in the users best interest. I’m glad I sorted that, I hope you have a good evening 😊 Blanchey 💬 • 📝 21:47, 21 July 2022 (UTC)

New Page Patrol newsletter August 2022
Hello Meena,
- Backlog status
After the last newsletter (No.28, June 2022), the backlog declined another 1,000 to 13,000 in the last week of June. Then the July backlog drive began, during which 9,900 articles were reviewed and the backlog fell by 4,500 to just under 8,500 (these numbers illustrate how many new articles regularly flow into the queue). Thanks go to the coordinators Buidhe and Zippybonzo, as well as all the nearly 100 participants. Congratulations to Dr vulpes who led with 880 points. See this page for further details.
Unfortunately, most of the decline happened in the first half of the month, and the backlog has already risen to 9,600. Understandably, it seems many backlog drive participants are taking a break from reviewing and unfortunately, we are not even keeping up with the inflow let alone driving it lower. We need the other 600 reviewers to do more! Please try to do at least one a day.
- Coordination
- MB and Novem Linguae have taken on some of the coordination tasks. Please let them know if you are interested in helping out. MPGuy2824 will be handling recognition, and will be retroactively awarding the annual barnstars that have not been issued for a few years.
- Open letter to the WMF
- The Page Curation software needs urgent attention. There are dozens of bug fixes and enhancements that are stalled (listed at Suggested improvements). We have written a letter to be sent to the WMF and we encourage as many patrollers as possible to sign it here. We are also in negotiation with the Board of Trustees to press for assistance. Better software will make the active reviewers we have more productive.
- TIP - Reviewing by subject
- Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages by their most familiar subjects can do so from the regularly updated sorted topic list.
- New reviewers
- The NPP School is being underused. The learning curve for NPP is quite steep, but a detailed and easy-to-read tutorial exists, and the Curation Tool's many features are fully described and illustrated on the updated page here.
- Reminders
- Consider staying informed on project issues by putting the project discussion page on your watchlist.
- If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, suggest they help the effort by placing
{{subst:NPR invite}}
on their talk page. - If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.

Question regarding my draft for Yasmeen
Hello, I hope you have been well! I wanted to ask something quite important regarding the draft I started a couple of months ago. Basically, all the information for Yasmeen is on her list section, regarding her storylines. I’d like to bring all the information over to the page, and restructure it, although I know Wikipedia has very serious rules about attribution and stuff, not to mention how impolite it is to copy others work, I just don’t want to cause any issues. How would you suggest going about this, eg. Mentioning something in the summary, rewording it slightly? Hope you can help! Thanks Blanchey (talk) 17:35, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Copy it over, making any tweaks desired, with an edit summary that says "Storyline information taken and tweaked from List of Coronation Street characters (2014); see article history for respective attribution." – Meena • 19:29, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

I had a look and found this it was Leo’s father saying that Leo had gone to Canada alone, although having read it closer, it said something along the lines of ‘Leo has seemingly gone…’ so having thought about it, I guess last night could have been his last appearance. Suki
Would you agree if I added Ravi as Suki’s stepson following the revelation on Thursdays episode that Suki’s estranged husband Nish is actually Ravi’s father? Blanchey (talk) 20:31, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
- Suki has had no part in raising Ravi or acting as a stepmother so I'd disagree with that. – Meena • 21:02, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
- Ok, I will refrain from adding. Have a good evening! Blanchey (talk) 21:21, 1 October 2022 (UTC)

Removal of date of birth
Hi Meena
I edited an article recently and added the person's date of birth and age. I edit hundreds of articles on wiki every week. However, I was surprised at the deletion although can now understand why. I suspect her date of birth didn't have a citation added by me although it does seem that her DOB is freely available? Let me know what you think. I know you have a vast experience of sitcoms/soap operas. Kind regards mandtplatt. Mandtplatt (talk) 08:35, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Mandtplatt: Apologies in me just getting back to you on this, I've been very busy lately. The issue with adding unsourced DOBs despite them being "common knowledge" is determining the root of that knowledge. Where did it come from? It could be hearsay, eg one person could have heard that Stenson is a virgo and assumed her birthday, and others could have just ran with it. It can be unlikely but it also does happen a lot with people's birthdays, eg Famous Birthdays has Paige Sandhu's birthday completely wrong. So we need a WP:RS that confirms her bday. I'll have a look for one. – Meena • 19:43, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- Many thanks for your professional response. OK no problem. Good luck. Mandtplatt (talk) 09:01, 17 October 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Anna Karen.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Anna Karen.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 23:07, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
Doctors episode count
Hi, thanks for doing that! Can I ask, where can I find the episode count for doctors? I don’t watch the show but like to update all the soaps edit count so I have something to do here on weekends. Hope you’re well too! Blanchey (talk) 20:55, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Blanchey: Hello! There was formerly a series overview on the BBC website as well as the Wikipedia article itself. I removed the series overview table as part of an overhaul of the article as I felt it served no purpose but it was useful as it said the amount of episodes that had aired. Since I removed that, I've just gone off how many eps air a week. – Meena • 21:49, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
A message from Robhaywood10
Hi Meena, I've just been talking to one of your colleagues about the Wikipedia entry about me. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Sean_O%27Connor_(producer).
My husband was a huge wikipedia fan and would sometimes add things or correct things. And it amused him to do it. Unfortunately he died last year. Since then I've noticed a few entries that were removing positive things about my work- and then deliberately adding negative things that just aren't relevant. I'm completely technophobic, so had a go at changing these things from his account- not very well probably. One of your colleagues has kindly removed the negative material, and explained that Rob should have noted the COI rules- which he clearly didn't. But I wonder if the COI warning could be removed in this instance, given the circumstances?Robhaywood10 (talk) Robhaywood10 (talk) 18:58, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- I left the BBC for personal reasons and wanted to work elsewhere. Digital Spy went wild with speculation- but that's all it was. Dominic Treadwell Collins didn't criticise me severely- he simply said he was sad that two characters that he had created left. And soap producers kill off characters all the time. That is the nature of soap. My 12 months at EE didn't define my career at all- The Archers may have done. The person who is making these edits is clearly intent on undermining my professional reputation by focusing on trivial things that may be important to them, but are very insignificant and are not matters of note. The sentence that has been added is not noteworthy in a first paragraph and is far from neutral. Robhaywood10 (talk) 00:41, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
I'm a celebrity get me out of here coming out show
Hi since the series is finished do we count the coming out episode that will air on Thursday in the episode count or does the episode not count as an actual episode.
Thanks Adavid299 (talk) 07:22, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Adavid299: I wouldn't count it, as it's more of a spin-off. – Meena • 08:09, 28 November 2022 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 20
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Dancing on Ice (series 15), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Usher. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Martin Fowlers picture
Hi I've just realised about Martin fowlers picture that it's a really old picture of Martin is there a way we can update it to an updated one? Adavid299 (talk) 07:32, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

Page review request
Hi Meena, I saw that you reviewed the redirect from a typo page I created Trimagnesium bicitrate. Thank you! I was wondering though, would it be possible to also review the correct spelling, Trimagnesium dicitrate? Thanks in advance. Enix150 (talk) 20:20, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hey sorry to repost, but my comment was deleted. Trimagnesium dicitrate is the correct spelling, can you review that page please? A dicitrate is any compound containing two citrate groups or ions, whereas a bicitrate is any salt of citric acid in which only one of the acidic hydrogen atoms has been replaced. The compound in question is a dicitrate, but currently only trimagnesium bicitrate is reviewed, so it shows up first in the search bar. Cheers! Enix150 (talk) 17:30, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Enix150: The page isn't exactly in great condition, so I don't feel comfortable reviewing it. Could it be improved? – Meena • 17:34, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oh I was actually referring to the redirect page itself rather than the target article, but I can try to put in some work on the target article to find some more sources for it if that would help! Enix150 (talk) 17:55, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Trimagnesium dicitrate was created in 2013, it cannot be reviewed as it is not a new page. WP:NPP reviewers like myself review new pages created. – Meena • 18:17, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Ok! I didn't realize it was only for new pages. Do you happen to know of another way to remedy the search bar issue? If you type "trimagnesium" it currently autofills to the typo "bicitrate" rather than the correct spelling "dicitrate". Thanks again for your help! Enix150 (talk) 18:54, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, sorry. The only thing I can think of is to get the redirect deleted. – Meena • 18:58, 19 May 2023 (UTC)

Archie Brooks article
Hello again, I do like the idea that you have merged the characters first introduced in 1982 and those in 1983 together, but is there a chance that Archie Brooks could have his own article again? EmmerdaleFan2001 (talk) 13:33, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Archie has little to no real-world information available, so he works better as a redirect. – Meena • 14:09, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- Is there not any potential of adding real-world information to his article?
- Also, there aren't any pages for characters introduced in these years: 1975-76, 1980-81, 1984-87, 1992. Is there any chance they can be created? EmmerdaleFan2001 (talk) 14:17, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- As I said, there's really not much on Archie to use. And I have no plans to make those articles for Emmerdale, I'm the only editor on Doctors pages so I prefer to focus on those articles when I can. – Meena • 14:22, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
