Not the first post this time
Got beaten to it. ;) Hehe... admin-to-be life sounds really funny. It's going well, I'm still terribly excited about how well the RfA is going. Thanks again for the nomination! And I'd definitly like to be an admin coach [eventually], just want to make sure I learn everything well enough so that I can coach properly. -- Natalya 21:23, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- I meant to tell you, don't give up on your adminship hopes yet! It may take a bit for you to have a successful RfA, since you are dealing with some controversial stuff, but I know you'll do it eventually. -- Natalya 21:28, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- Getting a Featured Article is hard! And the community doesn't despise you - how many times must we drill this into your head!? ;) There will always be people who disagree with you, as there are always people who disagree with everybody. Also, I saw the 'ass' comment.... you're free to leave it, of course, but you might want to take it down if you want to make amends... -- Natalya 21:41, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for keeping the tally updated on the RfA - you are very up-to-date with it! :) -- Natalya 10:49, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- I added a comment, because a bunch of that was bothering me (also tried to look for some sales figures, but failed) -- Natalya 23:00, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- I hope it helps! It just seems that Torchic is referenced so much better than all the articles that are already Featured - so even if people disagree, it is deserving. -- Natalya 23:05, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if I get the fire chickens part, but I do like the rhyming! And self-service vindaloo is certain to be very tasty! That's very exciting about the admin-ness, I'm going to have to figure out how to thank you properly! :) -- Natalya 23:12, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- Even though it's going to take quite a bit, I'm hoping to write thank yous for each person - just because I really appreciate all their support! -- Natalya 23:21, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

I seem to have trouble editing my signature. I want to have something like yours, except where it says Rainbow Sneakers, for it to say talk (and of course lead to my talk page). Thanks. Alvin6226 03:14, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey
I'm fine; in the UK, it's the half-term holiday anyway. I'm just sorting out some disambiguation pages; did you know that there are at least six computer game characters called Chu Chu? Hope you get well soon. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 09:24, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Urgent Request for Viewing of Pokémon Articles/Pages
Highway, I hope that you have the free time to view some Pokémon pages and articles, before any changes and/or deletions are made. The reason why I decided to ask you for help is because of the following:
- You are a notable Wikipedian for excellent edits to Nintendo articles.
- You are an Esperanzian.
- You edit Pokémon articles.
- Pertaining to the three points above, you can be trusted.
You don't need to view the pages and articles if you don't want to (your stress level is at Level 2, which is a bit worrying), and for all I know, I'm just overreacting. I just want to make sure that the right things are in the right place and not in the deletion log.
Please note that the term 'current' and any related terms concern the time when this article was submitted.
There are three things that you need to look out for in these articles and pages. I suggest visiting the relevant talk page and viewing the page history to get an idea of what is going on:
- May's age (currently omitted, dispute is between age 10 to 13)
- Romantic Relationships (dispute on whether this section should be omitted or not, currently omitted)
- May's Pokémon Emerald image (removed by A Man In Black; he said it was superfluous. This might be possible, because there is a similar image)
This page no longer exists, for A Man In Black made it into a redirect page to List of Pokémon characters. Review its Page History and decide whether it should be reverted or not.
There might be more articles, but with the recent shutting down of The Pirate Bay and the 2006 Java earthquake, I might have forgotten them.
I dare not do any reckless editing, and can only hope that you would pay a visit to these pages if you want to and as soon as possible. If you do undertake this, the decisions you make will be my assurance that you would make a great Wikipedian and Esperanzian someday (not to mention a load of stress off my head). -- A. Exeunt 12:34, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking at the articles, Highway, and leaving your comments on my talk page. -- A. Exeunt 03:45, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Torchic
Hi HighwayCello! I've just been having another look at Torchic, and aside from the section on the games, it's looking pretty good. The game section is somewhat unclear, though. Do all of the Pokemon games follow exactly the same plotline? You mentioned at least four games in which you get a Torchic, fight the same gym-boss, etc. It's not really clear which games you're describing. Other than that, I'm leaning towards a support in the FAC. Good luck! The Disco King 14:51, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes. Hmmm. It would seem that you have copied mine - along with my talk page header :P. --Celestianpower háblame 18:37, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
You cannot fail the article if there are citations but aren't done according to WP:CITE's liking. Plus the External links and inline links are citations for the text. I would appreciate if you would look at the article again and find other flaws to fail the article. Lincher 15:43, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- If you take a look at the good article criterias, you can't refuse a nomination on citations basis only. Unless there are none and they will be given to the Unreferenced GA nomination wikiproject. Lincher 15:49, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Unreferenced GA or missing citations
There is a page for the Unref GAs where these should be added to, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Unreferenced GA/Nominations. Please make sure to add the articles missing references in that list so that people can work on that issue. Lincher 15:55, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'm telling you this so that the articles that fail due to WP:CITE should be added to the list and since almost all the articles that have been failed by you today have that mention, then maybe you should add them to the list so that other people fix the citations. Lincher 15:59, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

(There would be a WikiLove template here, but it doesn't seem to be working right now...)
I come back from a break to see this...I really feel bad for what you must have gone through. (I'm considering playing as a girl when I get Pokémon Mysterious Dungeon, if you know what I mean).
You were the one who really helped me become more brave in Wikipedia. After becoming scared of Wikipedia around this time two months ago, I was a nervous wreck on Wiki. I was so worried that people would thrash me out, and you were the first person to really support me. I sincerely cannot thank you enough for that.
I am willing to bet 256 BP (which I do have) that for every active malicious person on Wikipedia, there are at least five people with the best of intentions. Just remember that there is always somebody who cares about you and hopes that you will be fine. PCEevee 23:57, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- That was meant to be Ranger, sorry. heheheheh. I just realized that when the new episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender started. (which was AWESOME, by the way) PCEevee 00:36, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Believers
Some of the issues you brought up I wanted to directly address, but there's not really any room for on the GA page to mention.
- -I know it's missing a culteral impact section, but frankly that's because there doesn't seem to have been much of one. I searched for hours online trying to find anything to use in this article but there's barely any hits. In any case, it's not a hugely popular manga nor is it very influencual. A culteral impact section would be pointless. And yes, those few references there are are ALL there is out there. And I didn't skimp on the searching.
- -There were no sequels. It was a short two volume work.
- -"I'm sure you can write more about the plot that one paragraph"
- I can and was, but it was becoming too long and isn't really needed. The purpose of the article is not to spoil the entire story, but to inform what it is about. I was using Planetes (a GA) as a base example.
- -"Also, please note the difference between references and footnotes."
- Huh? See WP:CITE for yourself
- "The following are different citation styles you can use to insert references into Wikipedia articles. The four styles listed in order are:
- Embedded HTML links
- MLA Citation Style
- Harvard referencing, and
- Footnotes.
- All four are acceptable citation styles for Wikipedia."
- -The fair use rational should be fairly obvious. But I will add some for you.--SeizureDog 00:18, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Fair use reasoning done. --SeizureDog 00:27, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yes footnotes as plain footnotes and footnotes as references are different, but there's no reason to seperate them when there are so few of each. The problem with trying to write more about the plot is that once I tell one thing, I have to tell a whole bunch of other things of equal importance. And then well, it starts looking too large. Also, see WP:FICTION #4: "the point of Wikipedia is to describe the works, not simply summarize them." And in any case, since it's for a good article, the length shouldn't matter. It's popularity anywhere must not be too great, considering that I can't find any information on the subject including on foreign pages, so there's no point mentioning that. And it was not released anywhere besides Japan. There are plenty of things Believers is not, but I can't very well spent half the article just saying all the things its not. If it's not mentioned, its because it isn't there or there's absolutely no information on it. Please understand that the article is as "broad in coverage" as it can possibly be, as the lack of information on the title just prevents it from going anything further. Therefore, it can never be a featured article for "comprehensiveness", but considering that there is far more information on this one site than anywhere else on the web I believe it to be deserving of a "good article". Please get back with me soon.--SeizureDog 22:54, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ok fine. I think I'm going to submit it for review again. You say you won't re-review it, but will you also not move to block it?--SeizureDog 23:04, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- I meant put it up for nomination again. If it fails from another person then I guess I'll have to accept.--SeizureDog 23:33, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Extra special thanks for my nominator (you get the haiku bit too)
- Thanks for your support
- In my RfA, which passed!
- Wise I'll try to be.
Had you not nominated me, it never would have been so successful! I will forever appreciate your confidence and trust, and hope that I can repay it sometime. I am honored that you say I've made you a better editor.
Those are fantastic shoes!! You were right. :D
In other news, it's nice to see that the FAC is proceeding in a more positive direction!

Old help desk question
I remember you asked a question a while ago at the help desk about external links that were in another language - I just ran across a better (and similar) answer for you, but now it's actually official - take a look at Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(links)#Foreign-language_sites. -- Natalya 14:10, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Iloveminun
I'm not the best at giving advice, but by the looks of things, Iloveminun is being ridiculous. I'm considering giving him (her?) a 24 hour WP:NPA block, but he's not been warned. I gave him a last warning (Celestian has given him earlier warnings), and I'm keeping an eye on him. By the way, you aren't the only one to jump the gun a bit on RFAs... my first one also failed. Don't feel too hard on yourself for it. Excellent work on Torchic (isn't the little chicken cute?! Makes me sad I choose Mudkip...) ! smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 14:13, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- I chose Bulbasaur in Blue/Leaf Green and Cyndaquil in Silver. By the way, something I've be meaning to ask; what does your name mean? Do you play the cello? Do you build highways? :) smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 14:25, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Don't worry; I blocked him just as you sent the message... He has a one hour block, which increases to one day for WP:3RR if he does it again... smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 19:58, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- He's not above sockpuppetry, as we've learned. Looking back at his contributions, he used to be a good editor, but then he got too hung up on promoting his fansite and ruined it all with namecalling and childish vandalism... smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 20:03, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- I think you're right; if he continues to vandalise after the block ends, I'll get an uninvolved admin to consider a permanent block (it would be a bad idea for me to do it, as I now count as involved). BTW, User:Actown, who ILM was claiming to be an administrator, is actually just a normal user, but with a rather confusing "I hate HighwayCello" rant now plastered across his user talk page, courtesy of Iloveminun. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 20:09, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ah well, then he should have just found himself autoblocked... smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 20:13, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Perhaps filing a user conduct RFC would be a good idea now... I'd be happy to back you up as the second user to try and resolve the conflict. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 12:16, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- An RFC is a process whereby a problem user is asked to explain himself, and other users (not necessarily arbcom members) suggest resolutions. Basically, it would be like an official version of your Minun subpage. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 12:18, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've filed one at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Iloveminun. Do you agree with the description given? smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 13:08, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- That's all, unless you feel I've forgotten something. However, since he has done nothing since creation of the RFC, I'd be against listing unless he does something else; for now he's trying to add Talk page headers to Pokémon articles. smurrayinchester(User), (Talk) 20:04, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Information from images removed
I am sorry but I don't understand why I received a message about something like this. I never removed any information from an image. This is truly bizarre to me. I need an explanation for this. --Stardust6000 22:19, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Your talking about that image, you don't quite understand. I added a licensing tag to the image so that it wouldn't get deleted and then I removed it when I found out it didn't need that particular tag. I simply changed the page to the way it was before I added the tag. I never truly removed information. --Stardust6000 22:24, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
I found out after looking at similar images that it would not be deleted. The image was not released by a company, but was released by an individual Wikipedia user. It was a mistake on my part to add the tag, because it never needed it. I hope that clears everything up. --Stardust6000 22:34, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
The image being tagged for deletion is not my problem. The tag that I put down wasn't even correct, plus I wouldn't have even known what tag to put down anyway. I hope you know that after I put the tag down I realized immediately that it was a mistake and removed it. I thought that it was a promotional tag because I thought that I saw that image before, but I didn't. It is up to the original uploader to tag it. The image seems to have been created by a user. --Stardust6000 22:43, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Archiving
I deleted those messages to make room for more so that the page doesn't grow overwhelmed. Despite working here for some time, there are still many things that I don't know. Archiving is one of those things that I don't know how to do, and it is also one of those thing that I have never even heard of. --Stardust6000 22:38, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Archiveness
Thanks for putting the boxes in each archive - that makes navigation much nicer! Sorry the problems are continuing... hopefully the block will have quelled them?
