Comments
[edit]You will probably notice that I have made some changes to your draft, mostly aesthetic. I removed the contents list, as that is automatically generated for anything over two or three sections. If there was some other reason you were keeping that during drafting, feel free to revert my change. Secondly, I corrected a few spellings, linked a word or two, and removed one "unencyclopedic" phrase. I'm rather curious about your spelling of "Brasil", or what I would normally spell "Brazil". Can you tell me what that spelling is based from? (i.e. - is it a British spelling, Spanish or Portuguese one, or something else?)
I will add a BLP infobox sometime soon. Good work! PrincessofLlyr royal court 04:39, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
I will use Brazil sp. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ldelcasale (talk • contribs) 16:07, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Okay, just a little more work before it goes mainspace. A problem you're having with the writing is your familiarity with the subject. There are numerous statements throughout the "Life" sections (early, personal, public) that are completely unreferenced. Even if it comes from the same as all the other sources, keep repeating it. Optimally, every statement should have a published source to back it up. The "Outlook" section should be reworked. Having an entire section like that as just a quote is not preferable. The content of the statement should be summarized with a few quotes for accuracy. The same goes for the section "Technical playing vs. expressiveness". The critical section should be reworked as a description of the opinions, not just the quotes. See for example this article. Also, the "perspectives and Acclaim" section should be written in prose instead of list style. I know that sounds like a lot. The good news is, when we actually move it to the mainspace it will be well on its way to a good article. PrincessofLlyr royal court 02:28, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Technique
[edit]I believe the article needs a section devoted to Carlos Barbosa-Lima's guitar technique, and such section should be written by a specialist. To anyone who has devoted a few years studying the Classical Guitar, it is quite evident that he excels in several aspects, usually reserved to true masters of the instrument, such as John Williams, Julian Bream, Leo Brouwer, Sharon Isbin, Denis Azabagic, Manuel Barrueco, David Russell, Roland Dyens, Paul Galbraith, Álvaro Pierri, Berta Rojas, Göran Söllscher and Ana Vidović, to name just a very few. Not only the ever-surprising polyphonic feats, or the incredible and uncanny ability he often displays when adding harmonics to his arrangements & performances, merit due coverage by a connoisseur. And those are just a couple of examples of his art.
I hope someone may just do it, and thanks! --AVM (talk) 01:53, 3 May 2018 (UTC)
