[edit]Why did you write me such a harsh warning message? GOd, how was I supposed to know those changes were actually real? I thought they were submitted and reviewed, I just wanted to make some people laugh, I didn't realize it would actually show up! ANd then you had to go and write this horrible message, making me feel bad instead of pointing me to some sort of beginner's guide when I CLEARLY didn't know what was going on! I mean, who would actually put that in an article for serious? THey'd look like a complete moron!
I can't believe you did this to me! Is this how all the moderators are? How will I learn to edit! I had a friend, telling me that the people here were so benevolent and patient, and then I get some dire warning telling me I can't edit pages anymore! I make one mistake, and I have nothing left here! I can't even edit the articles for real, for lack of a guide to what's good quality and what's bad! Why did you try to intimidate me like that? I haven't been bullied like that in over months. 68.59.61.191 22:07, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

Blue magic and Blue Magic
[edit]Asking for your guidance. My thinking was to move Blue magic to the redirect page at Blue Magic and then put a notice at the top like "This page is about the band Blue Magic. For the magic type in Final Fantasy, see Final Fantasy magic." The other option is to move Blue magic to Blue Magic (band) and then put a note about Final Fantasy at the top. The first of these methods requires administrative assistance, and I figured you wouldn't mind helping me. Thanks! - Corbin Be excellent 02:12, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Re: Master of Puppets
[edit]I removed the section on Master of Puppets based off Supercoops post in the talk page.
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Master_of_Puppets#Interpretation Metallica says in interviews (paraphrased) the songs don’t mean anything but what you make them. I am just glad I listened to the song before someone swayed my interpretation of the song and I would like others to have that opportunity.
But if you must include the section then site some sources as to what the song means. Otherwise it's just original research. --Arm 04:41, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
pages for newcomers
[edit]Hi!
As a fairly new newcomer, I'm interested in the "process" of helping new users find things to do when first arriving at Wikipedia.
I see a lot of Help pages, tutorials, etc., and lots of pages on policy and standards... But I haven't found pages directing users to find things to do to satisfy their early abilities other than some stub lists (and I've been using the search option (search: "{{wikify...")
Can you help me to find out what sort of "projects" there are on Wikipedia to help the masses of new Wikipedians pick pieces of work that suit them? My interest isn't necessarily for my own use (but it will help me too) but more so as a possible area of work I'd like to look at for participation.
Thanks!
--Hitrish 15:24, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Master of Puppets, thanks once again for posting your help to my talk page! The list of Wikiprojects is perfect and points to many more options for finding manageable things to do for the discerning newbie. The best! --Hitrish 05:03, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject page overhaul?
[edit]Would you have any interest in overhauling/organizing/makingpretty a new WikiProject page? It is so ungainly right now. You did such a good job with my userpage. If you're not interested, that's ok. Just thought you might like a challenge. :) --Fang Aili talk 15:45, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe light blue-ish? With dark blue accents? You could incorporate Image:Skate.jpg or other figure skating pictures if you liked. I don't care for the layout of WikiProject Arts, but that's an example of a WikiProject that did something with the project page. Basically I want to avoid a very long page that's hard to navigate. --Fang Aili talk 17:08, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- A few guidelines--I would like the "to do" to remain prominent and unhidden. I'd also like the "Templates" and "New article announcements" to remain unhidden. The "Relations" section (and lots of subsections) could be hidden. It'd be nice if you could lay out the "Sister Project links" horizontally along the bottom edge (sort of like the WP mainpage has), but I don't know if that's possible. Thanks for doing this!! --Fang Aili talk 18:31, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism reversion
[edit]Thanks for the rollback earlier, MoP! It's funny, just today someone said that if I have someone vandalize my page, it's a sign I'm doing something right! ... I wonder if the guy realizes that calling me "gay" isn't going to be taken as much of an insult though? I'm about glad of it!

Rollback
[edit]It should still be available. Purge your broswer cache, as I was fixing IE stuff for a while, and for a while some things were broken. If it still doesn't work, tell me what browser you are using.Voice-of-AllTalk 04:41, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for telling me. Sorry...this was on me, I forget an &action=edit clause that speed it up and was used in the .split dor the page name, which was undefined and invalid without &action=edit (splitting something after "editing " when it does not have that and then ecaping() it causes a crash). Clear you cache again, since I just fixed it now.Voice-of-AllTalk 04:49, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Two more things. 1)Recently, the vandal revert sets a URL trigger so that tab warning put in the page name too...kind of cool. And 2)Whenever I edit a section on this page, it is blank...:(.Voice-of-AllTalk 04:58, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
