DWBY-TV
Just a tip - check the attribution. That site was mirroring Wikipedia. The bot wouldn't know, but there are various sites that take text from us. 'en-wiki' at the start of their name was a clue that a closer look might be needed. Some of the others are harder to spot from their names - there's a list somewhere. WP:COPYVIO might have a link to it. Keep up the good work, anyway. It's better to tag than not if it's a suspected copyvio or attack - but it's best to scroll down first... :) Peridon (talk) 19:07, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks. I'll keep that in mind. :) JohnHWiki (talk) 00:12, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
REGA Brand
I understand why you deleted the article I was trying to start, but I don't think you read my response? http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Rega_Brand ? You guys are very fast and I understand you have a lot of work to do.
Should I give up on this page idea?
V3r3n (talk) 00:38, 18 May 2011 (UTC) I've never signed anything before...
- The article was in line with both G11 and A7 - Basically it is not notable enough to be in Wikipedia and also most of it is written like a promotional poster. We appreciate your help, but we have to follow those rules. If you are gonna make a new article please refer to our notability guidelines and make sure the way you write your article is encyclopedic enough to be in Wikipedia. Thanks! Speedy deletion contested: Siel snowden
Hello JohnHWiki, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Siel snowden, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Don't see any vandalism but will retag as {{db-person}}
. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Baseball Watcher 01:20, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- It seemed has some small misinformation, but fair enough. JohnHWiki (talk) 01:23, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
?
Hello JohnHWiki I was just wondering how is Cole burgess vandalism? Baseball Watcher 01:24, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- It seemed for more like an attack rather than a vandalism. Seems though a G10 would be more appropriate. Here is the original text - Original text removed. JohnHWiki (talk) 01:27, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yes your right, my eyes only read the first paragraph. Thank you. Baseball Watcher 01:30, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
G4 speedy tagging
Hi. Just a tip regarding your speedy tag on Jobi El Fenomenal (which I have salted to prevent him re-creating it any more): WP:CSD#G4 is only for cases where an article has previously been deleted at an AfD. Previous speedies don't count, they can just be re-speedied. There is good advice for speedy taggers at WP:10CSD and WP:A7M. Also, autobiography is not absolutely forbidden, the right phrase is "strongly discouraged", with a link to WP:AUTO. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 09:22, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks JohnCD! I'll keep that in mind. :) JohnHWiki (talk) 09:24, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

- Well, kaceka isn't really a notable band. Kindly read our notability guidlines to help you make a new article. Reading the Five pillars of Wikipedia can also be helpful. Hope it helps! JohnHWiki talk - 07:42, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Kinetic ICT Solutions
Hi,
I am new to wiki and have just had my company page speedy deleted - Can you explain why?
I made lots of edits as it said there were duplicate content. I am learning the system. Other compaines are listed in the category so not sure why you have blocked?
- Your company page was deleted because it wasn't notable enough to be in Wikipedia. See our notability guidelines for more information about this matter. Thanks! JohnHWiki talk - 09:00, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Kindness House
Kindnesstrust (talk) 01:44, 21 May 2011 (UTC) Wikipedia keeps deleting information about Kindness House in Melbourne.

Kindnesstrust (talk) 01:44, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
- No no no, the article was basically promoting the NGO, and that basically isn't allowed. See this page on what Wikipedia is not. Thanks! JohnHWiki talk - 01:47, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
My Child New Zealand
Dear JohnHWiki,
My page a created for My Child New Zealand has not been approved. I am fairly new to wikipwedia and do not quite understand why the page is up for deletion.
I get a message at My Child New Zealand telling me that a google search revealed no coverage.
We are a orginisation run from New Zealand helping parents find childcare services in their area.
We are in position on google.co.nz for the keyword "preschools".
Could you please advise. I would love to become active in the Wiki community.
Kind Regards
My Child New Zealand —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mychildnz (talk • contribs) 02:31, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
- Well, your company isn't really notable for Wikipedia (see our notability guidelines) that's why I tagged to be speedy deleted. I suggest you read that to be guided. Thanks! JohnHWiki talk - 02:36, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Zynga.svg
Thanks for uploading File:Zynga.svg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 12:05, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, bot in error. I already added license tags in the first place..Ahh, someone fixed the license tag. Never knew it was a broken tag. JohnHWiki talk - 23:05, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion contested: AhnLab SiteGuard
Hello JohnHWiki. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of AhnLab SiteGuard, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 does not apply to software. Thank you. Logan Talk Contributions 11:23, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, I thought downloadable web programs from the internet is basically web content. Thanks! JohnHWiki talk - 11:25, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Please keep in mind WP:DFTT and WP:CIVIL when responding to a new user. Regardless of how rude he/she may be, you may not make comments such as "My recommendation: shut up". And when first responding, don't say something like "I'm pretty sure you don't control Wikipedia, right?" If you're not polite to a new user, do you think he/she will be motivated to say something nice back? For all we know, Wikipedia may have just lost a constructive editor who simply didn't understand the criteria for inclusion on his first try. (In fact, I think the repeated bot notices and templates were aggravating the situation.) /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 16:37, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm terribly sorry. I was just both annoyed and tired that night.. JohnHWiki talk - 23:24, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: Nathaniel Bacon (singer/songwriter/actor)
Hello JohnHWiki. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Nathaniel Bacon (singer/songwriter/actor), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: subject is covered by a reliable source (see ref #1). use WP:AFD instead if he fails WP:BIO. Thank you. SoWhy 11:24, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Someone whose creations (see wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Madhyam) are present in wikipedia for years and someone who is already present in other languages (see this link ) should not be considered fit for deletion. Sitaretv (talk) 09:49, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- An Administrator has already deleted the article. The reason (I guess so.) is that the person you have said so is not notable enough to be English Wikipedia (location is basically on English speaking countries) but is notable enough to be Hindi Wikipedia (basically notable or popular on India.). I hope that clears up what happened. Thanks! JohnHWiki talk - 09:59, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- That is not convincing. His creations are for anyone and a large part of users live in western countries. If one goes by your argument (Hindi specific people), these pages would not be there in wikipedia english-
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Lata_Mangeshkar (Hindi singer)
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Om_Thanvi (very similar to the person in focus) (Hindi editor)
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Sachchidananda_Vatsyayan (Hindi writer)
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/QuillPad (Hindi software)
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Kamayani (Hindi poetry)
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Mrinal_Pande (Hindi Editor, similar to the person in focus)Sitaretv (talk) 10:27, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
- I really couldn't do anything on recreating the article (I'm not an Administrator), but you really want the person to have a Wikipedia article, try reposting the article with sources of it proving it is really notable (Please notify/message me if you have.). I recommend adding atleast 5 reliable (newspaper/news sites - better if it is from another country other than India.). After that I'll tag it with a Articles for creation (or AfC) tag (Don't worry, this will not delete the article, unless it is declined.). If it gets approved, there is very little chance of it getting deleted. Cheers! JohnHWiki talk - 10:53, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
