Please provide sources
[edit]Hello, I'm TheRedPenOfDoom. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Uttaran, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Srinagar. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. [edit]Do not remove content. AP capital region is officially recognised by government on 31 December 2015. check the reference. What you are referring is the capital city, region is quit differenct it was existed earlier also in the name of VGTMUDA, when state was united also. Delhi is not repeated twice Delhi NCT is the main delhi, NCR is quite different then why there are two urban authorities. Check before removing. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 17:02, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi there, with regard to these changes, if you intend to edit articles at Wikipedia, you really need to familiarize yourself with our guidelines on appropriate sources. Please see WP:RS, and as a supplement to that, our guidelines on user-generated sources. A faceless blog like flashbollywood.com would never qualify as a reliable source per community standards, because anyone with an internet connection can start a blog and call himself an expert on any subject. We only care what mainstream published sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say about anything. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:30, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 28
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 9X (TV channel), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 9X. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Location parameter of TV infobox
[edit]Hi there, re: this, the |location=
parameter is for the production location if different from the nation of origin, not for where the show is set. If the series was shot and produced in France but was an Indian series, then we'd write "France", but Delhi and Mumbai are part of India, so there's no use for the parameter. You may find it useful to review Template:Infobox television as some parameters are not very intuitive. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:35, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Your edit here was not consistent with WP:TVCAST. Please familiarize yourself withour Manual of Style for television articles. Per WP:TVCAST, "The cast listing should be organized according to the series original broadcast credits, with new cast members being added to the end of the list. Articles should reflect the entire history of a series, and as such actors remain on the list even after their departure from the series."
Your move of Poorey is not consistent with this guideline, as it doesn't give readers an idea of when Poorey was introduced or who was introduced before her. Also, we don't use slashes. See WP:SLASH. Lastly, as previously noted above, you have misused the |location=
parameter of the television infobox. From the template instructions: "Production location, i.e. where the show is/was shot. Leave blank if same as country of origin above." If you intend to edit television articles, you are strongly urged to familiarize yourself with community guidelines and to adhere to them. The guidelines exist to promote consistency across television articles. Any deviation from the guidelines need to be achieved through consensus, i.e. through discussion on the article's talk page.
Also, in case you've never seen a quality television cast list, See List of Millennium characters#Main characters. That's what the section is supposed to look like, not like the skeleton found at Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!. Indian television articles are across the board sub-par because many editors appear to be unaware of what the goal is, and/or they're adhering to some completely incorrect template. Thank you. Gender identification
[edit]Hi there, re: this, I'm curious if in your experience you find that Indians in general have difficulty figuring out who is male and who is female. Is this a cultural problem of some sort? Because I'm struggling to understand why you made a point of indicating that Nikhil Arya was playing the "main male antagonist" as opposed to saying that he was one of the main antagonists. The gender labeling thing is a phenomenon I generally have only seen in Indian entertainment articles,[1][2][3] and I just don't see the point of bloating articles with information that can be discerned just by looking at someone, however I'm interested in your rationale for including it. (I should probably also note that we typically avoid interpretive labels like "antagonist" anyway, per WP:ANTAGONIST which is widely embraced by WikiProject Television and also since "antagonist" and "protagonist" is very often misused to describe subordinate characters, when in fact an antagonist is typically the chief foil to a singular protagonist...) Oh, also, I don't know what "put down his papers" means. This sounds like a slang expression, which should not be included in an encyclopedia. If you mean that he broke his contract or something, then we should probably say that. I've removed the idiom. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:07, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

Re: this, there's no sourced content in the article that suggests the series is going to end, and even if it is, we wait until the thing ends before slapping a 'series has ended' category on it, just like we always wait for episodes to air before incrementing the episode number count. See also WP:CRYSTAL which tell us that Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, so we should not be predicting stuff. For all you know, the series could get a last-minute pickup and not actually end in 2017. When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to List of programs broadcast by DD National does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Bongan® →TalkToMe← 16:56, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
Hi JayB, thanks for finding a reference about the Star Dopahar discontinuation. Please note this edit. We do not prematurely end series in the infobox. We can add prose content about a planned discontinuation (which we should have done anyway so that readers have useful context), but we don't update the values in the infobox until the end comes. This is consistent with the way we treat episode counts and season counts--we only change those when we air a new episode or start a new season. Please see Template:Infobox television instructions if you're interested. Thanks and regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:25, 19 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages.
