I loved it you asked your query. Keep asking.

Changé-4 landed at 45° towards South pole of moon and not actually in that region. For Chandrayaan-2,it's 70°. Regards Aman.kumar.goel (talk) 06:16, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Aman.kumar.goel:, I know Chandrayaan-2 will be first to land on south pole and most far side. I reverted that edit just because in that edit it says that first one to land on South pole region. But changé 4 was first to land to South pole region.[1] As it landed on South Pole-Aitken basin, I thought it is in South pole region. Please let me know if I am wrong. Cheers. Brown Chocolate (talk) 06:46, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

References

45° is precisely towards not inside south polar region. In case of Changé-4, it was 45° while in case of Chandrayaan-2, it's 70°. You have to land at least more than 80° to be in that region. So, even mention of "South pole" was replaced by southernmost region for this reason. Your edit didn't change anything, I just moved to your talk pagr to clarify after reading edit summary.Aman.kumar.goel (talk) 06:52, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. Brown Chocolate (talk) 06:59, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Vikram Lander followed the planned descent trajectory from its orbit of 35 km to just below 2 km above the surface. All the systems and sensors of the Lander functioned excellently until this point and proved many new technologies such as variable thrust propulsion technology used in the Lander — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.63.138.20 (talk) 18:04, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@124.63.138.20: Off course it does. But spacecraft failed to make soft land and performan experiments which was it's main objective. Loss of communication at this stage indicates that it made a apparent crash land on lunar surface. Please refer [1]. Also ISRO trajectory graph shows that between 2km-1.09km something goes wrong. I reverted your edits as confirmed sources said that it had crash landed, it's not only loss of communication. Happy Editing. Brown Chocolate (talk) 18:22, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding blacklist

[edit]

Hey, I found a proper citation for my edit but for some reason i cannot input it. It is showing that the page or link is blacklisted. Can you please help me out

   The link
 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_active_Indian_military_aircraft# Bikram Bagani (talk) 08:36, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Bikram Bagani:, Thanks for asking me. Please refer WP:Spam blacklist and WP:SPAM. Sites are blacklisted because of various reasons. Maybe the site from which you got source is not reliable therefore it is blacklisted on Wikipedia. Means you cannot add that url anywhere on Wikipedia. Please refer WP:RS. Cheers. Brown Chocolate (talk) 08:54, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just to expand on this comment: Bikram Bagani was inserting redirects to thehindu.com, not thehindu.com itself (both using the google search result link as well as dedicated redirect sites - both are blacklisted). And to take away the common misconception: sites are not blacklisted because they are unreliable (except if there is strong community consensus that we have to make an exception), they are blacklisted because they were spammed (though, if a site is spammed and unreliable, we often get less picky than with sites which are spammed and are more generally useful). --Dirk Beetstra T C 10:16, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Beetstra for expanding. Brown Chocolate (talk) 11:07, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the information guys. Finally found out what I was doing wrong.
      -Bikram Bagani
Hey @Beetstra:, just a question for you?. How do you find that which link User:Bikram Bagani was trying to insert. Cuz, at the time you made comment you were an extended confirm, just like me. Is there any tool or way you used and Congratulations for being an admin again. Brown Chocolate (talk) 09:35, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You can see the blacklist hits for each user (you don't need admin rights for that): https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:Log?type=spamblacklist&user=Brown+Chocolate (maybe also you should stop using the google redirect :-o ). Note that COIBot/LiWa3 also parse that list, and that you can find the hits in the LinkReports.
Thanks for the congrats! --Dirk Beetstra T C 10:30, 9 September 2019 (UTC).[reply]
Thanks for increasing my knowledge. And sorry for that Google redirect, I was just born at that time. Brown Chocolate (talk) 12:34, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Referring to a group as “is”

[edit]

Terrible grammar. The Rolling Stones is, The Beatles is, Queen is, One Direction is. That’s not English. These are groups, ie. made up of more than one person, hence they are addressed as such: The Rolling Stones are, The Beatles are, Queen are, One Direction are.
