Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Distributor for Miraculous.

Is it okay to put "Toei Company" on distributor with the "Citation needed"? You said, "If you want to list either Toei or Toei Animation as a distributor (within Japan), prove it by bringing a reliable source." So, is it okay to add Citation needed? PascalMuganyizi (talk) 20:30, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

@PascalMuganyizi: No, just don't put it. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 15:20, 27 October 2018 (UTC)

Why? You said, "prove it by bringing a reliable source." Source can be a citation, or can be true or not. PascalMuganyizi (talk) 18:05, 27 October 2018 (UTC)

But {{Fact}} can't be a permanent solution. If you have any other questions about Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, please go to the article's talk page, not here. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 17:03, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

OBS Gyeongin TV

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at OBS Gyeongin TV shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. @GiantSnowman: @Zchrykng: @Nyttend:
Alright, but I'd like to point you out that
  1. I did not write the "History" section.
  2. Something about the company's ownership and 'Why is the station called "OBS"?' were eventually needed to be written, and they were properly sourced at that point.
JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 08:42, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
Who wrote the History section isn't particularly relevant; the main reason for the block was that it wasn't appropriate to restore it repeatedly. Meanwhile, I've restored the ownership and etymology because it obviously wasn't removed on the grounds of cutting unsourced content; thank you for pointing me to that. I've asked Bankster to explain that removal. Nyttend (talk) 15:04, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
@Nyttend: About that former History section, I hoped that somebody would clean it up by rewording and turning it from timeline format to prose format, but not by blanking it entirely. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 16:59, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

Toei Company: A Miraculous distributor?

Before talk about Miraculous being distributed by Toei Company, I know that, I get it, you know, I understand that Toei Animation, was involved in the early 2D promo in 2012, which first stage of development, and is still with the executive producers credited in its current form 3 years later, in 2015 (which took 3 years of development), and its upcoming OVA that was confirmed in 2016, a year after the show started. But I'm still thinking that Toei Company is distributing Miraculous Ladybug since Toei Animation is co-producing it with Zagtoon, Method, and SAMG, and the show debuted in Japan last summer. I'm still thinking that Toei Company is distributing Miraculous, because Toei Animation is owned, and operated by Toei Company. And my guess is that Toei Company distributed the show internationally. That's my guess. I'm just a detective. I find pieces of the puzzle. And, I understand that you can't put "Citation needed" and all that, even though it's not distributed by Toei Company, I'm still thinking that it's distributed by Toei Company because Toei Animation and Toei Company are the same name owned by the same company.

@PascalMuganyizi: Toei (Animation) was surely involved in the production, but that doesn't always guaranty that they be the license-holder within Japan.

ABC News (Australia) programming

Hello, just wondering why you moved Template:ABC News (Australia) programming from Template:ABC News programming when there is no obvious need for the additional disambiguation per WP:DISAMBIG? There is no other template titled ABC News programming from what I can see -- Whats new?(talk) 22:25, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

@Whats new?: (Sorry for late answer. I was sick.) I thought someone would have them mistaken as those from American ABC News. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 14:40, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
That's OK. Given there is no ABC News America template, I don't see the need per WP:DISAMBIG -- Whats new?(talk) 03:37, 23 December 2018 (UTC)

Viva TV (TV programming block) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Viva TV (TV programming block), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. Public broadcasting in the U.S.

I saw your posts seeking discussion on separating Public Broadcasting in the U.S. from the main article on Public Broadcasting. I concur. There's sufficient material available to justify this for both public television and public radio. I'd be glad to help on whatever might be needed to expand the article. There's enough here already to stand on its own for creating a new article, but of course more could be added to flesh out the array of topics, from its history and programming to funding and future. I'm currently working on something similar for Community Radio in the U.S. so I have some background on the subject and with that, a general idea of what can be added and improved. FIENDship is Magic

Why is FIENDship is Magic listed as a special edition in articles related to the My Little Pony comics issued by IDW publishing? FIENDship is Magic is not a one-off; it ran for five issues like the Nightmare Knights series. I believe it should be removed from the special editions section.--DeathTrain (talk) 15:45, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

@DeathTrain: I believe, even though it had a number of issues, FIENDship... is one of such one-off publications, unlike continuous secondary publications like Micro-Series and Friends Forever. Also, FIENDship... ended within a month. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 15:54, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
So do you have any other reasons aside from because it ended in a month? Does that mean that if it ran for more than one month, you would consider it otherwise?--DeathTrain (talk) 21:01, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
Publication period doesn't matter. One-off means one-off. Anyway, let's take it to Talk:My Little Pony (IDW Publishing). JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 12:07, 24 April 2019 (UTC)
Up to now, you still have yet to explain why you believe this series is a one-off publication. I have my reason to believe otherwise: It cannot be a one-off publication if it ran for five issues, the same number of issues as the "Nightmare Knights" series, which is not listed as a one-off. If "Nightmare Knights" isn't a one-off, then why should "FIENDship is Magic" be? You said yourself that publication period doesn't matter. When I look at definitions for "one-off", none of them are consistent with series that are published more than once like either of these ones.

Examples: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/one-off https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/one-off https://www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/british/one-off_1 DeathTrain (talk) 01:28, 16 June 2019 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Fosters intertitle.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Fosters intertitle.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hi! I saw we both have reservations about the editing on the Open Technology Fund page. The user who added Conspiracies and Controversies is back. I'm worried this person is causing serious harm to the page but also, because of the non-neutral editing, and because they list current employees, this is actually dangerous for those employees to be mentioned while the page has this inaccurate information up. Notice

The article Lusomundo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence this company is notable. Perhaps this could be rewritten as disambig?

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Margus Linnamäe moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Margus Linnamäe, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into MFE - MediaForEurope. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 15:53, 7 April 2023 (UTC)

Mediaset moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Mediaset, is not suitable as written to remain published. While it appears to be notable, it needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. There are large sections which are wholly uncited. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. I did this rather than removing the uncited material in the article, which I felt would be more disruptive. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask on my talk page. When you have the required sourcing (and every assertion needs a source), and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Or feel free to ping me to take another look.Onel5969 TT me 12:50, 18 April 2023 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Switzerland 4

Hello, JSH-alive. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Switzerland 4".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 05:30, 21 May 2023 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Max19582 (talk) 18:53, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
