WS250 moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to WS250. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:28, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please do not move this back to the main article space before responding to the COI query posted below. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:30, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Falia2. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:WS250, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:29, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves

[edit]

Hello, Falia2,

Please stop moving pages around multiple times. It's very disruptive and only serves to draw administrator attention to your work (which is what happened with me). There is no reason you should need to keep moving pages around to different titles, especially when they are still in a draft stage of work. Please think through a page move before you do it and do not act impulsively. Each time you move a page, you create a redirect and, in most cases, these redirects are unnecessary. If you look through your Contributions page, you'll see all of the red links from redirects that have been deleted so it's causing unnecessary work for others to clean up. Please leave the draft at Draft:WS250 until it gets approved and the next time it will be moved will be by the AFC reviewer. Also, do not move your draft articles to User space unless it is your own. You shouldn't take over a User page that belongs to another editor even if they are long gone or not using the page title. I have moved this page back to Draft space. Please try to edit constructively.

If you have questions about anything I've said, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 22:21, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Falia2,
You are continuing to move pages like Draft:Widescape_WS250 around multiple times. Please stop this habit. It's disruptive. Liz Read! Talk! 16:03, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This is clearly a paid editor (or editors) trying to circumvent the Terms of Use and Wikipedia's policies for their own financial gain. S0091 (talk) 16:09, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Falia2. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Falia2. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Falia2|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. S0091 (talk) 14:55, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Falia2,
I have asked you several times not to keep moving around the same articles to different page titles in different namespaces but you have continued to do so. This is a brief block to let you know that this disruptive editing is wasting the time of other editors and must stop. Please do not continue when this block expires or the next one will be considerably longer. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:18, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Falia2, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Falia2|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:10, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You are not being honest in your response at the AfC Help desk. It is clear Falia has a financial relationship with Widescape and you have been told to disclose that relationship now 4 times. You got by with it on the French Wikipedia but you will not get by with it here. S0091 (talk) 13:15, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Falia2/Widescape, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website, I have blocked this account from editing. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you.

Before an admin unblocks this user, please see this which makes clear Widescape is their client, along with the previous block, all the warnings they have received about declaring their paid status and the other disruption they have caused. This is clear UPE. S0091 (talk) 18:54, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
