User:Guywan/UBX/WikiPeace
Hi. Recently I've been clearing out the backlog at Category:Wikipedia-related user templates. When I came across your template, I realized that it is identical to {{User WikiPeace}} (comparison available here. Would you be okay with redirecting your template or removing the category from your template? --DannyS712 (talk) 19:37, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for alerting me to that odd redundancy. I've redirected the template and marked my duplicate for deletion. Guywan (talk) 11:52, 25 December 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for the welcome!
Hello, Guywan!
Thank you for the positivity the other day, it nudged me to move forward. Editing is more important, so i don't take the thing too seriously. I summarized it in [this form], best read as a burlesque. ANI's tone was way too serious, ppl looking for attack vectors on both sides, but a google search explained this is the norm, so i don't mind, and i'll move the discussion to WP:DRN, there maybe he will open up to discussion 😊.
—Aron M🍂 (🛄📤) wishes you peace!

- Thank you, @Aron Manning:. There is a thing I must warn you about, called Wikipedia Elitism. The editor who has been around longer and has made more edits is often treated favourably by Admins in disputes. If your plea for justice fails, do not take it too harshly. You are a valuable contributor to this project and I would like to see you stay for awhile.
- P.S: Your signature is potentially dangerous. Consider a less vibrant one. Regards, Guywan (talk) 16:35, 16 May 2019 (UTC)

AfroCine: Join the Months of African Cinema this October!
Greetings!
After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.
The AfroCine Project welcomes you to October, the first out of the two months which have been dedicated to creating and improving content that centre around the cinema of Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora. ArbCom 2019 election voter message
Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!
Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!

editToken
Hello Guywan,
Your scripts User:Guywan/Scripts/Ajax.js, User:Guywan/Scripts/LEA.js, User:Guywan/Scripts/Headings.js and User:Guywan/Scripts/ListAlpha.js are no longer functional because they attempt to get an editToken
from mw.user.tokens
. The scripts should instead get a csrfToken
. editToken
s were removed from mw.user.tokens
on October 3, 2019 at Phabricator during this edit as they were redundant to csrfToken

Disambiguation link notification for December 3
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Microeconomics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Capital (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:09, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
Pings
Hi! I saw you copied some of my todo list to WP:US/R. Pretty good idea - I probably should've done it myself at one point. Please do ping me next time, though. Thanks! Enterprisey (talk!) 22:37, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Enterprisey: Apologies for not letting you know. I was too excited to generate some interest and discussion. I should have suggested that you put your ideas there, instead of doing it myself! GUYWAN ( t · c ) 22:54, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
