Blocked for sockpuppetry
[edit]This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing for sock puppetry per evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Elfinshadow. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. If you believe that this block was in error, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. Standard offer
[edit]Dwaro (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I've been blocked from the English Wikipedia more than half a year because I used multiple accounts. I miss editing Wikipedia and would like to contribute again, with just a single account this time. Would an admin willing to review this WP:SO? Thanks. Dwaro (talk) 18:09, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Please disclose all accounts you have used, along with your last edit with any account. We'll use this to verify, among other things, that you've waited at least six months since your last edit. You'll also need to convince us you'll never again misuse multiple accounts. Yamla (talk) 13:39, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
@Yamla: Hi, thanks for your reply. As you can see here, my (now blocked) sockpuppet accounts were User:DwaroPublic, User:Afvalbak, User:Streepjescode and User:Eoppa. See also the comment from @TonyBallioni:. I have thoroughly read WP:SOCK and won't do this again. Dwaro (talk) 15:10, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- For any future unblock request, I see no evidence of recent block evasion here. --Yamla (talk) 15:34, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

- What’s your relation to NotEngels (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki)? TonyBallioni (talk) 17:44, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @TonyBallioni:, that account has been used by a family member for some contributions on the Dutch Wikipedia, I don't have used it myself. Dwaro (talk) 18:12, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- Cool. I’m neutral on an unblock as the blocking admin and don’t need to be consulted further. Also have permission to unblock without contacting me or another CU if someone thinks it’s warranted. My standard suggestion is a conditional unblock with a one account restriction, but up to the people reviewing to determine if they think that’s needed. TonyBallioni (talk) 19:31, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- The underlying reason for this block, WP:GHBH where the bad hand is WP:UPE, has not been addressed. MER-C 20:01, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- I have never been paid for Wikipedia edits or being asked by someone else to promote any subject. I did my best to write according to WP:NPOV. Dwaro (talk) 20:06, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
- I've also worked on removing promotional content, see here for example. Dwaro (talk) 20:18, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

- MER-C is correct, Dwaro - the socking issues originally jumped to attention because of undisclosed paid editing. Please expand on that and why unblocking you doesn't pose a major risk on that facet as well. Nosebagbear (talk) 14:14, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @Nosebagbear:. I haven't been paid for any edits, but I might have written from a fan point of view. I have read WP:COI with the WP:UPE paragraph and WP:NPOV and will disclose such things on my user page might that be needed in the future. As Tony suggested a conditional unblock with a one account restriction, that would work because my edits will be monitored by other users like Graywalls (who did that in the past already). Dwaro (talk) 20:59, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- @MER-C: what do you think? Nosebagbear (talk) 10:34, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- I don't find this convincing. MER-C 11:20, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- Me neither - it's not so clearcut that I feel in a position to decline it, but I'm certainly not sufficiently convinced to accept it. If you or another admin wants to do either of them, please feel free to go ahead. Nosebagbear (talk) 13:19, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
