Welcome!
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page GFriend discography, have removed content without a good reason to do so. Content on Wikipedia should not be removed just because you disagree with it or because you think it's wrong, unless the claim is not verifiable. Instead, you should consider expanding the article with noteworthy and verifiable information of your own, citing reliable sources when you do so. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.

- @Ad Orientem Alright, you've got a deal. Oh, and btw, Cocktail Love wasn't on any charts or anything like that, and I was trying to find proof that it was, in fact, a cover song and also I don't know why Sugar Man is not on any K-pop artists profiles on Spotify (If you use it that is) but for groups like (G)I-DLE and MOMOLAND on this platform they have both their Sugar Man songs on their discography articles similar to the ones I was trying to create on GFRIEND's also I had no luck finding proof that it was a cover song on Google and I didn't want to find proof that it even existed because I was afraid you would block me. So I'm sorry if I upset you in any way at all, I was just trying to be helpful because it was never added to the article on GFRIEND's discography, and it does, in fact, exist. Kai Tuinman (talk) 21:02, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- You are a new editor and we try to cut some slack here. Just please be sure to include citations to reliable sources for all claims of fact added to articles. See also WP:V. I will add a template with useful links below and unlock you directly. -Ad Orientem (talk) 21:08, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- You have been unblocked. Happy editing. -Ad Orientem (talk) 21:09, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Ad Orientem I also forgot to mention that I wasn't sure what type of reliable source you were looking for like for both "ZZAN" and "Wanna Be" and I was trying to look for a "link" just like those two because for groups like (G)I-DLE and MOMOLAND, they don't have them in the soundtrack appearances on their articles on this platform, instead they have them in the "others" section as I like to call it because I'm guessing they don't classify them as OST's even though Sugar Man is a K-Drama. And that would be great, thank you on that last part, that is. Kai Tuinman (talk) 21:15, 21 September 2024 (UTC)

- @Ad Orientem Okay. I just looked at N.Flying's discography to prove my last point, and they did the same things for them like they did for the last 2 girl groups I mentioned and all 3 have different names (I'm guessing so they don't get in trouble with each other), I'll send you the links so you can check them out when you have time and see what I'm talking about and what I was trying to do for GFRIEND's discography and also I've listened to Cocktail Love so that's also how I know about the song as well btw 👇

- @Ad Orientem Another thing I wanted to say was that the only other K-pop article I can think of that's like GFRIEND's discography on this platform is the one on fromis_9 because they forgot 2 of their two songs in their discography on Spotify and they aren't in the article and I was gonna make another piece just for the 2 songs, but I decided not to because I couldn't get it right and they also only allow "links" for their "evidence" like the article on GFRIEND's discography and I realized that I would get the same result after multiple warnings and I get if you don't want my help on the article and I get that, some people are like that and I totally understand if you don't need my help editing the article. I would like assurance that they seek WP:CONSENSUS on the article's talk page if they are unsure if their sourcing is reliable and will include WP:SECONDARY WP:INDEPENDENT WP:RELIABLE SOURCE moving forward and also assurance that they would cross-check their future citations across WP:RSPSS, WP:KO/RS#UR, and WP:NOTRSMUSIC for Korean-related and also music-related as this is seemingly their only editing topic/interests. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 07:54, 22 September 2024 (UTC)- @Paper9oll This is a new user. - @Kai Tuinman Apple Music is considered as unreliable, doesn't means that you can hop on to any other streaming services including Spotify to use them as inline citations, they are equally unreliable. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Fromis 9, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 07:54, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

- @Kai Tuinman At this point, you are editing WP:DISRUPTIVEly by refusing to WP:LISTEN to what has already been stated above or also below in "Welcome to Wikipedia!" multiple times in fact. And asking "

Hence, I would request that you stop any form of editing, and go read up on the policies and guidelines especially WP:RS, WP:VERIFY, and WP:MOS which have violated too many times and being new here doesn't give you the immunity to go around editing as you please while ignoring the policies and guidelines and also the messages and warning here. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 09:22, 23 September 2024 (UTC)- @Paper9oll You removed the letters from the numbers, and that's okay. which if "I did read the policies you guys have

". — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 10:57, 23 September 2024 (UTC)- @Paper9oll Well, in my defense, technically, I read what can and can't be added, and I did try to think like Koreans when editing these Kpop articles you know? Korean apps and websites and so on. I also suffer from memory loss since I have 4 mental health issues, especially since my mother took her own life over 2 months ago at the age of 50, and it's been really hard for me and my family and I'm sorry I've been causing so many disturbances and I also have autism like I said earlier, so having 4 mental health issues on top of that really just makes it hard for me to do anything really and I am all by my lonesome for a few years and I feel like this is one of the only places I can go. So I'm sorry if I'm being such a nuisance. It's been really hard for me these past 2 months, especially after the death of my mother, who suffered from mental health issues for almost her entire life, just like me right now Kai Tuinman (talk) 11:06, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

- @Kai Tuinman I understand that you're going through a difficult time. It's important to prioritize your mental health and well-being by seeking support from mental health professionals or support groups. However, while I appreciate your efforts to contribute to Wikipedia, the continuous mistakes and/or errors introduced in your edits are causing more harm than good resulting in having others to clean up. To ensure the accuracy and quality of the articles, including but not limited to Fromis 9, I believe it would be best for you to take a step back from editing here for a few weeks or months until you feel that your mental health and well-being is well enough to reduce the mistakes and/or errors in your future edits without having others to clean up. Once you're feeling better, I encourage you to review Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, particularly on identifying and verifying reliable sources, and applying the manual of style correctly. By familiarizing yourself with these guidelines, you can ensure that your future contributions upon your recovery may align with Wikipedia's standards and help maintain the quality of our articles. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 11:47, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

- @Ad Orientem This clearly isn't working out and doing more harm than good at this point of time. I have already tried to be as kind as possible by being Bob the Builder and fixing up the continuous mistakes and/or factual errors introduced however patient has its limit and clearly it isn't working out as evidenced with this adding back Spotify when already informed above, this changing Naver to Fandom/Wikia (which also resulted in bot reversion), this with incorrect edit summary but action depicts what is seemingly a test edit and finally the last straw with this, this, this, this, this of persistently introducing factual errors of "Seven days later" or "1 week later" from "Four days later" and I updated to "On July 28" for their understanding as they failed multiple times to grasp the correct event despite continuous attempts to communicate this, in which changing to "On July 28" resolved nothing for whatever incomprehensible reason, and lastly this and this of adding back Naver Blogs twice which is obviously WP:BLOGS and of course also communicated above. Obviously there is "only one hands clapping when its takes two hands to clap", attempts has been made to communicate as evidenced above and clearly it isn't even helping and basically "going in one ear and out the other". This is further exacerbated by their zero-to-none situational awareness and/or judgement abilities to differentiate correct from wrong as evidenced with them asking "
What's wrong
" question twice. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 14:47, 23 September 2024 (UTC)- @Paper9oll Hey, having autism is no walk in the park. We act and think differently than normal people. Kai Tuinman (talk) 15:05, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Paper9oll And don't feel bad, many people have gotten annoyed at me because when you have autism your much more of a pain to deal with than someone who doesn't have it, so your not alone, just know that. Kai Tuinman (talk) 15:13, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Kai Tuinman You need to slow down and make very sure your edits are correct and properly sourced. We try to cut slack for new users, but at some point editors are expected to demonstrate basic competency to edit here. See WP:CIR. It is not acceptable to expect other editors to constantly be cleaning up after you. I am sorry that you have health issues but those don't give you a pass for unconstructive behavior. Please see WP:NOTTHERAPY. If your health issues are causing you to introduce factually false statements into the encyclopedia, I would advise you to stop altogether and find another hobby. If this continues, I may be forced to make that decision for you and I really don't want to do that. -Ad Orientem (talk) 15:45, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Ad Orientem I've personally been a lot meanier on Reddit. Specifically on the subreddit, r/WehateKpop. To the point where they ended up banning me. I would make excessive rambles on the subject, and nobody liked me on that subreddit, and I personally thought I was doing a good job, but obviously not if I ended up getting banned after a few days. So I've been a lot meanier on there than I have been on here. Also quick question, can you only archive stuff from a computer or is there a way you can do it on your phone because I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, and I was trying to do it on there, but I couldn't figure out how to so that's why I've just been using links all this time because I'm not good with technology. - @Kai Tuinman I advise you to consider finding a new hobby. If you want to continue here, you should start running all of your proposed changes on the talk page of whichever article you want to edit, before making any changes. I'm sorry that we have reached this point, but we are where we are. If you are unable to contribute positively to the project, then you cannot edit here. As of right now, that is in serious doubt. You need to demonstrate that you can. -Ad Orientem (talk) 16:13, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- P.S. To your specific question. If you download the Wikipedia app, you can generally do almost everything on that that you can on a computer. -Ad Orientem (talk) 16:34, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Ad Orientem Oh, ok. Thank you. Kai Tuinman (talk) 16:37, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Ad Orientem You may want to look at the recent revision history of Fromis 9 and I doubt I'm even seeing "
contribute positively to the project
" nor "demonstrat[ing] that you can
" when clearly, currently, it isn't just me having an issues with their edits at this juncture. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 13:39, 24 September 2024 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia!

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page 100% (band) has been reverted.
Your edit here to 100% (band) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://kpop.fandom.com/wiki/Re:tro%7Cdate=March) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 17:59, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to 100% (band) have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links.
- @XLinkBot No, no. You got my point across. I was just trying to add the title track for RE:tro, but I couldn't get it because I'm an American and not Korean. Kai Tuinman (talk) 18:08, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia! Please remember to use an edit summary
[edit]Hello! I have noticed that you often make edits with the same simple edit summary. Please do your best to describe the changes you are making. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks! Orangesclub (talk) 10:32, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Orangesclub Where? Also, I have autism, so it's hard for me to sit still sometimes, and I do apologize for that. Kai Tuinman (talk) 10:38, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Where? Also, I have autism, so it's hard for me to sit still sometimes, and I do apologize for that. Also, I have 4 mental health issues. I think it's my ADHD and bipolar and maybe my anxiety. Kai Tuinman (talk) 10:43, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- That's all good! When you save a change you've been putting "Fixed grammar" or "Fixed typo" which obviously is sometimes all an edit is, but if you're making bigger changes it's good to describe them. For example some of your edits you could have put "added member's surnames for consistency" or "added 2022 OST". You can see here Help:Edit summary for more information. Orangesclub (talk) 10:44, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Orangesclub Oh, I never realized you could make custom edits. My bad. I'll remember that next time I edit something. Kai Tuinman (talk) 10:56, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- @OrangesclubThanks so much for the info. This'll not only save you guys time but me from having to make these all over again every time you take these down and me having to keep making copies. Kai Tuinman (talk) 12:09, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
OST's for K-pop groups and soloists
[edit]Actually, it's okay not to add OST's to articles on K-pop groups and soloists every single chance you get. As long as they're somewhere in there, whether it's in the article or the article on just their discography, as long as it's in there somewhere, it counts.
