A barnstar for you!
The Editor's Barnstar | |
Thank you for your warm welcome. Yes I do have a question. Are we able to create pages or only edit pages? ReepsOne (talk) 14:34, 23 December 2012 (UTC) |
- Thank you! Yes, you may create new articles; take a look at WP:CREATE to learn more. I also recommend checking out the introduction and the new contributors' help page as they are very helpful resources. As always, feel free to come back to my talk page or add {{helpme}} to your own if you need more help. There are many places to get the help you need and I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia! Thanks for the Welcome!
Hi there, MJ94! I've been a longtime reader of Wikipedia, and thought I'd give editing a spin. Thanks for the welcome, and I'll be sure to come to you second (after a long-time editor cousin, if I can find her) if I have any questions.
Happy Christmas (if it is a hol you celebrate)!

- I do celebrate Christmas - thank you! Happy holidays to you, as well! MJ94 (talk) 01:38, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
Hi, MJ94.
I just made my first article (following the template of another movie's article) and I was just wondering if you would take a look at Into the Badlands. Many thanks! Atchemey (talk) 16:46, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
- Absolutely! Please note, however, that my family is celebrating Christmas today. That being said, I may be a little delayed in checking your article out but I will get to it as soon as I'm able. Happy holidays! MJ94 (talk) 17:02, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

GOCE mentorship
Hello, and I'll be glad to help with mentoring (although a quick glance indicates you've been active on WP longer than I have :-)). This page has a lot of useful information in one place. The Manual of Style is a useful reference, and I've found that the best way to learn copyediting is to just do it. Sign up on the mailing list for updates on upcoming backlog-reduction drives (the next one is in January). Although that drive hasn't started yet, you're still welcome to pick an article from the backlog to copyedit. While some copyeditors use the {{GOCEinuse}} tag (and I used to), I now find it better to simply remove the {{copyedit}} tag—after noting in the edit summary that you're doing so before the copyedit—before beginning; that will give you all the time you need. Hope this helps; feel free to ask any questions on my talk page. All the best, Miniapolis (talk) 15:27, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
