Isn't it the A1?

[edit]

On one of your recent edits on A421, you state that the A421 was initially dualled from M1 J13 to the A6. However, If I remember correctly, this phase of dialling occurred between the M1 and the A1, not the A6 (which meets the A421 at a junction further west). (Unless the stretch between the A6 and Black Cat Roundabout got demolished somehow, maybe by UFOs?). Anonymous MK2006 (talk) 17:07, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Anonymous MK2006: Maybe I haven't written it clearly. The A1-M1 link was built in three phases, but I'm not certain of the order. I believe it was
  1. Bedford southern bypass (Renhold to A6 near Kempston)
  2. A6 to M1 (Marston Vale)
  3. Renhold to A1 (Great Barford bypass)
Feel free to edit to make it clearer. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 18:34, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@John Maynard Friedman: Thanks for that clearance. I have made it slightly clearer, as it make sense to refer to the whole dualling project, as opposed to one section of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anonymous MK2006 (talkcontribs) 16:46, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
