Welcome from Redwolf24

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.

Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

Hi there! Are you ko:사용자토론:성혀니 from the Korean Wikipedia? If so, could you add a link from your userpage to indicate this? That way, we know how the accounts are interrelated. Thanks! --HappyCamper 13:24, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

I'm not too sure there is an easy way to do this. Unfortunately the task is not very much about editing HTML, and so I am probably not the best person to ask. You could always try the Village Pump for assistance. FireFox 17:10, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

Your username has been blocked indefinitely because it is either inflammatory, deliberately confusing, designed to impersonate legitimate users, or otherwise inappropriate (see our blocking policy for more information). You are encouraged to create a new account and contribute to Wikipedia under a more appropriate username, and in a constructive manner. See Wikipedia:Username for guidance on selecting an appropriate username. You may also edit Wikipedia without creating an account. You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia under an inappropriate username. If you would like to discuss the block, you may edit your talk page or email the administrator who blocked you.

Due to Wikipedia's mechanism for enforcing name changes, your IP address may be temporarily blocked. If you want to keep the contributions from your old account for your new username, please follow these directions: (1) Add {{unblock-un|new username}} to your user talk page. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page. (2) Soon, an admin may come to unblock you. (3) You will have 24 hours after the unblock to file a request on Wikipedia:Changing username before you may be re-blocked. Note that this can only be done before you create the new one. Samurai Jack

I'm looking at your recent edits to the Samurai Jack article and while I agree with some I disagree with others. When I revised this article from what it used to look like I attempted to follow the formatting of the Avatar the last Airbender article, which has FA status. Maybe I'm wrong, but I wanted to get your opinion on how to proceed. Sorry if this goes on too long.

First, I don't think there is enough information to make separate Jack and Aku articles as there are only only 5 paragraphs for each. They would probably be considered stubs if they were released on their own. These sections aren't poorly written they could probably be trimmed down a bit if length is an issue. They could also be filled out to make separate articles but that might just add too much fluff, which the article suffered from before.

Second, I could probably move most of the useful entries and references in the trivia section to the influences section under pop-culture and delete the trivia section altogether.

Finally, I like what you did with the formatting and I'll probably use the clear function in the future. Do you have any preference on image alignment though? I just alternated alignment to help break up paragraphs, and figured it looks good in other articles.

Let me know what you think when you have a moment. Hewinsj 02:13, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Cartoon Network Pakistan in Cartoon Network Sea Asia???

Hello!! Please be informed that Cartoon Network Pakistan is not Part of Cartoon Network South East Asian Feed but rather it has an independent feed of said country. I can proved it to you that Cartoon Network Pakistan Feed is found in Intelsat 10 satellite along with Cartoon Network India Feed and other channel. While Cartoon Network Asia Feed is in another satellite (AsiaSat 3s). Here the actual satellte feed coutesy of Lyngsat Satellite Data website:

Here's something to chew on, Cartoon Network in various countries within Europe have their own feed but get included in the pan-EMEA article as alone they do not have enough to justify an article alone. Whilst Cartoon Network may have it's own independent version in Pakistan, can you write a good enough article that can pass WP:N and WP:RS? I feel it cannot but you're welcome to prove me wrong. treelo talk 11:12, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

The song isn't Norwegian, it is Swedish, and written by Evert Taube. The title is "Som stjärnor små" (like little stars). You'll find lyrics here. In the lyrics that I linked to, repetitions are omitted. In line 3, the lyrics that I've found on the web (various sites agree) say "de vinka til varann" (they wave at each other), whereas in the audio you provided, what is sung is "de blinka til varann" (they blink at each other). --NorwegianBlue talk 13:15, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome. I remembered your previous question Track listing of a Norwegian Album, and googled based on the tags in the mp3 file. This turned up: http://www.maniadb.com/album.asp?a=110455. Anyway, here is the track listing, corrected for some obvious typos, and with some missing accents included. I've added "OK" to those that I've been able to identify, and "??" to the others.

Speedy Deletion Converted to PROD: Gloomy Candy

Hello JSH-alive, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I have changed a page you tagged (Gloomy Candy) from being tagged for speedy deletion to being tagged for proposed deletion. Regrading the Winx Club article

Why did you state on the history page that I messed up, I simply deleted all the unreferenced material on the article. I'm trying to help the article while you continue to add unsourced statements on the article. You claim you want to model the article after The Simpsons but what you don't understand is that the editors (including yours truly) provided a lot of reliable sources for the article while you insert sections like "Albums and soundtracks" which have nothing in them. I'm putting the article back to the way I view is right for Wikipeida standards and until you have references for anything you put in, I'll be reverting a lot of the edits. List of W.I.T.C.H. characters

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the List of W.I.T.C.H. characters article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the "Help Desk". You can also leave a message on my talk page. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 20:40, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of allies and other characters in Codename: Kids Next Door. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of allies and other characters in Codename: Kids Next Door. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 02:36, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

The article 南山 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

not appropriate for English Wikipedia

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Brianyoumans (talk) 14:24, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Well, um, the zh:南山 and ja:南山 (曖昧さ回避) have interwiki links to disambiguation pages "Namsan" (which only covers Korean ones). But the former two pages also covers Chinese and Japanese ones with same Chinese characters. I wanted to solve this "inequality" but, if this is wrong way, what is your idea? -- JSH-alive talkcontmail 14:49, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure. The problem, to my mind, is that the English Wikipedia should have its articles titled in English, so English users can find them. Also, having articles like this is a "slippery slope" - why not have a disambiguation page for terms in Arabic? Or Cyrillic? Or other, more obscure scripts? Well, mostly because they would be increasing hard for English-reading editors to maintain. As to the problem... I think the answer is that the info should be divided up into disambiguation pages based on the English transliteration, because an English reader/speaker would not expect to see "Minamiyama" and "Namsan" on the same page; to them, the names would seem completely unrelated. However, we could have a note on the "Namsam" page pointing out that the characters for Namsam and Minamiyama are the same, with a link.
I guess I am recommending that the article be moved back to something like "Namsan", with redirects from the other variant transliterations and from 南山. But maybe we could try to get a third opinion on this? Brianyoumans (talk) 15:14, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Ojamajo Doremi

In your recent edits on Ojamajo Doremi, it would be really helpful if you pitched out these suggestions on the talk page. I like your suggestion to branch out the plot summary section to something like Lost (TV series), but the only problem is that if you were to make individual articles for each of the series for Ojamajo Doremi, these articles will remain as stubs because there's not enough information to expand them individually. That's why all of the Ojamajo Doremi articles were merged in the first place.

I only suggested not to include dates of when the show was broadcasted because it was already covered in the "anime" section of the website, so it's redundant to state it again.

Hope you can respond and add any additional thoughts to this. lullabying (talk) 00:22, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

It would be easier for the community if you made your suggestions via the talk page and not the summary-of-change box. As said above, I wouldn't do what you thought of doing right now, and it's unnecessary to extend the broadcast session to the plot summary section since it's already covered in the Anime section as well as List of Ojamajo Doremi episodes. lullabying (talk) 17:16, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

sorry i haven't responded in a while, i currently added in the chapter list, but they are broken down by each book. What we can do is summarize the story of each book even further and add them in the chapter template summary section. and the overall plot can be in the plot section. Another thing i see is a lot of original research on these articles, for one list of W.I.T.C.H. items has a long list of accessories that aren't really important to mention. I suggest we merge all the settings and items together to make a Universe of W.I.T.C.H. article, basically everything that is about Witch series that's in-universe can be reformatted, trimmed heavily and put here.

As for the two character articles, they really need to be trimmed down, i see a lot of characters giving out the entire plot when it's not needed to. I also see the number of appearances in List of W.I.T.C.H. characters (TV show) So i suggest we remove the list of appearances and trim the articles to only mention his/her importance in the series and there personality. Cast of W.I.T.C.H. (TV series) really is unnecessary and shouldn't even be merged, it should just be removed completely.

there are more problems with these articles but first lets jsut try to focus on the main article and take it step by step.Bread Ninja (talk) 16:10, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

When you moved CCTV News to CCTV News (English), and then converted the old title to a disambiguation page, you neglected to fix the hundreds of pages that linked to the old title. This included a couple of redirect pages (like CCTV-9) that clearly needed to be targeted to the new title, as well as links in widely-used templates. The bulk of these have now been fixed. As this guideline states, when you change the article to which an existing title links, "it is strongly recommended that you modify all pages that link to the old title so they will link to the new title." Your attention to this in future would be helpful to the project. Thank you. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 13:48, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Winx Club

Hello JSH-alive. I have a question about why you have removed the "Winx Club" template from the article "List of Winx Club episodes".

Also see Talk:Winx Club page, I've given an explanation to you. Coolak (talk) 06:49, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Well, for the revoval of the template, it was my mistake. Sorry about that. -- JSH-alive talkcontmail 09:04, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

File:Fosters intertitle.jpg

Hey!

Would you be willing to insert a file called Fosters intertitle.jpg to Wikimedia Commons? This file is been placed on 29 december 2007 on Wikipedia, insert the media on Wikimedia Commons will allow other language versions use the photo and insert this picture to articles related to Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. Many do not have any pictures from the show and can not do it for reasons prohibited by fair-use there. I would be really grateful if you could put this file where I asked. Thanks in advance. Adventure Time Episode synopsis

I have to disagree with you on this one. I don't think the summaries of the episode should be longer than a few lines. Listing the voice actors is fine though. But revealing the ending and the entire story should not appear on a page that lists all the episodes. It makes the reading uneasy and is spoilery. It should go on an individual page. Maybe the Fionna and Cake episode warrants it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fishhook (talkcontribs) 17:54, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

Sources

If you really believe some sources to be unreliable, could you try and explain to me why this is? Also, there are many, many sources to be found on the internet and the ones I use are not even the most prominent ones (though they are labaled as "news" by google and high in the list when searching for "Adventure Time"). There are always templates like "citation needed" which can be placed rather then just removing things without discussing further. Mythic Writerlord (talk) 07:34, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Please, let us discuss here before you remove even more edits. Here is the original recap by Frederator Studios, the producer of Adventure Time: [4]. It was taken down but this is a very clear source. There is much more where that came from. Please, let us discuss here. Before you vandalise that page any more. Recap 2.0

You said:

"While I recognise the lesbian subtext in the episode, I think you are misreading whole situation surrounding the recap controversy"

I changed the part about the recap video. Could you please respond here or on my talk page and explain to me what I have missed with the recap controversy? We could always leave out that part, if you think that is better but for God's sake, COMMUNICATE here and not in editing summaries, please. :) Mythic Writerlord (talk) 14:50, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

== BBC News ==

Hallo, I see you've just made a revert that has undone somebody else's change to the BBC News article, as well as one of mine. I'm unsure whether you meant to revert mine as well - it is a sensible and good-faith edit made in the normal way, and I think in an appropriate place, naming two extremely distinguished BBC News correspondents in India. Would it be all right if I put the edit back - I am not one for edit-warring! Do let me know. Thanks. Hi. In Henshin, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Japanese drama (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). G1.5

Think we could work a compromise edit in there?? It's certainly a separate generation of Ponies.--SexyKick 09:02, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

So what we have is, G1, MLPT, G2, G3, G3.5, and G4??? Why isn't MLPT just G1.5?--SexyKick 04:09, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
From my understanding, G1 had no such dramatical change like G3 had with "Core 7" (where Hasbro reduced the number of characters to 7) and "G3.5". (where they changed the shape of characters, before another change for G4) JSH-alive talkcontmail 05:52, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
Well, My Little Pony Tales is a dramatic change from the original series, combined with the fact it happened a real life generation later, I would think calling it G1.5 for clarity's sake would be good. Like, you can't just say G1 because no one will think of MLPT. It also involves completely different characters, reality, and toys, yet somehow still remains G1. You know a lot more than I do about MLP though, what do you think?--SexyKick 10:03, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
Actually, I'm not an MLP expert at that much, either. Should we call some Hasbro employees? JSH-alive talkcontmail 10:32, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
lol, if only we could. That's a good one. :D--SexyKick 15:54, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Everything below "Idents" section.JSH-alive talkcontmail 15:19, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
What the names of tv stations? They're names, they don't need translation. The only other issue I can see is that it said "Actual" instead of "presently" or "now", took me about 10 seconds to fix--Jac16888 Talk 15:27, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
No, not about station names. And now, I'm not sure if the intro is correctly translated or not. JSH-alive talkcontmail 15:31, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Then what? You can read the intro, it may not be the tidiest english, but it doesn't need a translator to fix it--Jac16888 Talk 15:33, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Your GOCE requests

Hi. We only allow any editor to have at most three articles requested for copy edit at any one time, and each request must be for one article. I have divided your multiple request into three, taking the first three articles in your list. Please wait until these have been completed and archived before adding any more requests. If you want to give priority to a different three, just let me know and I'll help you with that. Regards, --Stfg (talk) 20:25, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Bronyetransportyor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

WP:RUS

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mdann52 (talk) 16:00, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

This help request has been answered. If you need more help, please place a new {{help me}} request on this page followed by your questions, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page.

I want Bronyetransportyor (currently a redirect to BTR (vehicle)) to be removed. It's incorrect transliteration according to WP:RUS, and it's that transliteration that caused bad pun vandals in the first place. When done, please fix redirects in these articles (and these too) to BTR (vehicle). JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 15:46, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

Done - speedy deletion template placed, links fixed Mdann52 (talk) 17:07, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

The article Kaijudo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no indication of WP:notability. No independent WP:reliable sources

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 18:56, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
