This is my first effort at creating a Wikipedia article. I would appreciate any critiques, edits, or feedback on the draft. I've put a lot of work into the preparation of the draft, and I don't want it to get deleted. Thanks for your help! MTJ78 (talk) 04:52, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- It's a very good first effort! I have quite a bit of experience at Articles for creation, a draft as well written and complete as this one is a very rare pleasure. I think it's basically ready - if you agree just add {{subst:submit}} to the top of the page and it will be properly reviewed and published as soon as it's ready. I have "de-activated" the categories because categories are only allowed on articles that are already in mainspace. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 20:38, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! I am also getting feedback from editors at the Teahouse Q&A: Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions#Need_editors_for_first_article. I'll read all commentary and make all the suggested changes at the same time later this weekend. MTJ78 (talk) 20:50, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
Article review
[edit]Hello. Sorry for getting late but I've been working and I don't have Wikipedia access on weekends. What do you need for me to reviw on your article'?? Miss Bono (zootalk) 18:56, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- No worries. I just have one question now. I added the submit tag to the article, and got a notice that the article would be better placed in Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Juan E. Gilbert. I selected "move," but I don't see it in the list at AfC. Thoughts? MTJ78 (talk) 19:03, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- I don't know. I am not good with tags. I am sorry can't helping you with that. Better ask that at the Teahouse. They can help you.
- I think the article needs more explanations on the fields though (e.g. Education: Instead of * Ph.D., University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio, 2000 (Computer Science), this: JuanE. Gilbert has a Ph.D..... etc) I don't know if you understad me. Feel free to ask. Miss Bono (zootalk) 19:13, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- I understand. I used Richard A. Tapia as my example, so I thought this format was ok.MTJ78 (talk) 19:18, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Barack Obama is written in the narrative style that you are suggesting. Maybe the article format is different depending on how famous the person is. MTJ78 (talk) 19:20, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- You are right. I think it looks nicer the way Barack Obama is written, but it is your aticle, you are free to do it as you like the most. Anyways, if you need any help (not tags :D) feel free to ask. Miss Bono (zootalk) 19:22, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
