{unblock|I have tried TWICE now to change my username and it was declined, why? That is absolutely no problem at all to me knowing that there are other volunteers who handle the complaints, as if they look through the back log properly and see that I have tried to communicate with several of you and get my points across, the only one out of everyone who has actually paid any kind of attention to the issues I've been having, is Yamla! since apparently my page was purely promotional, can someone then explain to me HOW it was promotional, and not with a link to another page of generic information, but an actual EXPLANATION. Since I had a look at other artists pages that were similar to the girl that I follow, pretty much did exactly the same as theirs, yet my page was removed. }

Request reason:
And what will happen regarding my page that was taken down? You've not mentioned about that and it's funny how Jimfbleak who banned me and removed my page hasn't said nothing and left it to everyone else! Absolute misuse of 'power' that I will be making a complaint about. Will another admin be a long to put my page back up or will I have to do the whole thing over again?
Decline reason:
Please, one request at a time. OK, if you're not LilRockit, you may not impersonate her by using her name. That part is simple. The more complicated part is that your article was purely promotional; you can deal with that after you change your username, following the directions at the bottom of the page. As far as "making complaints", go right ahead, but you'll discover the people you make complaints to are volunteers here like all the rest of us, and have a long and deep understanding of the community standards here -- which have been properly followed in this case. --jpgordon::==( o ) 14:53, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
{unblock|I had ALREADY in a previous reply to ANOTHER volunteer, stated that I was NOT LilRockit, and that I was a fan who had been supporting her since day dot! How could you have missed that?? You've deleted the page I wrote about her, and blocked me from doing anything, because you didn't read up on the previous comments properly, or my responses. This is UNFAIR and I want to make an official complaint if my page is not put back on and I'm unblocked. If the primary reason for me being blocked is because you PRESUME I am LilRockit because of the username I picked, you are all wrong, I picked this name because I thought I had to to be able to write the page on her. Change my name, I don't give a damn what it is, but the fact that you are all jumping to conclusions and presuming that I am her is wrong, which means that the only reason why I am blocked and why the page that I wrote on her is deleted, is because you all think I am her which is ridiculous. That means that every single artist page, or any page for that matter that is on this site is to be written by God knows who, since fans aren't even allowed to write pages any more! Also, Jimfbleak deleted my talkpage so no wonder no body can see my replies and comments to other admins! This is absolutely ridiculous, and that fact that I can't even message him to ask him to take it off is even more ridiculous. Also since I still have a 'YOUR USER NAME IS THE ONLY REASON FOR THIS BLOCK' in place, and Yamla has just said my user name is fine, why the heck is this block still on?? }}
- My claim that your username was fine was based on my assumption that you were Lil Rockit. If that's not the case, your username is almost certainly inappropriate. Another admin will be along shortly to review your unblock request. --Yamla (talk) 14:36, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
- Please, only one unblock request at a time. --Yamla (talk) 14:44, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of LilRockit
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on LilRockit, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —teb728 t c 09:10, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at LilRockit. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 10:23, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with LilRockit. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 10:24, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:32, 3 May 2016 (UTC)Help request

So, now that my name has been changed (Thank you Yamla for understanding) I would like to know that since apparently my page was purely promotional, can someone then explain to me HOW it was promotional, and please do not send me a link to another page of generic information, but an actual EXPLANATION. Since I had a look at other artists pages that were similar to the girl that I follow, and pretty much did exactly the same as theirs with her information and what I know as fact, yet my page was removed.
- I have moved this to the bottom, because new entries should go at the bottom of talk pages, to keep the conversation in order.
- For a start, your article was full of "peacock terms" - unsupported adjectives of praise: "a well-known figure... her own unique sound... her distinctive sound and unique energy... unique tracks... " That is PR-speak, written to sell something, but an encyclopedia requires a neutral point of view - no opinions, only plain facts, cited to reliable, published sources.
- You said you wrote "what I know as fact", but that is not good enough.Check out WP:Verifiability: "any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source". Who says her sound, energy, tracks etc are "unique"? If you don't have a source for a glowing adjective, leave it out.
- More generally, the whole article read like her telling the world about herself. Her "confidence in her onstage persona" and her "deep-seated and lifelong passion" are things she can talk about on her own website or on social media, but Wikipedia is different. An encyclopedia article should be based on what other people have written about the subject. There is good advice from an experienced Wikipedian at User:Uncle G/On notability#Writing about subjects close to you:
When writing about subjects that are close to you, don't use your own personal knowledge of the subject, and don't cite yourself, your web site, or the subject's web site. Instead, use what is written about the subject by other people, independently, as your sources. Cite those sources in your very first edit. If you don't have such sources, don't write.
- If you want to try again, I suggest you use WP:Articles for creation to guide you through the process. That will let you make a draft, and give you the option to send ti for review to an experienced user, who will either accept it or give you feedback. Check out WP:Your first article for advice, and note in particular that you need references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" to establish Wikipedia:Notability to the standard of WP:MUSICBIO. [edit]Hi, thanks for message. With regard to the block, you should have read the guidance on choosing a name that you see when you create an account. You are not allowed to impersonate another person, for obvious reasons, including legal. It also looks as if you are writing about yourself, which, as you have seen, creates more problems. I note that even your current name comes close to her real name, but I'll let that be for now.
I deleted your article because
- it did not provide adequate independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that she meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to her, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what she claims or interviewing her.
- you gave some references, which I've tidied, but they were not in-line so we can't tell what fact each is supporting. Put your references in the text following the fact each supports using <ref>your citeweb reference</ref>. Then the {{reflist}} at the end will automatically generate a numbered list
- To show notability you need facts such as record sales/downloads or awards, or at least national independent third-party coverage. All your refs are to a local paper, but "big in Scunthorpe" isn't enough.
- your first draft was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: well-known figure... own unique sound... already making waves. Your current draft is much more factual and neutral in tone
- As you have probably gathered by now, this is an encyclopaedia, not a fan site
What you need to do now is put your references in the text, as I've said above, so that we can see what fact each is supporting. Links which are not supporting a fact should be removed, except for the external link to her web site. At present, what you have said suggests that she is just one of hundreds of wannabees who don't meet our notability criteria. To show that she meets those criteria you need facts about her sales and awards with proper references, or you are wasting your time since her article will be deleted again.
