Username
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, Itvfootball, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it your username is the name of a real world organisation, giving the impression that you are acting on behalf of that company, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:01, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

I was trying to improve wikipedia and the following rule is: Ignore All Rules
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Ignore_all_rules
- Which says, in a nutshell, "If a rule prevents you from improving Wikipedia, ignore it". It doesn't exempt you from providing reliable sourcing or from edit-warring. Read it again please. Rodhullandemu 18:12, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Besides that IAR is never a reason to do anything. The rules are a result of discussion and consensus between a large amount of editors which means that ignoring a rule equals stating that you disagree with the same editors. So in those cases you should be able to back it up with solid arguments. As a conclusion: WP:IAR + "Improving wikipedia" is never a valid argument in any discussion.
