RfPP request

[edit]

Hi Iggy, hope you're doing well. I just wanted to let you know I requested User:Iggy the Swan/MRY history details to be indefintely semi'd over at WP:RFPP. Hope you don't mind! -- LuK3 (Talk) 13:23, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

First of both, thanks for that.
I had forgotten all about this user page since 2018. This is not something that I have updating any more as I have done it too many times and I'd become tired of doing that. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:04, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Press coverage pages

[edit]

Hello! I saw your ES [1]. AFAICT, per the discussion here [2], there's no problem with adding The Sun and similar, unless there's some sort of BLP problem like OUTING going on, but that's true of any press. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:13, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'd thought The Sun would be on the black list in any case but I see we have no problems with that, cheers. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:08, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know..........

[edit]

.........our irritating friend seems to be back under some new IPs -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 10:06, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ChrisTheDude: - this user has also vandalised a few pages on Commons as well including my talk page. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 14:55, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Leon Osman

[edit]

Well he tells us he is! [3] And it's also obvious for anyone that watches one of the footy progammes when they see him on TV. I don't understand the obsession why everything needs a citation, you don't need a citation for an obvious, but some people seem to think you do!! :/ Govvy (talk) 19:12, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

He does and I see a verified Twitter account with his name- I didn't look at that. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 20:56, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I feel your pain

[edit]

It is a remarkable and unprecedented situation we find ourselves in. Although I will miss watching Cardiff inevitably self destruct at the final hurdle, it is not without good reason. Stay safe! Kosack (talk) 06:39, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The matches should still be played but the seasons will probably go beyond the original end dates - we don't want teams to move divisions unfairly. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 09:02, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't like uncertainty either, but something had to be done. Hopefully now the decision-makers will have time to think through how they'll get it sorted out. I'm already missing Birmingham's annual just-about-avoiding-relegation run-in... But there's always plenty to do here, the trick is not to let the idiots get to you. Take care, Struway2 (talk) 09:15, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I turned on the TV to watch Soccer AM, even that isn't on the box!! Football Focus is on a little bit later know. Or to supplement our season we can always setup a FIFA online league!! Govvy (talk) 10:41, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The channels BBC and Quest found something to put on the usual Match of the Day and EFL on Quest, i.e. things I don't watch. Some of our football stars could have contracts ending before seasons finish. The decision makers should sort out everything once March comes to an end and every club accepts playing, there are still points to play for. But for now in the football world, there is nothing to see here. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 13:48, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your reverts

[edit]

Your reverts are totally unacceptable since you could easily have adjusted the year without undoing my edit which was done in good faith after the main article was moved.--Sakiv (talk) 02:23, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

e.g. This edit says the page has been re-titled as Euro 2021 where it is not currently known as that yet. This can become Euro 2021 when the page gets moved by consensus of reliable sources seen. WP:OR is as it stands at this moment. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 22:01, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Maddie Ziegler

[edit]

Sorry, I lost your formatting changes because I had to revert a series of bad edits in the Filmography. Feel free to re-do your spacing changes, if you wish. -- Ssilvers (talk) 02:03, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Silly vandalism

[edit]

Try not to let it get to you. It's only bored locked-down kids doing the electronic equivalent of chalking rude words on walls. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 12:34, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that must be why. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 12:49, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Struway2: I should not let the My Royal Young socks get to us either, that person appeared to vandalise my talk page today. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 14:05, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

McBurnie

[edit]

Not needed, so I have removed. GiantSnowman 12:03, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Good morning. As I say at WP Football, I am at a loss to understand your reference to me in your last posting there. Would you care to elucidate? Best wishes. Daemonickangaroo2018 (talk) 08:07, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

By looking at the edit history, there have been many edits made by you under both the usernames you've used - I'm guessing that's one of the top pages on your time on Wikipedia. I'm not saying you are the player by the amount of edits made - after all we want that page to be as tidy as possible. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 16:13, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is "Users with indefinitely protected user talk pages". Thank you. Jackmcbarn (talk) 19:19, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I've just returned to Wikipedia having a couple of weeks break from it.
This page has been indefinately semi protected because an LTA vandal frequently targeted the page when it was open to edit by anyone. I'm not sure where the discussion has disappeared to, I will look in the archives and see where that is so I can have a look. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 17:16, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
