The article Leslie Thompson (American Football) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unemployed semi-pro American-football player. Not even close to meeting WP:GNG standards.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Can you tell me exactly what needs to be changed to stop the deletion process

Actually qualifying for an article. And I'm sorry, but you don't. --Calton | Talk 18:30, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How can I get it recovered to make changes to it. FootballKingz92 (talk) 18:53, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It wouldn't help. You don't qualify for an article -- and being a "free agent" has NOTHING to do with that -- because you've never been a professional football player. To quote from the guidelines regarding MINIMUM requirements:
American football/Canadian football players and head coaches are presumed notable if they:
  1. Have appeared in at least one regular season or post-season game in any one of the following professional leagues: the Arena Football League, the Canadian Football League, the National Football League, the fourth American Football League, the All-America Football Conference or the United States Football League, or any other top-level professional league.
  2. Note: Players who play in minor or semi-professional leagues (such as af2) are not presumed notable unless they meet another criterion, such as notability arising from their college football days.
You can make all the changes to your article you want, but no set of magic words will suddenly change your status. --Calton | Talk 19:01, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
