Magna Park

According to template:coord google maps etc ignores geodata except that tagged with display=title (and I've found this to be the case too) - I didn't know that redirects "don't work" either - I've tried a kludge - ie see Magna Park, Wavendon, Milton Keynes..

As far as I know it's Google's decision whether they use the tags - they may well be purposely ignoring redirects, and short articles. I am going to see if the kludge above turns up on google maps etc..

I think further discussion needs to happen at template:coord which is where the experts are. I'd like to be able to get some inline coord links to be used by external sites too... Please see Template talk:Coord#Display in Google Maps/Earth etc - redirects for more..Mddkpp (talk) 18:03, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

For the record if there isn't a solution I really don't object to the separate article being recreated (I've seen worse) - the article has scope for growth, and probably techically passes notability tests - there's a lot of press coverage in the specialised press, plus 'milton keynes council' stuff and gazeley's (the developer) own releases are solid sources eg [1] [2] Some of the stuff comes close to advertorial but I'm not here to judge.. [3] Even found this daily telegraph which is 67% about the development, plus coverage in foeign and unrelated press [4] [5] . (But I don't want to write it :) )Mddkpp (talk) 18:22, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
