I don't think your popups reversion of small-world network was apropriate. The external link was interesting, relevant, and non-commercial. Debivort 17:56, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, but given the pages updated by the specific user (Neural network/Sexual network/Entrepreneurial network/Small-world network/Complex system et al), all with the same external link, I had reason to disagree - G.A.S 18:33, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Category:Complex systems
Thank you for your contribution to the complex system article in the past. Currently there is a Call for Deletion for the associated Category:Complex systems covering this interdisplinary scientific field. If you would like to contribute to the discussion, you would be very welcome. Please do this soon if possible since the discussion period is very short. Thank you for your interest if you can contribute. Regards, Jonathan Bowen 14:50, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Wikimania 2007
Hi G.A.S
Wikimania 2007, which is being held in Taipei, Taiwan on August 3-5, is offering opportunities for travel scholarships to Wikimania for active users of Wikimedia projects from the continent of Africa. Although the original scholarship deadline has passed, please, if you are interested, you may still apply at http://wm07schols.wikimedia.org/apply.php. Sincerely yours, Cary Bass 20:53, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
ahh I feel stupid
You know how in some of the Mew Mews' article they have 2 citations (1 from absolut anime and 1 from Mew Mew power uncensored)? Well, MMPU lists both the Japanese and English names..so I was thinking that maybe you could change to only the MMPU citation because:
1.) Absolute anime is kinda like Wikipedia; users can add stuff that maybe inaccurate. This happened at one point in Ryou Shirogane's article.
2.) I think I might mess up some something if I try to change it.
THROUGH FIRE, JUSTICE IS SERVED! 23:16, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- I will update it, but it may take some time. G.A.S 06:02, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- Update: I should get to it this weekend. It is better if both citations are listed, though. Let me know if this is OK. G.A.S 19:55, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
I did some research regarding the TMM characters' ages - this is far more complicated than I thought. Refer to AoD275's talk page for details. 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 12:51, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Tokyo Mew Mew character infobox
User_talk:Yume_no_Kishi/TMM-ib
What do you think of this? (Yeah, I had some free time, and just couldn't stay away from Wikipedia...) 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 05:15, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- I like it. This was due a long time. I also like the ones in the articles (at this moment), but think they should only use one image. (These fields are needed exactly as used: Aliases, Species, Gender, Date of birth, Family, Created by, and the name with Japanese in the header, and I prefer the size of the used template more) Yours has the fields Age range*, English age*, #Voice actors, which I think is *more useful than/#omitted from the current fields. (As well as the header TMM Char). If these were added to the current template, we would have the optimal solution. Regards, G.A.S 06:21, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

By the way, do we have to put two pictures in it? IMO, it doesn't look good... 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 07:18, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- See italics on previous post. Suggestions: The font for the headers on the current template looks better in my opinion, so do the left align without ":". Good work so far! — G.A.S 08:06, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

- I had a look at it (and did a side to side comparison with the current one). — it is very, very, very good. Only issue is that "First appearance" can be left aligned and the kanji may be dropped from the title bar (as it is further below.) Regards, G.A.S 11:31, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

I think I've fixed this.
Technically, I can still improve it, if any other changes should be applied, but I think we need to move it to the Template namespace and see what will it look like in the articles. Nearly all parameters are optional, so if it will look too big, some info can be removed, and there'll be no need to edit the template again. (Another thing is if there's anything that should be added, but I think there's enough info... though there are things like grade and blood type... shouldn't they go to the infoboxes, too?..) 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 12:00, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think that info would be too trivial. I think only the info the average Joe is interested in should be addad to the infobox. If they need that info, they can read the complete article. Where are we going to draw the line, otherwise? Regards, G.A.S 12:17, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- It may be moved to the main template namespace. G.A.S 12:22, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Infoboxes colors
That IP (190.10.0.64, same that was linking random words in characters' profiles) keeps on changing them. I tried to use softer colors, like those used on Sailor Moon characters' infoboxes, and this IP changes them to the colors that are just too bright. Don't know what to do with this... It seems to have stopped now, but may come back.
Is there any note about using colors in articles in Wikipedia's "Manual of style" pages or anywhere else? Because using bright colors does not seem to make articles look better. 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 06:16, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- I would just add a comment about the color in the code (ie that it exactly agrees to the character's signature color/hair etc. (I had a look at the before and afters)). The actual rule is that one should not change the style used in the article if two styles are equally acceptable. And yours was first. I personally prefer the softer colors, as you can see on my (half empty) userpage. Regards, G.A.S 06:51, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- I think we should not worry too much about this until we implement the new infobox. Regards, G.A.S 07:19, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

- I have updated the others accordingly, (Ichigo was very hard to find the correct shade, and I could not find a better one for Pudding). Sincerely G.A.S 15:21, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Useless, the IP changed the colors again... seems to be obsessed with them... This person did it on some other articles, too, so it may be a case of hexophobia (fear of hex-coded web colors, and yes, I just made this term up... ^_^;;;). Anyway, I've moved the template - so far, it's only on Ichigo's article, please take a look at it. 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 16:36, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
We should post at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/3RR. Please update the colors as follow when they are implimented:
- Zakuro - #AB80B8 (Hair)
- Lettuce - #6dbc85 (Costume)
- Ichigo - #FFb3e7 (Hair)
- Mint - #7Fc6b6 (Costume)
- Pudding - #FFDF00
- Ryou - Goldenrod
- Massaya - blue
- Blue Knight - #2A52BE
- Ringo - #CC3333
- Berry - #FFFDD0
(But not yet - wait until tomorrow) — G.A.S 16:47, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- The colors look quite good. I made a table with them on the template's talk page. I think I'll put there the colors I choose when making the template as well, will see what looks better... 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 17:15, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Note: I picked the colors the same way I do it when making userboxes - I go to the web colors article and choose them from the tables. I think tomorrow we'll decide on the colors anyway, if only this IP stops reverting our changes... And if AoD275 will like these colors. 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 17:57, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- I am actually only worried about the colors for Ichigo, Mint, Lettuce and Zakuro, those colors were taken from the pictures, and I think they fit better - they are even softer. (I really dislike #7FFFD4, It reminds me of EGA color). G.A.S 18:02, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Do keep in mind that if the color I selected will be a problem in the title bar, the image too will be worthless. G.A.S 18:11, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Hm... I think I'll go look at other articles with character infoboxes (as I said before, I took some of the colors from Sailor Moon infoboxes).
Anyway, before using colors we'll need to discuss them with AoD275 and get rid of that obsessed IP-user who changes them. 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 18:20, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Looking through this article, it appears to be mostly written in past tense - AFAIK, it's not good for articles that deal with fiction, they usually use present tense (I don't remember if WP:WAF says anything about this, but most of the articles on such topics are written in present tense). I was going to rewrite it a bit, but I'm afraid I'll mess something up (my English is quite poor in terms of grammar), so I thought that maybe you or AngelofDeath could do something about this. 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 06:10, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- I will do it, no problem. G.A.S 07:49, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Found another poorly written article...
Aside from having the same grammar problems as List of minor characters in Tokyo Mew Mew, this article also has a weird layout.
Inside the "Anime" section, the monsters are divided into groups according to the type (animal, plant, human, other), and then they are listed in order of appearance inside these groups. That means, if I want to find a monster from a particular episode, not knowing what type it belongs to, I have to scroll through all these sections, which is not good.
My idea is to put a brief description of their types at the beginning of the section, and then list all monsters in order of appearance (like the minor characters in their article), just indicating what type each of them belongs to. I think such list would be much easier to read. I don't know if anyone needs to list them by type...
What do you think?
夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 05:47, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well, the list of minor characters, except for friends and family, are in order of appearance; it is easy to read. I think it is useless to list them by type. For that matter, the episode 49 appearance need not be mentioned, just "first appearance", it is too much of a spoiler otherwise, and serves no purpose. It can be mentioned, if needed, in that episode's summary. [Comment please?] It will be able to do it next week, though. G.A.S 09:03, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
WTF
That retard IPer is back. Not I'm not sure if I can just report him since its been days subce its been active. THROUGH FIRE, JUSTICE IS SERVED! 23:35, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I tested TWINKLE's vandal-reporting function on it. ^_^ (72 hours.) I think if it appears again, even after several days, it can be reported immediately, because it: a) vandalizes many pages at once, and b) has a history of such edits. Same goes for the second IP, because it is obvious they are used by the same person. And this person apparently thinks it is funny... (Maybe it's some kid?..) 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 05:54, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- You are making me consider TW for that same reason. (As subst: templates manually can be very tedious during RC patrols, not to mention the reporting part!) I prefer popups for reverting though, as I go through the diffs to find and then revert to a good copy, not just undo the last person's work (and it is really fast at going through the history.) G.A.S 06:02, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Question
You know these "Difference between kanji" sections in Masaya's and Blue Knight's articles? I think they don't look good in the middle of the articles, as they are more of a "content note", so maybe move them to a special section, as was done with Ichigo's age and the "reborn" note in the Mews' articles? 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 06:52, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- I will do it. (It is incredible how many things there are that is obvious for the Japanese — and most of that get lost in the translation!) G.A.S 07:09, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- Done. G.A.S 17:59, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- Looks better now, I think... (Heh, and I originally created an account on Wikipedia just to fix the Blue Knight's kanji - before that his name was written with 青 in the articles. ^_^;)
- And what do you think of what I did with the names in the Blue Knight's article (merged with VA section)? Would it make sense to do this in other articles? I mean, in Keiichiro's article there are just too many of them. And I think the articles should have some intro at the beginning, not just the TMM/MMP names stated... 夢の騎士Yume no Kishi - Talk 18:19, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- I think it will be safe to do it in the other articles. The translated names works a lot better at the bottom of the article. I tried to work on the lead sections myself, but gave up shortly after the preview each time. The lead is much better now. G.A.S 18:28, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- Done. G.A.S 17:59, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
RE
"Do they list ages, foods etc as on the dolls' packaging?"
It lists their grade, and food. I added the food to the orignal Mews except Ichigo, as I dont have the doll yet.
"What do they list Mint's DNA as being infused with?"
Doll: ノドジロルリインコ manga: same. wierdly in the english manga its still says mint is a ノドジロルリインコ (romaji counterpart. THROUGH FIRE, JUSTICE IS SERVED! 06:48, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- I am unsure if I understand you correct: Is "It lists their grade, and food" the Japanese Manga (i.e. what I meant with my question)? G.A.S 07:26, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- We can then cite the Manga for Ichigo. G.A.S 07:31, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Seems like you duplicated ノドジロルリインコ above. Is this correct? G.A.S 07:31, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
No, only the dolls lists grade and food. All it says in the japanese manga about Ichigo is that she is in Middle school. It doesnt which grade.
"Seems like you duplicated ノドジロルリインコ above. Is this correct? "

2 "only warning" tags?
you also left an "only warning" tag, but couldnt you have just report the IPer? THROUGH FIRE, JUSTICE IS SERVED! 02:32, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
True, but at that time he was not very busy vandalising as required. (I waited for him to start for about 1½ hours, but the only warning tag did work for a bit.) I guess it led to a longer block? G.A.S 04:53, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Furthermore, I believe a warning should be as recent as possible before a block is requested, and I don't believe one or two edits would have gotten him blocked since there was a few "good" edits in the meanwhile. Maybe uw-vandal4 (not uw-vandal4im) would have been more appropriate. G.A.S 06:00, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
