Speedy deletion nomination of GHANACOLL HALL OF FAME
[edit]Hello Lois2817,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged GHANACOLL HALL OF FAME for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 20:24, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
Promotional Nature of GHANACOLL HALL OF FAME
[edit]The main reason I, and the moderator who actually deleted the article, saw your article as promotional, was its tone, which was promotional and non-encyclopedic, and its general lack of notability, as evidenced by the complete lack of references. Certainly, there are notable halls of fame, such as the National Baseball Hall of Fame. But the latter refers to a major world sport, followed literally by billions of people. I think you can see the difference between this and a local high school hall of fame. The National Baseball hall of fame article also has 37 independent references, demonstrating notability. If you can tone down the promotional tone, and provide some independent references, the article might stand. However, my recommendation to you would be to add a section on the Hall of Fame to the article on Ghana National College. Then it is likely no one will bother you. ubiquity (talk) 21:03, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
