Good call, here: [1] I was just in Marawi the day before yesterday, had lunch in one of the nicer neighborhoods, after staying in a guest house on the sprawling (and apparently unscathed) MSU campus. I asked to be taken to the battlefield ruins, and yeah, it was bad. (I got a view near one of the bridges, from the roof of a shot-up school building, still abandoned. This really put it in perspective.) I'm guessing the war wreckage is about 5% or less of the total city area. IIRC, about 80% of Marawi schools are back in operation, and I saw a lot of those kids trooping to school in the morning. Parents don't take their kids back to war wreckage, and there just isn't that much war wreckage in the city. Yakushima (talk) 02:33, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:41, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Motto for 2019 Southeast Asian Games

[edit]

I'm not assuming about that, I'm just saying that the correct translation of the motto was my translation, so there is no citation needed for that and also I read some books already to have a Tagalog version of the motto. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rustiz (talkcontribs) 10:29, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I get it sorry for not being clear enough about tagging the motto for citation needed. I don't know which books are you referring to though. Maybe you could cite those books though even if they are are only available offline (Just some tip: you could use "Cite" then "Templates" then choose "cite books" from the drop menu; Then show/hide advance field so you could place the quote supporting the claim) but I would honestly be surprised that books already have the Tagalog version of the motto unless its one of the internal documents of the Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 15:26, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bangabandhu Gold Cup

[edit]

I actually wanted to talk about the issue on the 2018 Bangabandhu Cup, FilfootyGuy always seem to assert on the fact that a newspaper source referred to the team as resereves. He is replying to me on my user page, giving me warnings about how I could be blocked, but is not replying either on the dispute resolution noticeboard Dispute resolution noticeboard or the Bangabandhu Cup talk page where other users have shared there views. He just reverts the page back to his favorable format and then comes back online after a day or two to revert the page back to the same format. What should I do here?--Anbans 585 (talk) 12:03, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also ping me when replying, that would be helpful.--Anbans 585 (talk) 12:04, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes that bringing the issue to the dispute resolution is the right move. Providing updates regarding their participation (or lack of thereof) in the relevant talk pages; as well as his revertions in the dispute resolution noticeboard would be appropriate.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 15:32, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Hhkohh. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, 2019 AFC Cup, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hhkohh (talk) 14:59, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I provided a cite this time. Club qualifying for the Philippines deviates from the norm as per reliable sources. The Copa Paulino Alcantara has been frequently mentioned by RS as the qualifying tournament for a second Philippine team for the 2019 AFC Cup. Placed the citation on the pertinent note.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 15:16, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hariboneagle927 I only want to know that why I'm blocked even I'm not doing anything wrong from uploading pictures that is true about some articles. And can you unblock my user page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rustiz (talkcontribs) 09:40, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have no moderator privilege regarding your situation. But you revisting the redlinks of the image you uploaded previously, It seems that the images you uploaded were deleted for copyright reasons. You see uploading copyrighted images is not allowed in Wikicommons and a common mistake by new editors is to upload images from the internet as "Own work" (and usually its the default option). Images can be uploaded here directly in the English Wikipedia under fair use with credits to the actual owner (for example: SEA Games 2019 Organizing Committee). Wikipedia:NONFREE could be a good resource regarding this. Also see Wikipedia:Appealing a block. You could re-appeal and have your account block.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 10:48, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
