Use of ‘prostitute’

[edit]

You appear to have reverted a constructive edit on Peter Sutcliffe. The way sex workers have been spoken about regarding the case has been thoroughly condemned. Please avoid reverting constructive changes. Sexismcorrector23 (talk) 14:37, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sexismcorrector23, we use what the sources state. stop your reverting. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 14:38, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Then request for all references to be placed in quotation marks Sexismcorrector23 (talk) 14:40, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also many uses that are not connected to sources, necessary to change these if not directly quoted from source Sexismcorrector23 (talk) 14:41, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sexismcorrector23, No, I will not. Also the word "protost" means someone who is paid for sex. Sex worker can mean any number of things. Stop your distruitbe editing. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 14:43, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I’d argue that it is then you who is not providing anything constructive. Sex worker is a perfectly adequate description especially when police have been condemned for jumping to conclusions about many of the victims. Challenging outdated language is important for those who read a page as outdated words may remain part of our speech if we do not replace them with modern equivalents Sexismcorrector23 (talk) 14:47, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sexismcorrector23, while it may be out dated. we are talking about prostration, not about other kinds of sex work, it needs to be clear what is being talked about.. You can take this to the talk page. but do not make any further changes until a consensus has been formed.thats how it should be done.
