A tag has been placed on User:Jetmirconsulting/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 09:35, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Request reason:

Hello Team, I am entirely new to Wiki and was watching a class on creating a company Wiki Page. I was following the steps and was drafting a company Wiki Page. I put the changes in the sandbox as instructed with the idea that it was far from being ready and only I would see it. I am very new to Wiki so it was my understanding that the sandbox would not be viewed by anyone other than me. Now I am blocked from drafting one? I just need a little help to understand (I am a bit slow from my disabilities, but I can eventually figure it out). Thank you very much

Decline reason:

You have not proposed a new username as instructed. Wikipedia does not have "company Wiki Pages", it has articles about companies. All edits to every page on Wikipedia appear in the Recent Changes feed, there are no private areas on Wikipedia(though some areas are harder to find than others). If you don't want other people to see what you are writing, you should not write it on Wikipedia. What you were writing was a clear advertisement for what I assume is your company. Please read WP:PROMO, WP:COI, and WP:PAID(being an employee counts as paid editing). You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your company. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you are interested in being a general contributor and editing about topics unrelated to your company(like Joe Biden or science or history) please tell what topics you might edit about. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 20:44, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Hello Dep, Thank you so very much for your additional information and the opportunity to respond. Response (1): I receive no compensation for contributions in accordance with Wikipedia: Paid-contribution disclosure requirement. Response (2): I would like to propose a new username: erikjetmir (what I found from the instructions: “ Your username does not have to be your real name, although some people think it is best to do this”). I apologize for the issue with the name selection. Response (3): I accept that Wikipedia does not have company pages, but articles and all edits appear in recent changes feed. Response (4): I am interested in learning the Wikipedia editing process to edit and submits pages about other topics, not my company only. I was poorly informed when I posted that and thought the parked page was somewhere I could just draft a page to learn all of the editing process. I reread the WP policies and complete accept and understand them. I apologize for the misunderstanding. Response (5): I understand the reason for the block because in the recent changes feed my username appears in clear violation of WP:PROMO, WP:COI, and WP:PAID in developing a page that appeared like a company advertisement. It was in fact a draft page for a class that I did not think anyone could see and I had no intention of publishing it. I just needed to understand how to add references, pictures, and text. Because I am a bit slow sometimes (sometime a lot slow) I missed some of the WP instructions. Now that I see where my mistakes where I will not make those kind of edits on Wikipedia. I will make all edits offline and when I am done with them, I will then input them into Wikipedia in adherence to all article writing WP polices. Response (6): The contributions I intend to make (completely unrelated to my company) I draw on by background in public policy, research and writing. I am a PhD candidate in public policy (tech is sometimes harder on me than others, but I am solid researcher) so I can make great contribution in social issues, politics, culture, sociology, literature and public policy. Response (7): Yes, I do understand, accept, and support the idea that Wikipedia has articles and I have found those articles to be invaluable to me in many ways. Very much so. Thank you in advance for your time and apologize you had to take time out of your day to address this all. V/r, Erik Jetmirconsulting (talk) 21:34, 17 April 2022 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You claim you do not count as a paid editor according to WP:PAID, but Jetmir Consulting was founded by Erik Jetmir, which means you are very, very, very clearly a paid editor according to WP:PAID. Furthermore, you later accept that you did indeed violate WP:PAID. You seem to be having a laugh here. Yamla (talk) 10:51, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've renamed your account. Someone else will look at the substance of your request. 331dot (talk) 09:11, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
