Question about your edit

[edit]

Hello,

Yesterday, I updated the information about my grandfather, Rudolf Muradyan, including the unfortunate news that he passed away on November 9, 2024, in Pasadena, California. Could you kindly tell me why you changed it back?

Best regards, Satenik Satenikoganesyan (talk) 09:04, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page watcher) - you'll need to provide a reliable source that they passed away, rather than it just be something that you know. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 09:07, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Kindly check the website of the Pontifical academy of sciences, where my grandfather was a member. Satenikoganesyan (talk) 10:15, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Satenikoganesyan: Per Lee Vilenski's comment above, you need to provide a citation to a reliable source for any information you add to Wikipedia. It's the responsibility of the editor who adds information to provide sources. If you're not sure how to add sources, see Help:Referencing for beginners. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 14:14, 24 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
